This place is incredibly hard to rate. The main two things it has going for it is location and price. The view from the room was excellent, but the grounds, rooms, and even the parking lot need some TLC. For the room itself, the furniture seemed to be from an old estate sale, though the bed was comfortable enough. And you didn't want to take your socks off considering the state of the floors. And then of course with the bathroom, the tub had a slow drain and I couldn't tell if there was a small leak or if there was just some leftover water from the previous occupant's shower, but the floor was still damp when I got there. From other reviews, I think the room condition is luck of the draw, it does seem like some have been touched up in the last 20 years. If you are used to staying in 1-2 star hotels, it's fine. But if you are used to nicer places, this is not the place for you read more

Well for starters we were under the impression there was a full size refrigerator in the room. The refrigerator was at best cool not cold. They said they were coming to fix the issue nobody ever showed even after the second complaint . One of the queen size beds had a lump in the middle the other when two people laid down they rolled completely to the center of the mattress . The chairs on the balcony were partially broken . No coffee in the room , no bar soaps no shampoo no extra toilet paper. You had to ask and their answer was oh they must have forgot. The only thing that really impressed us was the pool . The stuff that was advertised on the site was even non-existent or closed. in very much disrepair . Needs updating something seriously . In my opinion there was a little bit of false advertisement . The rooms they showed were really nice rooms . The one person told us that the way to get good rooms is through private owners which we didn't know anything about . I went for the flood and was told it was quiet and nice, next week outside my door people were fighting! Me and my family were scared because, we went to bed an hour earlier and they woke us up and we were hesatating to call the police. Tomorrow turns out they were arested and they promised a nice stay. I forgot what room i was in 3 somthing there was mold on the pillows and cocaroaches on the floor when we went to bed and when we walked in the room, we booked another room cause we had more time to stay. Then i went to play at the arcade and my card droped in the hole of the game it hade 30 CREDITS. i went in my room low and behold a big room but door barely closed and more mold and roaches than the last one. I have to agree with other reviews. This hotel is incredibly hard to rate. In comparison to other hotels in the area the price is fantastic. The view is also amazing. Waking up and being able to watch the sun rise over the ocean was quite the experience. But on some other things I felt very misled. Upon booking the pictures showed a very clean and updated room. Once we made our way to our room we were very surprised. The furniture and decor was very mismatched and has definitely seen some better days. Both our bed frames were very loose and the beds felt unstable, but they were comfortable enough for sleeping. Parts of the room were clean, but others were not. For example I was very surprised to find clean towels and clean bed linens, where other parts of the room seemed to be