I make my appointments using the Yelp app for The Beauty Room in Mililani's website. I like that Ada has her own room off to the side of the row of recliners ( more privacy) but today I could hear someone's high heels clacking back and forth during my entire session. There was also oldies music playing in the background that I recognized. You have your eyes shut the entire time after your eyes have tape applied. Today Ada finished in about 43 minutes which is super fast. This was not a retouch but a full new set applied. Ada is very pretty and gentle with a light touch. First time I noticed her fingers weren't cold during the service. Very glad I was in and out so quickly. You're not supposed to get your lashes wet for 5 hours. I was prepared with a Tokidoki hat, umbrella and windbreaker in my tote. Darn Kona Low Storm wasn't going to ruin my new set of lashes. Friday the 13 th for sure with wind, rain and power outages as I write this review in the dark. Take care, keep safe, dry and warm.

I didn't realize the price difference till my cousin brought it up after I told her how much I've paid including the tip. I understand charging if the appointment was going over time, but it did not. The wax used felt way too hot and left me with a burning, stinging sensation that continued even hours later. I've had Brazilian waxes before and never felt this level of discomfort. Now, weeks later, I'm still dealing with itchy skin and painful ingrown hairs. I reached out through Instagram hoping to talk to someone directly, but I haven't heard back. I understand that things happen and not every appointment is perfect, but I really hope the salon takes feedback like this seriously to help improve the experience for others.

She thoroughly explained how to prepare our skin beforehand and made us feel comfortable throughout each treatment. My grandma, who is not easily impressed, was pleased with the results of her facial. My mom couldn't stop talking about how soft and smooth her skin felt after the sugaring and threading. As for me, it was my first time getting a brow lamination, and Jenny did an amazing job shaping and evening out my brows while giving my entire face a clean, polished look. The business is across the street from Sage Creamy and there was a ton of street parking. When I got in I was immediately greeted by my technician. She informed me that my appointment was only for a tint and she asked if I wanted a lift. I thought I booked for both using their online website, but I guess I was wrong. However, she was very accommodating and told me if I wanted the lift and tint then I could come later at 145PM. I changed my appointment and I was so glad. It was very comfortable and super relaxing. She shares the room with another technician so it's possible for you to be in a room with another person. It was very easy and fast. The process was great and I was happy with my results! The price of it with tip was around $180 and I'd go back. She said it would like 5 to 6 weeks so I am hoping it'll last that long!

I recently took her course 1 day work shop and beginners course. She explains how a typical appointment would be like from the time the client walks in until they walk out the door. She went in depth about the anatomy of the skin, technique, color theory, different needles and depth, and different pressures, different ways of shading/outlining, how to take before & after and the entire process of mapping etc) Coming from someone who has no experience with a machine, never had any background in beauty, I walked out the first class feeling confident in myself that it is possible for me to do this. Before I left she had me practice on latex which I gave her a full set of eyebrows which surprised myself and sissy. Shortly after I left I practiced and practiced day in and day out & let me tell you my first sheet of latex was not that great (but as expected as someone who has no experience) I texted sissy a photo and asked for her advice and within minutes she's replies with tips for me on how to better my work. It was too saturated, you can tell my pressure in some areas was heavy & the pixels was not there. After following her tips, the next set I did was much better than before. Moral of the story for this is that there is infinite support with sissy. She wants to see every student succeed in this industry. I had a demo day we're sissy shows me exactly what goes on. I'm a visual learner, so seeing how it's done from start to finish really put things in perspective of what to expect during an appointment. 7/16/21 I had my model day and I was beyond nervous, but she calmed me down and was encouraging me that I can do this and I believed her. I felt at ease knowing she was there supervising me. I'm gonna post photos of my two models below and this will show you that will the right instructor and the amount of time you put in yourself to get better every day, this is the outcome! Never have I EVER had an experience like this. I am going on vacation next week and thought I'm here I should get started. Now, I am so embarrassed. They were nice, bushy, with a long tail; a clean canvas for an artist. I am devastated. Trying not to overreact but my eyebrows ARE GONE. And the hairs I expected to be removed had to be removed AFTER she handed me the mirror and I tried not to cry when I saw myself. I didn't get a picture before I coached her to "fix" them. NEWS REPORT THEY ARE NOT FIXED! My son said it's like I got a bad hair cut and I just need to let it grow back. But my brow hair takes forever to grow!
