Awesome find while walking out Sitka! Locally owned. I really liked the ability to customize my donut. I got the powered donut with cookies and cream filling - all I can say is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s.

Highly recommend! Located in downtown just across the street from the fire station! Jeremy (owner) was so friendly and welcoming. Definitely ask for his recommendation, he said to do the everything bagel seasoning with the smoked salmon cream cheese. DO NOT miss out on how delicious this is!!! It'll make your mouth water for more!! Worth checking out! There was a tent with seating that we enjoyed these in, staying out of the rain. If you like the Hawaii malasadas these will satisfy your craving!

MOST AMAZING DONUTS IVE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH! So yummy, so fresh and warm and fluffy, and customizable to your taste. I had the passion fruit with cinnamon sugar and I'm literally going to dream of that donut until I can return and get more it was so perfectly sour and sweet and I'm here for it. I live in FL but will send everyone there! My daughter had the peanut butter and jelly and it's the only pic I took, she also said hers was amazing.

The food truck is located at the roundabout in Sitka. Parking is a little difficult so I recommend walking, which most people do here. Taste 7/10 Service 9/10 Ambiance 7/10 Price 8/10

TIKI DAVE loves Beak Restaurant!…read more After researching restaurants in Sitka, Beak, by far, seemed to be the best in town. And it was my wife's birthday, so I wanted to pick the best for a lunch in town on our cruise stop. And well, she doesn't eat seafood, so she was left to order the Vegetable Barley Soup and the Mac & Cheese so she wasn't thrilled but I've got to say, those two non-fish items were amazing. It would be nice if they offered some other non-fish items. Still, the rest of our seafood eaters loved our dishes. SON OF TIKI DAVE and I shared the Blackened Lingcod Sandwich (with tomato, spinach, horseradish aioli, served on a stadium roll with kettle chips) for $24 as well as the Halibut Roll (Cooked in Butter with Shredded Cabbage, Celery on a Hot Dog Bun and served with Kettle Chips) for $23. The boy preferred the Blackened Lingcod Sandwich and I preferred the buttery Halibut Roll. Man, that Halibut Roll was so awesome! The girl had the Smoked Salmon Plate, served with House Crostini and Cheddar Cheese for $18 and man, that salmon was amazing. We took the leftovers of this and damn it, I left it when the wife and I hit for a Moose Fart afterwards at Ernie's Old Time Saloon (great shot but $10!). Obviously, prices are a little steep...because it's Alaska and well, cruises. But Beak delivers delicious food and the ambiance in an old house is wonderful. They serve local beer as well as wine. Service is refreshingly gratuity free, which is nice. Do know that service in Alaska can vary from great to 'we'll get to you when we want'. Service at Beak was kind of in the middle but that didn't detract from our experience at all. TIKI DAVE HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDS BEAK in Sitka Alaska. Oh! And how you get here...MAKE ABSOLUTE CERTAIN you download a map of Sitka before you step off the ship, if you do come from a ship because cellular service in town really sucks. We asked a tour operator where the restaurant was because we didn't know about the terrible cell service. The location is near the foot of the bridge on the west side of town. And when in Sitka, make sure you walk east to The Sitka National Historical Park, check out the great little free museum at its entrance, and make your way to the Indian River to see the salmon and possibly bears feeding. I will be uploading a video of our experience soon! I am not a huge seafood person, so I was relieved to see they had a few non-seafood options too. We did have to wait about 30 mins outside under their "portico" to get a table. Unfortunately, the only table available was outside, and it was COLD. A few outdoor heaters would make a huge difference. I kept wondering why they didn't have any! - It is ALASKA after all... My friends all ordered the salmon chowder and said it was good, although they wished it had been hotter, especially since we were all sitting outside trying not to freeze. They also thought it could have used a little more flavor, but overall they liked it. I went with the mac and cheese, which was made with bowtie pasta. An unusual choice for mac and cheese, but it worked. It was nothing spectacular, but it was hot, cheesy and comforting, so on a chilly day, that was a big win for me. Service was fast and very friendly, which definitely helped. They also have a small but really cool gift shop, so be sure to take a look before you leave. Overall, a solid stop. I just wish they would add some heaters for those chilly outdoor tables!

Chef loves to use tarragon! We love it, but some people might think it's overpowering Only negative- I wish they didn't serve in to go boxes as it ruins the aesthetic and some items arrive soggy from the box being closed. I understand if someone orders it to go, but my wife and I usually sit and eat so we can get a sweet treat after so the to go box is unnecessary. Fish n chips portion was great! Chips were great but a little soggy from the previously mentioned box. Fish was great. Clam chowder was delicious. Chef put truffle oil on top which compliments it wonderfully. Crab roll smelled EXTREMELY fishy but tasted fantastic. Salmon bowl was great. We enjoyed the soft boiled egg that it pared with but kind of wish it was like a quick pickled egg or soy sauce egg or something. Otherwise- great dish.

I have to say this was one of the best I have tasted in a long time and is top if not best one I have had period. The quality is top notch. I can tell when seafood is old or cheap and the quality of this was TOP QUALITY ! I also got to try the clam chowder and it was delicious. I have tried many different clam chowders in a variety of states and I have to say this was excellent. Fresh and full of birth flavor, clams and potatoes. With a little drizzle of White Truffle oil. Hands down one of the best meals I have had in a long time. The owners Scott and Kyle were amazing to talk to and you can tell the pride they take by the favors and the fresh high quality seafood. Definitely enjoyed meeting these folks and learning about where they get the seafood from. For the quality one of the best priced on Maui. The ambiance is great at this food truck pod. You can tell that a lot of time and thought went into the setup and it really shows. My new favorite spot on the island and highly recommend stoping by and having some great food. I know I will definetly be going back to sample the fish and chips and maybe get myself another lobster roll.