left completely forgotten. Our room had the kitchenette. The inside of the refrigerator was absolutely spotless. But the outside and top was pretty dirty. Same thing with the other small appliances that were included. Lastly we did find a bug in our room. I'm not exactly sure what kind it was, but with the state of everything else in the room I wasn't totally surprised. Would I stay here again if I had other options? Probably not. But if you need an affordable hotel in the area for the night it's definitely doable. read more

Really cute place! I did not stay here, I just gave myself a tour, in case I ever needed a place to stay. I went during Bike Week. There was a Security Guard outside The grounds were well maintained. The inside was very clean as well as the pool area. I thought the Gift Shop was cute. The pool was a nice size. The steps going down to the beach were new. You need a security code to exit/enter. The beach area was clean and nice also. I didn't see the rooms, but, the balconies looked well maintained. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this might not be your place. I booked a room at the Hawaiian Inn, February 8-10 I booked it through Booking.com. I got there an hour early and I was able to check in at that time. I was grateful I go up to the room which was room 328 as I went in. I started to inspect the room and it was disgusting mold mildew it was awful. as I looked at everything I figured I can pull through this till Monday went into the bathroom and it was even worse now my other friends that I was meeting were in room 332 their room smelled musty. They had to keep the balcony door open at all times to air the place out they got charged twice on their credit card now the next day I checked out at 2 o'clock I was told I couldn't get a refund for the remaining day because it was after 11 o'clock. DONT BOOK HERE!! WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER. Payed 800$ for two nights just for it to feel like a rundown 40$ a night motel. When i originally booked I booked for an ocean view room and made sure to choose a hotel that served breakfast just to arrive and have NO BREAKFAST and a view of the pool and a concrete wall. There were three rusty locks on the door of which only ONE worked, as a woman traveling not ideal. There were dirty used dishes in the drawers and bugs EVERYWHERE. Roaches, flies and moths landing on us and flying into our face while we sleep. DIRTYYY floors that turned our feet black after 5 minutes and a tub with no plug just a rusty hole. The hot tub that was promised on the booking site was filled in with dirt and unusable. The television has a CHILDLOCK on it so we couldn't log into or download any streaming services or go into guest mode to do it. When I called And asked what the pin was they said they "didn't know". The elevator is a run down safety hazard and one of the only three that is OPERABLE. The door shakes and comes off rail while moving and the elevator bounces. But I was on the fifth floor so it was my only option. When I went down to complain about the bugs, view, lack of breakfast and all other things and they said there was nothing that could be done. I'm down here for my 21st birthday and Rockville and this was downright disappointing and frustrating. When I booked all bad reviews were either hidden or deleted so be CAREFUL. read more

