I make my appointments using the Yelp app for The Beauty Room in Mililani's website. I like that Ada has her own room off to the side of the row of recliners ( more privacy) but today I could hear someone's high heels clacking back and forth during my entire session. There was also oldies music playing in the background that I recognized. You have your eyes shut the entire time after your eyes have tape applied. Today Ada finished in about 43 minutes which is super fast. This was not a retouch but a full new set applied. Ada is very pretty and gentle with a light touch. First time I noticed her fingers weren't cold during the service. Very glad I was in and out so quickly. You're not supposed to get your lashes wet for 5 hours. I was prepared with a Tokidoki hat, umbrella and windbreaker in my tote. Darn Kona Low Storm wasn't going to ruin my new set of lashes. Friday the 13 th for sure with wind, rain and power outages as I write this review in the dark. Take care, keep safe, dry and warm.

She gave me way too much and how I can't move that area of my face. I'm glad I only stuck with one area otherwise there'd be 0 movement anywhere. I'd go to someone who would actually listen to you. She has been so helpful with addressing the psoriasis that I have been dealing with for years, finally getting it under control, and fast tracked me on Biologics when I realized that PsA had set in. I feel incredibly lucky to have been at her office for a skin check during a flare, when she checked in on the psoriasis and asked about joint pain. Her thorough care saved me what can sometimes be a lengthy process for people to get diagnosed and treated for similar autoimmune diseases, and I know that being proactive is going to help me out a lot in the long run. All of the staff at the office has also been so helpful working with my pharmacy to get the medications approved and pushed through despite a few minor hang ups. It never takes long to schedule an appointment, I don't ever have to wait long to be seen, overall truly a great experience with everyone here.

I later learned they go over your face twice deuring an appointment. They didn't for most of my appointments except the last one. When I asked Esther, she gave a flimsy excuse. So 90% of my treatments were incomplete. They took a "Before" photo but not an After. Why? Because Pico didn't improve my scars at all, so there wasn't enough dramatic improvement to sell this service. A year or two later, I got sucked into a second treatment series when Esther exclaimed how my skin looked "so improved!" Again a Before photo but no after one, because there wasn't any improvement. In the last year I noticed this aesthetic clinic was no longer pushing Pico. When I asked Esther about it, she couldn't look me in the eye when she said "they weren't offering that service right now" and the "Pico machine was being serviced." But for a year or thereabouts? Pico might work for tattoo removal or for rejuvenating good skin with no acne scars. But it never worked for me, and no After photos were taken because again I didn't get the desired dramatic results which would help sell this service. The fact that this aesthetic clinic is not offering Pico speaks volumes.

i have been going to kbeautylab regularly for the past 5 months and have completed several…read moredifferent txs and wanted to write about my experiences. long review ahead! kbeautylab signature facial - this is a great intro facial to do to get a feel for the place and familiarize yourself with the process. the massage is amazing, i had so much tension in my neck and shoulders and afterwards i left relaxed and calm. potenza - ive done this twice and its a long appt due to the numbing cream sitting on your face for 20-40min. before the numbing cream though you get a thorough facial, neck, and chest massage. my absolute favorite parts are some sort of electromagnetic wand along the neck and shoulders. it does not hurt at all but wow it makes me twitch hella crazy and makes me laugh lol cuz i bet i look ridiculous! the first time i did the potenza tx did not hurt at all but the second time it felt like a bad sunburn that kept being poked. i especially love how they end the appt with an ice/cold wand. it settles the skin really well, very soothing. so 2 sessions and i can def tell a difference in my acne scarring, my face is smoother, the skin scanner says my face is brighter and my collagen levels have improved. pico - i did an add on tx in february for some dark melasma/hyper pigmentation that has developed around my eyes last year. there are several spots maybe pinky finger tip size that im very self conscious about. it was rec to spot tx it. so i got 4 of them done and had to wear a silicone bandage for 10 days. i did have to replace them all by day 5 but they gave me extras which was really nice of them. i will say though i was at first disappointed because it seemed like they got even darker! when i went back a month later for my second potenza i talked to them about it and they told me its normal and it will lighten up, just give it time, trust the process. and guess what? IT DID! when i went back in may (so 3 months in between) and did another face scan, there was a noticeable difference! i think it actually got much better by april, from a dark brown to like a beige (i'm fair skinned hapa). i just had to be PATIENT, religiously wear SPF and reapply every 2 hours (use a stick which is much easier on the go), and be CONSISTENT with skincare (i added vitamin C along with azelaic acid in mornings and tret at night). it's def not a quick fix, it's a long haul and it's totally up to you to take care of it post op so i'd like to think results may vary and so far mines going well! skin stamp - apparently this tx is suppose to be the most painful but i didn't feel a thing?! i got a massage, electro wand, facial, numbing for 30min and went to town with the stamping but i felt nothing! chloe (?) was very surprised and said i must have a high pain tolerance which i dont agree with, im a baby with pain haha. another ice wand and then i left with a collagen mask that she told me to try and keep on for several hours and then moisturize before bed. i literally just got this done today so hopefully i see some good results! all in all, i really enjoy the lab and look forward to every monthly (my choice) tx. i'm very happy with my results and i have rec several friends to try it out. best part is that it's in my neighborhood ho'opili, so convenient, no need drive to town!

