I told the gentleman manning the booth I was curious what he was offering and he provided me a quick overview and the availability to sample some of the greens. I circled the market and made my way back to pick up a container of yummy sorrel micro greens. I also stopped at the fish truck and ordered the lobster roll. Surprisingly I've never had a lobster roll prior to today. The lobster was good and the roll it came on was fantastic. Although, I enjoyed my sandwich I can't justify a $17 sandwich for lunch on a routine basis. There were plenty of food options but not enough farmers selling fresh produce. I counted only two farm stands, not including the micro greens guy. Parking was plenty and there was even live entertainment and covered seating provided. I would definitely recommend dropping by if you work in the area. Next time, I plan to pick up some of the unique popcorn that I noticed with interesting flavors.

Secondly, Nicholas helps you select the fish, so no strange outside hands on the fish. Great selections, great prices, and they had EVERYTHING I needed, right on down to the fish heads. They made sure everything was skinned and filleted and I was out of there fast fast. Nicholas is charming and his staff is efficient. Next time I need a bunch of fish, I'm definitely coming here!

I bought a clamshell container of sunflower. About 4oz for $10. They come rooted in coco coir mats that are compostable. There is a parking garage the other side of Bark that is pretty vacant in the Market morning hours and of course free for two hours. The brisket was a little dry, but the chicken was everything I wanted it to be. Deep smoky flavor that did not disappoint. The gentleman running that stand was nice enough to throw in a brioche bun so I could make a brisket sandwich when I got home. I toasted the bun, and accidentally burnt the heck out of it. It was so disappointing. Note: Brioche does not need to be toasted for long at all. SO much butter in the bread. But yeah, overall a cute little farmers market that has a decent selection of produce and local vendors. Miscellaneous Distillery sets up there to sell liquor produced in Mt. Airy. There is also a local seafood vendor, cheese vendor, coffee and more. You must wear a mask while in the market, and maintain social distancing. The chocolate eclairs that I got from the Capital Harvest on the Plaza farmers market in DC was divine. The pastries rotate around different farmers markets, will have to check out their Tyson's location! Twin Valley Distilleries - The whiskey and flavored rum tasting was too tempting to pass up a bottle! The sweetness of the fresh juices perfectly masked the rum, cutting the alcohol content to 15% ABV. Refreshing and perfect for a warm summer day with a nice kick! We bought all 3 flavored rums at $25/each - Hibiscus Sorrel, Fruit Punch, and Pineapple. Potomac Sweets - The croissants and decadent pastries looked scrumptious! Although the pastries are stored in a glass display case, they are still baking under the sun and are dry and stale. The brownie was alright. Recommend grabbing a pastry here bright and early when the market opens. Senzu Juice - Refreshing cold-pressed juices. The "Refresh" Watermelon Mint juice is my favorite. Liberty Delight Farms - All sorts of dog goodies from raw bones to chunky pieces of dried beef heart and chicken/beef liver. Treat your dog at the market! Great place to grab some breakfast and some treats to take home!