The pool area is massive and we had a wonderful day drinking and hanging out poolside. There is a tiki bar if you need a bite or drink. There is access to the beach. We had really wanted to go to the luau but we waited too long to get tickets and they were sold out. Our view was beach view and very very nice. Large parking lot. All older hotels on the beach have some quirks, I have been coming to Datona for 40 years. The Hawaiian has more than a a few quirks, deferred maintenance, cleanliness and management was an issue for me. The final straw was there was an overwhelming weed smell coming in from the air system from the unit next to mine. When I complained the front desk said there was nothing they could do for me. We disputed the final two nights on CC and found a new hotel for the final two nights. I should have to consent to getting a contact high. read more

I had a gorgeous ocean view room overlooking the pool. The beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly at the front desk, tiki bar and gift shop. This is an old hotel that isn't fancy but has everything you need with a stunning view of the ocean and pool. Very relaxing to sit outside on the balcony. They also offer free outdoor, putt putt golf, hopscotch an indoor and outdoor pool. They have live Polynesian dinner shows. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! read more

This hotel has made some major corrections after a long recovery from Hurricanes Ian and Nicole in October(ish) 2022. As of this date, their seawall has been rebuilt, the stairs to the beach are in tact, the gift shop is open (2 weeks now), the Olympic-sized unheated pool is back to gorgeous (but freezing--only little kids were brave enuf to be in it yet). The elevators work, the arcade is working. There is still a ton of fixes needed. The front doors are not properly set and hard to open, the breakfast cafe is still closed, the tiki hut is barely operational (was closed most of my 3 days and with poor service when it was open), the mini-golf & shuffleboard are never more (just grassy yard now), the luau & fire show moved elsewhere. The hot covered pool is not fixed. There are tacky legal "threat" signs everywhere indicating a dispute with owners bypassing the front desk registration process by inviting their own renters or guests to use their rooms. The front desk operators seemed distracted or not responsive (eg on phone with private calls a lot, sign saying "be right back" when they're actually in the back room.) It seems the inmates are running the asylum. That being said if you are a tolerant person with low expectations, the price for a room with a view and the sound of the ocean is great. The room was clean, the towels were ample, there's kitchenette amenities, a comfy couch in the room, and a great balcony. Unfortunately, it's April and there is no heat so it was 57 outside and inside for 2 nights, sleeping uncomfortably. The bed sloped unmercifully. There are no TV guides or instructions on how to work the TV, I didn't see anyone getting food from the tiki hut--possibly due to the poor service just to get a drink. The room smells dank, better when kept ice cold--and that's common in 50 year old hotels. My fridge was broken, my key cards chronically did not work, there were only 2 TV channels if you didn't like sports. Lower class people mostly rent here so you have loud parties into the wee hours, door slamming and unsupervised rude children abound. I found this place on air bnb and was happy with the reviews of the "cottage." I've been coming to Daytona since I was a baby but when coming back as an adult, I've found better air bnb deals vs. booking a hotel. The review didn't say the name of the hotel or I would have looked on Yelp and decided against it. Upon pulling in, we immediately realize parking is going to be rough. The spots are SMALL and there's a lack of spots for how many rooms are here. Once we enter inside, my first thought was YUCK. It's really dark and run down. Immediate disappointment. There's a crummy arcade, shady ATM, hand written signs about some weird $30 VIP passes, random mattresses laid against the wall, etc. The front desk staff is also less than friendly. In my entire stay, I never saw one staff member smile. There's also a gift shop but it's rarely open. The room itself wasn't *terrible*. It was advertised to have a kitchen but there was no kitchen, just a mini fridge that you'd find in a dorm. The bed was NOT comfortable, neither were the paper thin pillows, and there was mold on the shower curtain. The bedroom area was clean and the bathroom was recently remodeled. Getting the front door to lock was difficult and the sliding door to the balcony didn't lock at all, so I never felt 100% safe. The best part was the view on the balcony over the water. I won't stay on a beach without a view from my room. The heated pool is a great idea and it seemed clean. However, there's signage about a max of 9 people in that pool, which seems odd because 20-30 people could easily fit. There were young kids in there the night we got in. They started to pour in and there were well over 20 at one point. They were drinking in the pool, yelling, cursing, really getting wild (and loud with their own large speaker). I'm all for kids having their hay-day but come on, bring it down a notch. A staff member came down and asked them to quiet down but that was it. This didn't work and that was their only warning. Don't have "rules" you don't enforce. The pool was kept clean and there was a DJ playing techno music. There's a bar area with a bartender sometimes. I didn't love that there was SO much smoking, especially around the pool. The pool area is a total indicator that this is a party place, definitely NOT family friendly. The hallways are dark/grim and parts of this place are clearly falling apart. The elevator is shady, shakes, and sometimes the lights don't work. The walls here are very, very thin, to the point you can hear conversations next door. Unless the Hawaiian Inn gets a TOTAL makeover, save yourself the headache and stay literally anywhere else. read more