I come here for my facials and I heard they were doing head spa downstairs, the facials take place upstairs. I was super excited to try the head spa. They do an analysis of your scalp and hair. Similar to how they analyze your skin. They take pictures and you can see your hair follicles and your scalp. It shows you your hair growth, scalp health, and tells you how much dryness and oils you have. It was super helpful and interesting to see. I chose to do the collagen mask with my head spa experience. They put a bubbling cleanser on your face (it tingles) first and then exfoliate, next is the collagen mask it feels really nice. The experience takes about 1.5 hours. They don't have a receptionist and the check in area is tight. My head spa was interrupted when a customer came in to make a payment. So of course that was annoying and disrupted my relaxation time. I also stated after another person and I was finished before that other person so I don't feel like I got the full experience. The massage time could have been longer. The time I wasn't disrupted was good. The space is clean and relaxing. It is definitely a zen zone. Also, I think I fell asleep towards the end but was then woken up by another customer that came in. I recommend they get a receptionist or have another staff member take care of customers coming in as to not disturb the experience. I purchased the scalp foam as I was told it was good for my sensitive scalp. Will see how it works. I like that they use all natural products. All in all It was a good experience.

From IG, I was taken to Indulge's website where I was able to book my appointment with one of their LMTs, Terry. She's been with Indulge since the beginning and I think that says a lot about the company, which actually seems more like family. Terry is phenomenal and wears multiple hats; she can even do your lashes! Don't wait until the last minute to book, though, she's in high demand, especially for her lymphatic massage. Terry took the time to listen, made sure I was comfortable, had warm hands (who doesn't love that during a massage?!), and made me feel relaxed almost instantly. Love her personality and glad I booked a bundle with her and can't wait for my next appointment. The spa is clean, nicely decorated--pampas and fringe pillows sure jeuje a place up, free parking (handicap accessible stalls and ramps as well), and outside the hectic activity downtown Honolulu and Waikīkī offer. There's a snack cart with a Keurig machine, too! Sometimes grabbing a bite to eat gets put on the back burner, so having a little something to nibble on is kind and thoughtful. She then applied a serum of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. The final application was sunscreen. While the untrained eye, probably couldn't SEE a difference after the HydraFacial, I could certainly FEEL the difference. Clean, fresh, and super rejuvenated! As a follow up, I came in for the Scultural Face Lift with Buccal Massage. This included lymphatic drainage (behind your ears) and microcirculation of my shoulders, neck, and jaw area. If you want to go to a doctors office that requires you to wait 30 minutes or longer this is the…read morespot for you! If you also want to deal with an incompetent office staff it is also the place for you! I have visited many different speciality offices, and this is the only office with rude office assistants and where I have waited the longest to see nurse practitioners or a doctor. While I understand emergencies happen, this can't be the case every single time. Asking for basic things like forms being filled out or having your records transferred seems to be quite difficult for this staff. Dr. Foley comes highly recommended and he does a great job at listening and building a relationship with his patients, if you get to see him. NP Jessica and Mel are also great, but NP Mel is a lot friendlier. Problem 1: Appointments are never on time; they are anywhere from 30 minutes or longer, our last one being close to an hour after our scheduled time. This has never been the case at any other doctor's office. Normally I am notified by front staff or a nurse periodically checks in with me. Not the case at Dr. Foley's office, they make you wait in the room by yourself with no update of when you will see someone. Did they forget about me? Not sure because again, you can never get an answer out of anyone. Problem 2: I asked NP Mel for my FMLA paperwork to be signed. I requested that they be returned by the end of the week and she said that wouldn't be a problem. Come Thursday, I called the office and asked for an update regarding my paperwork. They didn't have an update and stated someone would call me back. Later that afternoon, an hour or two before they were closing I called because I didn't get a call back. When I followed up with them I was met with, "if they didn't call it's not signed". I was astonished by how rude their staff is. Friday comes along and I have no form sent to me. If they needed longer then I wish this was presented when I originally placed the request and I would have been more understanding. Problem 3: At this point, I called another OB office who said they could have the FMLA form filled out the same day. I am beyond stressed with Foley's office that I no longer felt comfortable going to their clinic. I called to request my medical records be transferred over to my new office and that they send me the copy as well. I was promptly sent the authorization form. I requested that they confirm the form was received, never received confirmation. On Saturday, I wasn't sure if they heard my request for my medical records, so I emailed again asking for them. The following week, I waited until Wednesday to call to see how long my medical records would take. Again, I felt I was met with hostility with the staff. I was told legally they have 30 days to transfer and send me my records. Cool... I have never had an office staff actually take that long. Most places I have been to always send records over within a day or two at the most. Seems like this office is being petty and stalling at sending my records. Maybe I am wrong, but the attitudes of the staff make me think otherwise. If you are willing to wait for long periods of time to see a NP or be treated poorly, then this is clearly the place for you. I get better care at military hospitals than here. Hopefully the office resolves this issue soon, I would love to have my medical records!

