A friend had been confined to the hospital a few months and he SUDDENLY decided it was best for his belongings to be moved into a storage unit while he undergo rehabilitation. He had to be moved by the 1st of the month! To make a long story short, I proceeded to search for movers and was faced with the challenge of scheduling the move before the deadline which was 5 days away. The move was unexpectedly longer than I could have imagined. Not because of your guys. Bernard & DeAndre were awesome! The lady they were moving was disabled. Her whole life was packed in that truck. She was very successful & independent until 3yrs ago when she had 2 strokes & a heart attack all at the same time. Her life as she knew it no longer exists. From Ms Independent and always helping others to being the one needing help. The move was very emotional for her. I'm not telling you this for sympathy. I apologize this took so long, but these guys were a GODSEND. After getting quoted 5-800 dollars to move a 1 bedroom apartment by other moving companies, my friend recommended I look on Groupon. That's when I found Hawkboyz. I called and inquired about the Groupon, but was told that it wasn't valid; however, the price quoted to me by the owner was very reasonable still. The owner (whose name I believe is Hawk) was very helpful, accommodating, and professional. I should note that this call was made VERY last minute, and he still was able to fit me in, which I appreciated greatly. The movers--Malcolm, Milton, and Bernard--were great and efficient. This was my first experience using professional movers and I will never go back to the days of asking friends and family to assist me in any moving capacity. Hawkboyz moving service was amazing. The movers showed up on time and got to work immediately. They were professional and worked deliberately to finish the entire job within the time frame I paid for. This company was fantastic to work with and probably the best movers my husband and I have ever worked with. I used a Groupon for a 3-man crew for 3 hours and they finished in 2 hours and 50 minutes. That included loading everything from our two bedroom first-floor apartment, to unloading everything at our three bedroom townhouse (with stairs, where the majority of the heavy items went). Cajun, Jeffrey, and Sam were very prompt, polite, and worked their tails off. They were also all so sweet to our four year-old who was enthralled by watching them the entire time they worked. I used Hawkboyz for the first time about 4 years ago and now I won't move without them! Today was my 3rd move using them. They are professional, courteous, punctual and efficient. There are no hidden fees, everything you need to know is given to you in writing before you agree to a contract and pay your deposit. Gratuity is accepted and goes directly to your assigned movers. As a customer, I appreciate that. Not only have I used them to move my things, I've had them move my parents as well. This was my second time moving with Hawkboys. They are just awesome. Scheduling is easy by email with clear confirmation sent. They call 2 days before to confirm the appointment. This morning they arrived 15 minutes before the scheduled time which allowed for some planning and paper signing. At exactly 8am which was our scheduled time to start, they started moving and never stopped. We actually finished within 2:30h for a 2br/2, from second floor to second floor with no elevator. They really work hard! The 3 movers were super friendly and careful. They wrapped many of our items to prevent damage so we had absolutely no damage or stains. I am always skeptical when I find a real good price. This time it was for not. My moved started at 8 a.m. at my storage building on a Wednesday, and the temp was a lovely 28 degrees. Ashton, Adrain and Anthony were my movers. They called and texted before arriving and actually beat me to the starting location. I signed the contract, then got out of the way. These three men came to work and that is what they did. They asked questions when needed. They wrapped what was needed. My expectations were blown away. This Moving company did a Fantastic Job..They wrapped all of my furniture.... & made sure all of my things were protected.. Hired these folks to help with an out of state move. I had gotten several quotes before using their service, and they were able to come right out. They were the only company that was willing to help with very little notice. I feel they were very detailed when it came to getting things packed. Everything about my move was awesome!! I had everything packed. They was gentle with the delicate items, covering & shrink wrapping all the furniture. They disassembled my king bed/adjustable base and reassembled at my new location. I moved from a apt to a house with house furniture (very heavy) and they moved me in a timely manner that did not break my pockets. The price I paid was reasonable. Lee & Malcolm were THE BEST!!! To begin with, they came to my rescue the morning I called!! Because I the movers I had scheduled, cancelled on me me at 10:00 the night before.