I was driving down to Delray Beach Florida spent the day at a lighthouse nearby and it was getting too late to drive an extra three hours plus to Delray so I decided to check into the Hawaiian Inn. I inquired with the nice lady at the front desk if they had any oceanfront rooms available. She said yes and informed me it would be $94 plus tax. I saw they also had a Polynesian show that night. I was very impressed by the beautiful large pool and tiki bar. I took the elevator up to The fourth floor. The hallway was A little bit spooky. I got to my room number for 439. This was a deluxe room with a full kitchen stove refrigerator and sink. There was a nice couch and a flat screen television. The bedroom area was quite nice as well with a nice large queen bed very comfortable and clean. It looks like the bathroom was just recently redone. The furniture was a little bit dated . View from one of the two terraces was stunning of the ocean. The Polynesian sure was a lot of fun which also included a buffet dinner. The pool was big and just the right temperature to swimming. I enjoy getting a few drinks from the tiki bar and getting a cheeseburger and french fries. This resort is absolutely huge. They don't make them like this anymore. I definitely would've stayed over a second night if I didn't have to get down to Delray Beach the next day. Down in Pompano Beach Fort Lauderdale and Miami they have torn down these very nice old resorts with character. I would definitely visit here again read more

Unit Owner needs to step it up! We were in room 506. Resort was fine, unit was adequate. We enjoyed the pool area and the tiki bar. Prices at the tiki bar were reasonable. Was a long walk to get to an ice machine as they were all on the opposite side of the long building. Would be great if management could spread them out. Our unit was supposed to have a full size fridge except we learned the day we checked in that it broke and they added a small hotel fridge. A little disappointing but remarkably, the big fridge started working again on our 2nd day, so we were happy. What was really disappointing is that they unit owners did not provide what they should have in the kitchen. We reserved a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen because we were planning to cook and eat in a lot. It did have 1 pot, 1 pan and some silverware/serving utensils. It would have been nice if the unit owner provided coffee filters for our coffee maker. A plate to eat from would have been nice too. or maybe some glasses...coffee cups etc. Nothing was provided to eat out of except for 2 or 3 small cereal bowls. We had to go shopping (for plates, glasses, coffee cups, filters, paper towels etc.) on our first day just so we could eat. We should not have had to do this. Unit owner failed there. We did let the front desk know this and they did give us a few paper plates, but hopefully, the unit owners have stocked the unit better for the next guests. DO NOT STAY HERE.....unless you're renting a condo from an owner. I've never stayed in a more disgusting hotel. There was trash under our bed still. It was absolutely run down and filthy. Our roomed looked like it was ready for Tony Montana to shove his face into a pile of regret. The smell in the room was overwhelming as well. I couldn't sleep there because I felt itchy and gross just sitting on the BROKEN black leather couch so we went down the road and got a different room. We did come back to enjoy the pool, and tiki bar the next day. The food there is absolutely delicious and the drinks were perfect. The staff working the tiki bar was also wonderful. I also highly recommend the gift shop. I get the feeling that the man working the front counter (Maurice) was purposefully pitting the customers against each other at the front desk and making people beg for rooms that were readily available. Unless you get it for well under $100, hotel goers beware!! (get ready for a long one) We were in town for a family member's memorial service, so it was already an emotional weekend. When booking the reservation we were promised excellent service, but it was far from it! When we called a couple days prior to verify our reservation, we were told that if we didn't arrive at 4 when check in started, that we risked losing our room. So we made sure to get there at 4, and upon walking in the front doors we were greeted with a long line of people waiting for check in. 30 minutes later it's our turn. We were told our room wasn't ready. Okayyyy... Hour later, finally our room was ready!! When we got up there we had no towels, no linens for our pullout couch, and neither TV worked. The room was only half cleaned, with sand all over the floor. Called the front desk, was told that someone would be up shortly. For the next two to two and a half hours, we sat up in our room waiting. It was raining out, so what else were we to do? (TV would have been nice) Went down to the desk, spoke to a manager, was told that they were recovering from spring breakers. Somewhat understandable, sure, but if you can't handle it maybe hire more help? Finally someone came up, couldn't fix the tv so someone else had to come. Like 10 minutes later another came and fixed it. Later on after dinner, time to take a shower. My mother took one first, discovered that it wasn't working properly. Half the water came from the shower head, other half came from the faucet. Called maintenance again. First gentleman from before came, fixed it well enough that we said "forget it its fine". Upon getting down into the tub he broke the soap dish off (evidently someone caulked it that morning and it hadn't dried). Next morning, spoke to manager again. Asked for towels, my aunt was told she could have a washcloth. Wonderful. The gentleman who I guess is in charge of maintenance came up and completely fixed the tub. That day we were also told by a member of staff that it wasn't a good idea to go swimming in their heated pool. And we of course had the first day. Lovely. THANKFULLY the rest of the weekend went fine for us. I know this was a long one, so TLDR: issue after issue, with the excuse always being "its the spring breakers". If you can't get this for under 100$, see if you can get somewhere else first. The hotel has the potential to be really, really nice. That's what is such a shame. read more

