I would not recommend this business…read more I had an active leak in my condo on a Saturday afternoon, with water coming through the ceiling and into a hardwired smoke detector. The alarm was going off, my property manager's emergency line was not answering, and the condo association's published emergency number was invalid. I eventually called the non-emergency fire station because I was concerned about water in the smoke detector and whether it could affect the building's alarm/sprinkler system. Hours later, around 10:30 PM, I received a call from someone who described himself as calling from an "emergency line." In that moment, I assumed he was connected to the property manager, condo association, or emergency response, and I started explaining the situation because I thought help had finally arrived. Instead, after a gut feeling something was "off", I discovered that he had gotten my name from fire department dispatch information and was contacting me to solicit business. Even after I told him I did not appreciate being called at 10:30 at night with him claiming to respond to my emergency call, he demanded the names of the property manager and property owner. That is wildly inappropriate. An active leak involving water damage and a smoke detector is not a marketing opportunity. Using emergency-response information and vague "emergency line" language to get someone on the phone during an active crisis is misleading and predatory. I would never hire or recommend someone who conducts business this way. I didn't trust this guy after just a few minutes on the phone with him, I definitely wouldn't let him in my house.

One of the worst companies to deal with. The insurance company had suggested them and I used them…read morefor water damage that occurred in my house. they were punctual in coming to the place. But after couple of days they stated that they need testing to be done and charged 1500$ for it, which wasn't approved by the insurance. I have called this company and tried to reach out to Julian atleast 10 times over the last 3 weeks. And his team mentions that he is in a meeting and will call back. But so far he has been unresponsive to any of the calls. Julian Rodriguez | Regional Branch Manager ServiceMaster Restoration Services - Mid-Atlantic E: jrodriguez@smrestore.net I will highly advise that you work with a different restoration company as they keep on adding different cost and expecting the insurance company will either ways pay for it. If the insurance company denies that cost will roll over to you all. VERY unprofessional dealing with them so far.

I would have chosen 0 stars if I could! Stay away from this…read morecompany! I scheduled an estimate twice and twice they didn't show up nor did they call or text to let me know they wouldn't be coming. I gave them a pass the first time and rescheduled. Then they stood me up again. Clearly they don't take their business or customer service seriously. If this is how they are about coming to do an estimate, I certainly would never let them start work on our floors!!!

I usually don't leave feedback but after multiple attempts of texting Carlos without a response, I…read morefelt compelled to do so, so that others wouldn't make the mistake I did with going with an inexperienced contractor. If you're looking for a quick fix to a problem but don't care about quality, timeliness, nor losing money, then J&C flooring meets those requirements. I negotiated with Carlos to renovate both my bathrooms and install hardwood floors to which he provided a good faith estimate on what that would cost. He doesn't always do the work himself but brings in other "guys" to do the work while he goes off to other projects he has going on at the same time. The tile guy he brought in didn't seem to understand the importance of "level" or proper gapping between tiles. Many of the installed tiles were chipped or cut skewed and didn't line up properly. When Carlos returned and surveyed the work, he asked, "what's wrong with this work?" I had him tear all the tile down and redo it, essentially eating the cost of the wasted tile. Carlos will send a text at the last moment and say I won't be showing up today or tomorrow after previously promising to do so and make up an excuse as to why...usually it's because he's needed on another job. Long story short, Carlos may be good at installing flooring (vinyl, carpet, and perhaps hardwood), I wouldn't know since he quit without finishing my bathroom even after he was fully paid (unfinished niche). I would definitely think twice before letting him to do your bathroom. I had the Home Depot Pro Services come out and inspect Carlos' work since I needed the niche (which he was supposed to come back and finish) to be completed and they recommended that I rip everything out again since Carlos used the incorrect thin set (Mapei pre-mix meant for kitchen back splashes which isn't meant for bathrooms or wet environments). His favorite excuse on bad tiling is don't worry, caulking will hide the imperfections. Update: It's ironic that a business owner would respond to a review that "this is what happens to people that cry a lot". Except for having the tiling redone (eating the cost of the replacement tiles; Carlos was never apologetic about it either) not once did we complain about the extended time it took to complete the project. His original estimate was $1700 for labor only...we ended up paying Carlos over $3K, and yet we are the ones supposedly crying a lot?
