They were able to fit us in within the hour and gave us recommendations on what to do until then. Turns out there was nothing visibly wrong with the tire, no holes or anything, so they couldn't do anything on the spot. They didn't charge for the inspection and filling up the tire. We very much appreciated their help and are glad to know we can wait until we get back to deal with the tire instead of worry all weekend. They told me they only reset the lights despite getting an insurance payout so my insurance agreed to having wiscasset ford inspect their work and finish the repairs. Wisscasset ford took my car completely apart, as told to me by my insurance adjuster when they went out to see it but wiscasset ford told them that nothing was wrong wirh it other than wear and tear. This i knew was BS given the fact that the first shop told me they didnt do all the repairs. My adjuster told me wiscasset ford would call me. That was on a monday. Crickets. Wednesday I called wiscasset ford to be told the car was all set someone would be texting me photos. Crickets. Thursday I was on my way to get the car since I was told it was all set despite not getting any texts. So I called them to confirm my car was ready to be told it was still in pieces waiting for approval on a text they never sent. I reminded them they didn'tsend me anything. I finally got their estimate for repairs that was just under 5,000! They wanted to charge me a crazy amount for new tires for one example. The same price i paid for a Toyota Tacoma but my car is a small 4 door sedan. Knowing their prices are way too inflated and I could get it all done at a better rate and my lack of trust in them, I denied all repairs, According to them nothing was mechanically wrong with it and I knew the issue was due to the first claim. They said I could picked it up the next day. I did, and it had even more issues now than it did prior. The undergarage protector to the motor was dragging on the ground. I heard the noise but had no idea where it was coming from, but when I smelled smoke I pulled over to investigated to see it dragging on the road. I had had enough called my insurance and opened a second claim against wisscasset Ford and had my car towed to my old mechanic in NH whom I did business with for 20yrs prior to moving to maine. Thankful for Triple A premium. They did infact confirm that the first shop did not do all the repairs covered under my first claim and confirmed damage done by wiscasset Ford. My car now had mechanical damage. My insurance will be going after them for reimbursement. I have never had a shop have not just poor communication which is evident by many other reviews but did damage to my vehicle as well. I wonder if any of them are actually certified. The worst experience of my life. Avoid!

My…read morewife's 2013 VW Golf TDI needed a clutch and our normal shop was booked eight weeks out so she tried Atlantic... $5,000+ later the clutch is like new. My wife has owned VW's for decades and she knows the difference between good and poor service. Attention to detail doesn't mean you focused on "thank you" brownies. It means getting things right. -Sevice light was not reset. -Tire inflation light was not reset. -Left emergency cable wasn't attached. Sevice light was reset a few weeks later by Atlantic. I resent the tire light and Bruce was seemingly not interested in the emergency brake cable. "We didn't work on that system." I tried to explain that the 1st time I drove the car, albeit a month after the clutch repair, I immediately knew the emergency brake wasn't right. VIP of Bath found the left emergency cable was disconnected and reconnected the cable at no charge. No big deal right? Wrong... We live on a stupidly steep driveway and got lucky this time. When a customer says... "Hey this was working when I brought in the car and now it doesn't" The response should be... "We didn't work on that but by all means let's take a look ASAP." My guess is when they took a looked at the rear brakes, which they sent us pictures of, the cable was somehow disconnected. Who knows... The odds it just fell off are exceedingly low. Finding a place to take your car, that you trust and has competitive pricing is a challenge, especially as of late. My suggestion is to start the process by making sure the owner of the shop is from Maine. Please no more texts. No more emails... We have had enough of Atlanta Motorcar for the rest of our lives. PS That was the most expensive brownie of my life... It was delicious .