Where do I begin with this place from rude staff to the nastiest rooms I ever been inside I came there after a 18 hour drive from Chicago to check into a room that the paint was chipping smelled like backed up sewer the toilet wouldn't even flush the carpet was extremely dirty stains all over the place even on the walls and beds I walked in and walked right out I even have pictures I will attach for proof. I friggin' love this place. Okay, if you're bougie and looking for 4-star accomodations that pamper to your every whim, then the Hawaiian is not for you. Then again, if that's what you are looking for, why the hell would you go to Daytona? Boca Grande or Coral Gables might be more your speed. Anyhoo, the girlfriend and I were in the midst of an extended Daytona stay, trying to figure out if we should buy a house in Port Orange or not. (Note: We didn't. Moved to Colorado Springs instead-- terrible decision.) We needed a short term living situation after spending way too much staying night after night at the Holiday Inn (also an awesome hotel in its own way, but that's neither here nor there). After checking out a couple of sketch-ass trailer parks and getting scammed on a short-term rental by an unscroupulous property agent, my amazing girlfriend found us a sweetheart deal on VRBO at the Hawaiian, something like $70 a night for a first-floor unit. Let's do this. What can I say but: Best. Decision. Ever. We had a blast staying at the Hawaiian. Let me tell you how you can do the same... First of all, you have to stay on the ground floor. Not only is it easier to get your luggage in and out, but all you have to do is walk out your back sliding glass door to experience paradise Daytona style. For starters, there's a damn Tiki bar outside, literally fifty feet away. Super friendly bartender, too. I wound up crushing beers with him one night after the bar was closed, but I'll get to that later. But yeah, getting a room on the ground floor is essential. You can also walk to the beach in your bare feet. This is obviously quite essential. I mean why are you gonna visit Daytona and not want to go to the beach as often as possible? But let me tell you about the pool. Well, actually there's two pools there, but the real heads know what's up. The one you want to check out is the pool in the enclosed room. Sidebar: Okay, so are you like me, in that you absolutely hate paying top dollar to stay at a nice hotel, only to jump in the pool and find it nipple-protrudingly cold? These so-called executive suites, such as your Radissons and your Wyndhams, always seem to be cutting costs by not heating their pools to a comfortable temperature. This is not the case at the Hawaiian-- that indoor pool is the *perfect* temperature; so good, you'll swear you're back in the womb. We would spend hours in there, just floating around and looking at all the groovy 1960s accoutrement decorating the walls. Of course the normies will try to tell you that the Hawaiian is "outdated", but as somebody who actually enjoys the more artistic and creative aesthetic of bygone eras over the uniform, functional design choices we're stuck with now, I absolutely love the way this place refuses to conform with the times. May it never change. Anyhow, the next step is to become friendly with your neighbors. Don't worry: this is the Hawaiian, so they won't be fun-hating yuppie scum. Our neighbor, whom we affectionately called "Daytona John", was a legitimately good dude, and he selflessly invited us over to his back porch to kill some beers with him. This is also how we wound up meeting the bartender, who was just chilling there. That's literally all any guest at the Hawaiian wants to do, just chill. Nobody's going to be up your ass because you're being a little too loud at 3 o'clock in the morning. And how can anybody be too uptight when they're sitting in the middle of paradise, staring up at the most amazing night sky with the soothing sounds of the ocean in the background? The room itself is perfectly fine. Ours had a queen-sized bed, a decent kitchen (won't find that at the Radisson), cable TV, and your typical camp, "beachy" decor. The vending machine, no more than 50 feet down the hall, was stocked with goodies, and, wait for it, they had a damn laundry facility! I am not shitting you. You could walk in with a beer in your hand, throw your laundry in, and then go to the beach for an hour while you were waiting for your clothes. If that's not paradise, I don't know what is. Look, I know the stories about dead prostitutes and serial killers and whatnot. And that might have fazed me if I came from some small town in western Kentucky, and not Oakland California, where criminal behavior is something we accept as part of the deal and don't really let bother us all that much. To summarize, I'll put it to you like this. If you're somebody who wears khaki pants on the reg, and you're just in town for a convention, and you think you're a little to good to stay at a place like this-- then by all means don't. But if you're the type of person who sees Daytona as the home of the Allman Brothers and Skynyrd, and you're actually there to have a good time, then I would whole-heartedly recommend the Hawaiian. Just remember to clean up after yourself and don't leave any spent beer cans or cigarette butts in their beautiful back yard, and you'll be good to go. read more

