Mini plate chicken teriyaki, i did not take a bite before this pic was taken.

Dry, horrible Musubi, horrible chicken teriyaki, a mini plate looks like this.. no extra teriyaki sauce , very bland minute rice, very low quality grindz

The quality of food gets a 5/5 stars as well as value. This place gives plates with rice and mac for $8. I like to order the dang hot chicken, level medium. The sauce is very good and thick. One time I ordered the spicy and the flavor was not quite right and the sauce was nearly black! Made a note to myself to stick with medium from then on. The Mac salad is very simple, just the Mac and pepper. No extra veggies. A side order is $2.50 and it comes with a lot. The environment is 4/5 so I prefer taking it to-go. There is ample seating and the place is not usually busy. Parking is super easy.

Loco moco. Was so hungry I had to choke down the burger patty. Very well done egg.

Disgusting. Got the kalua pork and it was 45% rice, 50% cabbage and 5% meat. Loco moco was awful. Eggs were hard and very well done with blobs of gravy just kinda dropped in places. Burger patties were definitely store bought generic frozen patties. We were so excited about the mac salad but that was even worse. We both took one bite and couldn't eat anymore of it

Food, food and more food. You are not leaving the Hawaiian Grill with an empty stomach. Not gonna happen here. Previous reviews have informed you of this, I'm just reinforcing it. For the most part, Hillsboro is another world to me. Until today, I'd never been out this far on the train. And once you stray from Main street, things are a bit dicey but I was just doing a little urban hiking in unfamiliar territory. Hawaiian Grill doesn't appear to be much from the outside but the food inside is pretty good even if the rap and Green Day posters don't make much sense. The menu is extensive and has the usual Hawaiian standards like Katsu, loco moco and spam musubi. Plenty of chicken, pork, beef and even tofu dishes. I went traditional with kalua pig and cabbage. Kalua pig is not really spiced at all. The slow roasted pork is the star. This was extremely tender and the cabbage was more of a texture than anything else. It was a over a bed of rice and with the sauce they gave me sewed it all up and I had a very enjoyable meal. I have no idea when I'll make it back out here, but to the Hillsboro crowd the Hawaiian Grill is a great substitute for L & L since I'm not sure one is out this far. The food came out super fast. Granted, it wasn't that busy since it was after the lunch rush. The prices were also pretty decent. Enjoy.

Sloppy serving, had a lot of liquid at the bottom of the plate. Taste was off. Would not recommend.

Food is delicious. Love to get takeout from here. Ambience isn't awesome, but the goodness of the food overrides the setting.

Perfect local Hawaiian food and people. Large portions and good service. Taking good COVID precautions and the food is at a great price.

Nearly everything was perfect! Food is 5 star…read more Service is 5 star. Ambience is 5 star. The only issue we had is the sake flight sampler my husband ordered had to be substituted and instead of the $15 glass option they substituted a $12 glass option (nothing was mentioned in advance) and the okonomiyaki they are promoting is not available (bummer we were really hoping to have that). All that is to say, first world "problems" and nothing was really a problem per se. We also had 5 pc gyoza appetizer and requested steamed instead of fried which they were happy to accommodate. Had some 5 pc shrimp tempura appetizer too. This 1/2 Japanese woman raised in America says -- eat here, it is authentic! Oishii!!!!

service / food / ambience : 5/5…read more Starting off with any apology as I have come here so many times and keep forgetting to rate it! My partner & I's fav sushi spot around! We start off with hot green teas & it's so authentic + rich in flavor. It comes in a nice tea pot and remains hot throughout our meal. We move on to get their gyoza & cucumber salad. Their gyoza is always crispy. The cucumber salad is simple but always delicious. We move onto our rolls - he likes the orange snow and I prefer the dragon rolls. They are portioned well. The flavors within the rolls complement each other well and I love the drizzle of unagi sauce. Our most recent visit, we ordered the poke salad. The Tuna was fresh and tasted great. We weren't huge fans of the seaweed salad. We've tried other rolls and have not been disappointed with any. Our family members also enjoy this place when we visit. The service is always quick and we are usually in and out within an hour. Definitely recommend this spot.