Just like every other girl, I needed some lashes for my birthday week and my experience with Shalia was amazing! From the moment I arrived, it honestly felt like meeting up with a friend. She was so friendly, professional, and welcoming. I was looking for a natural, but still full type of lashes and she suggested a 'Wet Set' which I wasn't really familiar with at first, but I'm so glad I went for it. Since she was also looking for a model for a Wet Set, it all just lined up perfectly. Shalia took the time to explain everything and walked me through the whole process, which I really appreciated. She was super gentle, I could barely feel anything! And for someone like me who blinks non-stop and can't keep my eyes still, she was incredibly patient. 11/10!! I got my brows waxed here yesterday, and let me tell you, they're amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by Shalia and welcomed into her super cute, peaceful, and clean shop. Before, I used to get my brows waxed at one of those generic nail salons, but this experience has completely changed my standards. Shalia made sure I was comfortable from the start. She was so sweet and chatted with me throughout the session, which made the whole experience much more personal and enjoyable than anywhere else I've been. When it came to my brows, she took her time to ensure they were perfectly even by cleaning the area and carefully measuring before applying the wax. The wax wasn't too hot, and unlike other places, it didn't hurt at all. To top it off, she sealed my brows and added gel, which left them looking flawless. I've been going to Taylin to get my lashes done since February 2023 and I will never go to anyone else! She's incredibly knowledgeable and helped me to create the lash set of my dreams which I'm still getting seven months later. Tay is really understanding when I come in with far less lashes than we both expected... And she works diligently, always making sure that it's nothing less than amazing work. The salon is super clean and tidy, and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. The other girls who work there are really sweet too! I've also gotten my eyebrows waxed by Tay. I only needed a clean up and she did the best job. I booked an armpit wax with Stephanie and she walked me through the process step-by-step and was super patient with me and all the questions I had. Came in yesterday on 3 scheduled appointments. Unfortunately, the girl called out sick that was supposed to do my eyebrow and kitty wax package but Crystal accommodated me very well! I rescheduled my kitty wax for today so that is coming up but although the girl called sick Crystal didn't hesitate. She did my lashes, asked for photos of what I was looking for as well as what length. Me personally, it was only my second time getting lashes done so I didn't know much but I put my faith and her hands and she answered my prayers, they look amazing! I also got my eyebrows done by Kui and it is absolutely stunning. She asked me step by step as well how I do my brows and what I was looking for and nevertheless she ate downnn. I had the best experience at Taesthetics for my eyebrow threading and lash lift & tint! I booked two separate appointments for each service, and both were amazing. For my eyebrows, Ilihia took such great care of me. She made sure I was happy with the shape by doing eyebrow mapping first, which really helped achieve the perfect result. I appreciated how thorough and detail-oriented she was. As a bonus, she even gave me a discount on my next service! For my second appointment, Kui did my lash lift and tint. I went in for a full lash set, not knowing what to expect. I have never done my lashes before, so was super nervous. Soon as I walked in I was greeted with a beautiful smile, by the owner herself. I felt so welcomed, and knew I walked into the right place. Crystal was my lash girl, and let me tell you, mama is amazing. Knowing that I was nervous, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed. Not knowing what to do with my lashes, I trusted Crystal to take full reigns and do what she felt would look good on me. Girl did not disappoint. Omg, so I had Shalia Rivera, a lash artist and wax specialist, do my eyelash extensions, and she was amazing! Shalia recommended styles that would match my eyes since I told her I was new to getting lashes done, and the work she did turned out absolutely beautiful. I also had my 6-month-old with me, and she went above and beyond to make sure he was comfortable the whole time. Sarah, another wonderful lady who works there, was so kind and even played with my baby I felt incredibly blessed to be surrounded by so much kindness and love. I went to Taesthetics Salon to receive a Lux Signature Facial, performed by Shar. It was the most relaxing facial I have ever gotten; from the atmosphere, to the procedures of the actual facial, to the massage, etc. She was very considerate of my skin concerns, kept me knowledgeable of what products & techniques were being used & its benefits. She even recommended me some affordable dermatology-recommended skin care products to purchase for at-home maintenance. My skin felt very cleansed & my body super relaxed, just what I needed! I had such an amazing experience with Sammy! She did my lash lift and tint and I'm absolutely in love with the results. My lashes look so much longer, darker, and perfectly lifted without needing mascara. Sammy was super professional, gentle, and made the whole appointment really relaxing. She also explained everything she was doing and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. You can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout the entire process. I had such a positive experience at Taesthetics! My esthetician was Shar and she was all around amazing, I have been to multiple salons on island in the past two years but none left me feeling this great about my brows. Shar was attentive and very thorough, I even have sensitive skin so am always quite nervous about trying new places. I had a Wet Set lash extension + a brow and tint appointment yesterday with Ku'i and she was literally the sweetest. As my first time having lash extensions, she made me feel so comfortable and was really considerate of the way I wanted my brows and lashes. It's been exactly four days since I got my eyebrows done, and I feel they're healing quite well so far. The lady who did my eyebrows was very patient and adjusted the proportions according to my face shape. The process wasn't as painful as I had imagined--I even managed to take a little nap during it. The business is across the street from Sage Creamy and there was a ton of street parking. When I got in I was immediately greeted by my technician. She informed me that my appointment was only for a tint and she asked if I wanted a lift. I thought I booked for both using their online website, but I guess I was wrong. However, she was very accommodating and told me if I wanted the lift and tint then I could come later at 145PM. I changed my appointment and I was so glad. It was very comfortable and super relaxing. She shares the room with another technician so it's possible for you to be in a room with another person. It was very easy and fast. The process was great and I was happy with my results! The price of it with tip was around $180 and I'd go back. She said it would like 5 to 6 weeks so I am hoping it'll last that long!

