My husband always picks up chicken Chesapeake sausage when available. There is an ice cream case and a refrigerator case with yoghurt and other dairy products. My neighbor mentioned she was looking for raw milk to make cheese and we think they carry it along with fresh eggs. We always go to pick up bread and sausage and end up with two grocery bags full of irresistible items.

I love the fact that you could sample the different types inside the tent. I would often buy honeysticks to share at my job, always buy a jar of Killer Bee Honey, and try another flavor just because. After recently relocating to the Frederick County area, I was excited to find out that The Bee Folks is located in Mount Airy, only 20 minutes or so away! Unfortunately with COVID-19, the fair has been cancelled this year and with everyone staying in the house, I found myself without honey. I was able to easily make an online order and Lori quickly e-mailed me back to let me know my order was ready for pick up. Even though we got there early and no one was there, Lori responded to my e-mail and allowed my boyfriend to enter the store (of course with his mask on) and grab the bag. As always, the quality of this honey is amazing and I am so glad to have it again! This local business is amazing and I strongly recommend that if you are a honey lover, you will find something here that suits you!

Our first stop is the very busy Amish soft pretzel stand. My kids love the standard soft pretzel dipped in melted butter and topped with rock salt. My personal favorite are the stuffed soft pretzels like the pretzels stuffed with roast beef and cooper sharp cheddar. Nothing tastes better! There are also many other stands that offer fresh produce, meats, cheeses and baked goods. I particularly like Bieler's Donuts, the same place you'll find packed lines in Philadelphia right here. It's such a fun place and my kids love it. But most importantly, this is dad's spot!

The Latin baked goods stand (which seemed to be a mix of Brazilian, Mexican, etc), was the star of the show at the market with by far the longest lines. The market also featured a cheese stand, produce, compost business and plant stand. The vibe was super low key- don't expect a bunch of extras like music, entertainment, etc.