Just... no. We stayed in room 128 and this place is really, really bad. Forced to be here for one night because by the time we arrived and realized what a nightmare it is, it was just too late to go anywhere else. Thank god we didn't have kids with us because the walls were literally crumbling with plaster on the rug below (no, it's not sand, it was that the walls are literally crumbing). See pics and beware room 128. There is no cell phone service because our room was below ground, and had to be accessed via a very long concrete tunnel. In case you've never stayed in a cement bunker, they're fairly cool albeit humid. However you hear every echo of slamming doors, screaming kids (and I mean screaming in glee, because they're excited to be running through a cement tunnel), and my personal fav, parents screaming "no screaming!" at their kids. Ah, parenthood. Our room did have a window, but it didn't look outside (what being in a concrete bunker and all). This window that looked into the hallway. A window that fully rises, so yes make sure it's locked when you arrive. I had to sign a waiver at the front desk and initial a box that said linens would be accounted for and that we would be charged for any blood on the linens. I can see how they might have a problem with bloody homicide and suicide here, but maybe having your guests sign a waiver saying they will be charged for doing so is not something they should lead with upon check in. I can't help but wonder, has this waiver ever prevented any horrific act from occurring? I mean, I don't know how much they charge per towel but it seems like a pretty lame threat. Speaking of towels, you may be thinking to yourself, "damn, they must have some pretty fine linens!". Linens so fine, they make you completely forget about the concrete bunker, screams in the hallway, and murderous intent. Well, spoiler alert, they don't. We had two towels, smaller than typical bath size. No wash cloths, no hand towels, just two very tired looking bath towels. They were thin, and washed so many times they were far from white. But to give the Hawaiian Inn all the credit, they were completely blood stain free. Which given the condition of the rest of the room, was pretty impressive. The shower/bathtub combo had mildew in the grouting. Finally, there was no USB plugs integrated into the room to charge any electronic devices. It's not a big deal, it just underscores how outdated this place is. Be sure to bring your wall chargers. So.... yeah, there ya go. Let's start with the good... they have a beautiful pool and large pool deck. The staff we encountered were polite, although there didn't seem to be many staff present. We also enjoyed shopping in the gift shop on site. Now for the bad... our room was definitely under expectation. I am not very picky when it comes to rooms as long as they're clean, secure and we're getting what we paid for. We had a reservation for 2 adults and 2 teenagers girls for 4 days. The room we reserved was not the room we got once arrived. The couch was horrid, broken/saggy and the cushions were torn with stuffing hanging out. The was plywood under the cushions, but still didn't make it level. It was very difficult to sleep on that couch. The lock on our door was broken and wouldn't lock from the outside. We notified the hotel and they sent someone to "fix" it. The guy fidgeted with it for awhile and got it to lock a few times. Once he left, it continue to not lock. It took us nearly 10 minutes of playing with the door handle for it to lock each time we left our room. The room didn't appear to have been cleaned prior to us checking in. There were hair clumps on the floor throughout the room and a sticky/grimy substance on the tile floor in multiple places, along with what appeared to be food crumbs. We didn't see housekeeping staff our whole stay. We had a reservation for 4, but only had towels for 3 people. There was one bar of soap and one hotel sized shampoo/condition combo. Not nearly enough for 4 people. I didn't like the fact that lights were plugged into extension cords. The elevators were down right scary and the hand rails were falling off. From the photos we saw online, we expected a better quality room than what we received. I do not plan to stay here again. read more

Absolutely disgusting. The whole place smells like cigarettes and Marijuana, the staff at the front desk does not answer the phone. Every hallway looks like it was pieced together in the projects, the "arcade" area where children play smelled so badly like cigarettes and weed that I may have left with a nicotine addiction, I was told by a person at the desk that the hotel has "exercise equipment" which was nowhere to be found, The elevator near my room had a 3 person limit and looked straight out of a horror movie, and the "indoor pool" is quite literally outdoors. Now for my actual room, The cigarette and weed smell was so strong it could beat Apollo Creed, the carpet was ripped up, the microwave looked like it had cancer, the air conditioning BARLEY worked, and you could see outside through the unit, it claims to sleep 4 adults but barley sleeps 2, the TV remote does not work is for a completely different brand of TV, the roof was very poorly and visibly patched, along with the red suspicious splattered stain on the popcorn ceiling, the refrigerator, being the nicest part of the room, looked like it was run over by a Tahoe, there was a giant panel in the wall that was falling off, the smoke alarm looked like it needed Rehab, the mirror in the sleeping area was half covered by the fridge, the mirror in the bathroom was falling apart at the bottom, the medicine cabinet was water damaged and rotting away, the sink handles were on backwards, and there was a giant white panel screwed into the ceiling in the shower. All of this wouldn't have been so bad of at the end of our stay, we didn't see 2 ROACHES in the room, one on the shower curtain, and another on the wall leaving the bathroom. If You're a fan of Weed smell and cockroaches, this hotel would be perfect for you. If I could give less than a 1 star I definitely would. read more