I recently took her course 1 day work shop and beginners course. She explains how a typical appointment would be like from the time the client walks in until they walk out the door. She went in depth about the anatomy of the skin, technique, color theory, different needles and depth, and different pressures, different ways of shading/outlining, how to take before & after and the entire process of mapping etc) Coming from someone who has no experience with a machine, never had any background in beauty, I walked out the first class feeling confident in myself that it is possible for me to do this. Before I left she had me practice on latex which I gave her a full set of eyebrows which surprised myself and sissy. Shortly after I left I practiced and practiced day in and day out & let me tell you my first sheet of latex was not that great (but as expected as someone who has no experience) I texted sissy a photo and asked for her advice and within minutes she's replies with tips for me on how to better my work. It was too saturated, you can tell my pressure in some areas was heavy & the pixels was not there. After following her tips, the next set I did was much better than before. Moral of the story for this is that there is infinite support with sissy. She wants to see every student succeed in this industry. I had a demo day we're sissy shows me exactly what goes on. I'm a visual learner, so seeing how it's done from start to finish really put things in perspective of what to expect during an appointment. 7/16/21 I had my model day and I was beyond nervous, but she calmed me down and was encouraging me that I can do this and I believed her. I felt at ease knowing she was there supervising me. I'm gonna post photos of my two models below and this will show you that will the right instructor and the amount of time you put in yourself to get better every day, this is the outcome! Sissy is a great mentor and I am so happy I went with her. She believes in you as a person and upcoming artist even when you don't. Has been by far the best experience I've had with taking a training course. She is so knowledgeable, sweet & kind and I'm so glad I was recommended by a friend from beauty school to take her training. From the first day to the last day and being in contact with her after and being so supportive and genuinely loving makes this experience one I won't forget! A quick update, I went to get my lashes removed and redone by another trustworthy lash artist. The…read moreremoval process takes about 5-10 minutes depending on the situation. Mine took about 20 plus minutes and she had to manually remove quite a few lashes because they were glued so close to my skin and there was so much glue it was almost impossible to get off! My lash tech mentioned i have damage from the previous set and there's a gap in my lashes due to that damage. While she was removing my old set of lashes, there was a cluster of 7 lashes glued to a singular fan! I honestly don't know how many lashes I lost but I am severely upset with the damage!!! I would really appreciate it if the owner of Beauty and the Brow could reach out to me regarding this situation. I paid $175 plus a $25 tip for the worst lashes I have ever had! I really hope she's not doing this to other clients!

Booking is easy via her website, though she does book quick so make sure to schedule your fills ahead of time! Her studio is tucked in a room within Heads Up Salon (next to Daiso and Chuck E.