Do not stay here. Rooms are disgusting. There is paint peeling off the wall. There's dead bugs all over the floor and on the bed. Hair in the shower. The air conditioner in the room is just a little 2-ft box that you plug in and you cannot control. There is rust leaking down the wall. Management was very rude and got upset that we expected a clean room. Worst hotel I've ever been in. I left with in an hour of getting there. I asked the maintenance man if it was acceptable to expect a clean room and he told me to my face that he does not worry about things like bugs on the floor and paint peeling from the walls. I asked the girl up front if it was at least reasonable for me to want a clean room and she said that she refuses to answer that question. I had to come back to this review and edit it just to add the final cherry on Top. Because I rated this hotel one star somebody named Heather responded saying that they are so sorry and that I should reach out to them at Hawaiininnevents@gmail.com. I did reach out to them at that email address and Google responded saying that it was not a valid email address. I added a photo of the response I got from Google when I tried to reach out to the email address provided to me by Heather. The entire thing is a scam. It's bait and switch by design. Once they have your money they do not care. They put people in dirty rooms that are not ever cleaned knowing that sensible people will not stay there and they refuse or any kind of refund. read more

Pros: Awesome view, clean room, right on beach, nice spacious pool, great price!! It was spring break so pool was packed but it was entertaining and the dj was great!!! Cons: dated, dated, dated. Upon walking in it seems a little ghetto with hand written signs and chunks of wall peeling, patched. The restaurant and bar are privately owned and trust me if you don't know the rules yet you'll quickly learn. Don't bring any cups tervis, yeti, etc you'll be asked to throw it out around pool area. I'm going to preface this review with an acknowledgment that the hotel is older and there are definitely instances where this is very apparent. But, all in all, this hotel really isn't that bad for the price. The hotel sits right on the ocean, so you have great beach access steps from your room. There is a very nice outdoor pool that is unheated, so during the day when the temps get up into the high 80's to mid 90's, it's perfect to jump in and cool off. There is also a smaller pool outside (which may or may not be a hot tub, I never got in it so I can't be sure). There is also a smaller heated pool that is technically outside of the hotel, but it is covered, so that's a nice option if you have a day or two of not so great weather. The pool area also has a Tiki Bar and Grill, which is a perfect touch for us adults who prefer to soak up the sun all day with a cold beer close by. There are a lot of lounge chairs and tables around the pool area, but if you're there during a busy time (I was there during a Spring Break week) they go fast. There were multiple days where there wasn't a single chair to be had, which wasn't a huge deal, but it was a little annoying. We nabbed a couple of chairs by setting our alarm for 7am and laying our towels out on some chairs before going back to bed. That seems to be the common practice if you want to get your hands on a pool chair. I'm assuming some of the rooms are privately owned, so I'm sure the quality of each varies on the owner. Ours really wasn't that bad. Again, it was obviously old and could have used some updating, but it wasn't disgusting and I didn't have a problem getting comfortable. We had a two-bed oceanfront room that was not overlooking the pool - we were on the south end of the building. There was a full refrigerator and freezer unit in the kitchen (which was awesome since we stayed for a week and bought a lot of our own groceries to avoid spending a fortune eating out every day). There was also a stovetop/oven unit, microwave, and double sink. The cupboards were stocked with plates, bowls, silverware and cups. The bathroom was alright, could have used some updating, but nothing horrendous. The only real complaint I have is the water in the shower - it would go from HOT to mild to ICE COLD to HOT within a two minute span. It was annoying, but nothing that ruined the stay. The TV was on the small side, but we were there to lay on the beach, so it didn't bother us. Another problem some people might run into is their Wi-Fi service. It didn't bother me since I was on vacation and I didn't NEED access to the internet, but my sister had to do some work while we were there and she had a lot of trouble getting a consistent, reliable connection. All of us had trouble connecting our devices to their Wi-Fi, but she really needed the service so it was extremely frustrating for her. If you need to have a reliable connection during your stay, I would recommend finding an alternative Wi-Fi source to avoid the stress (I discovered the IHOP down the street has free Wi-Fi that worked quite well on my phone...). All in all, this wasn't an awful place to stay. You get what you pay for and this obviously isn't the Hilton, so you need to understand that going in. The staff was quite friendly, the room was in okay condition, the pools and amenities were very nice, and the beach location was perfect. I would absolutely stay here again, and would more than likely recommend it to friends that were looking for a reasonable place to stay on the beach. read more

I don't know why this hotel has some of the bad reviews. We had a wonderful stay while we were there from 7/6-7/10. The staff was very accommodating to us, even helping us change rooms to make our stay more comfortable. We dealt with Shemiel and Aldan (unsure on spelling of their names) as well as the manager Marissa. All of them were very friendly and helpful. Our check in was late due to a delay in my flight, and they were very understanding of this. My son misplaced his wallet and they were excellent in helping to find it. The price was reasonable, the room was large and clean. The pool was clean and easily accessible. They were good about removing unruly people in the area as well. My only con would be that housekeeping was a little wishy-washy. Very friendly staff but we had to keep asking for towels. If they came by to clean and my kids were still sleeping they would tell us they would come back to clean, and did not. I noticed a lot of the reviews are from 2017 - please note they have remodeled/updated since then and are still working on that. They had some damage from Hurricane Matthew and Irma but overall the place was clean and nice. I would stay again. read more

I give this hotel/motel 1 star based on service.. I knew when we decided to go with hawainn inn it wouldnt be the nicest... But what put a sour taste in my mouth, was how the staff treated the guests... FYI you are not aloud to play with any kind of beach balls in the pool...the maintenance man came up to me and very rudely said it was a safety hazard... He also told me my son was not aloud to stand on my shoulders while in the pool..i was able to take one picture before the encounter..the rooms are o.k. just out of date and run down..the bartender at the tiki hut was the best part...he was funny and very customer service oriented! Before you book ask to take a tour of the room your staying in! And hopefully you wont encounter some of the staff members i did. read more

If I could give ZERO STARS I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. We had 2 rooms. Both of them were so disgusting with mold covering every inch of both showers. Floors and carpet were so dirty I didn't want my feet touching them. I was cringing every moment I was touching something in the room. We were supposed to stay two nights and we just ended up going home and losing out on the money. The straw that broke the camels back was the people in THEIR parking lot doing HEROIN and tried to grab my daughter out of my arms. When I notified the front desk they said "Oh." Then never got my deposit back it was over a month I called multiple times, they kept "forgetting." HORRIBLE PLACE. And the pool area looks ok online but it's not all that and is kinda dirty too. read more

Ok so this place is a bit...dirty. There were these little bugs by the kitchen sink that never went away. They aren't the size of ants and they aren't bed bugs so I'm not sure what they are. The bathroom had a black hair in the shower before any one of us used it and I have blue hair so... there's that. The room key always had a problem every other day (we stayed for a week). The thing that sucked the most was my husband and I would take our own keys because we have a baby so if I went to the room with the baby, and the key didn't work, I'd have to go to the front desk to get a new key and his key would be automatically deactivated. This became an issue because I'd go upstairs to nap with the baby or try to put him to sleep and my husband would have to knock on the door so I'd go open it and sometimes I'd be napping as well so it was just a huge inconvenience. We stayed there 7 days and I think this happened like 4 days. The pool is nice but it seems like people leave their towels out overnight to claim their chairs. I'd get up at 6 am and take the baby to the balcony to watch the sunrise and see towels out there. The view was nice so that's why I give it 2 stars. Oh and housekeeping it kinda weird. They don't come in unless you open the door for them? Other places I stay they always come in and leave towels or something but this place didn't. So on our 3rd day I asked the front desk if they could just leave a note for housekeeping that they are welcome to just leave towels because we needed them and she said "yeah sure you can leave a note" and I was like.... "I meant in your system?" And she said their system doesn't work like that so eh. Then when I called requesting towels per the hours she gave me... they never showed. Luckily housekeeping finally knocked when my husband and I were both in the room so I could answer the door and he could care for the baby. It's just all this little weird inconvenience bs that added up. The view was perfect but not worth the money nor the bs service. read more
