Once a car is off warranty, I would not trust it to any other shop. My family has taken our cars here for over 20 years. We're now into the 2nd generation of our family taking our cars here, even if it means a drive across town for the kids. And Hawkwood auto is also in it's 2nd generation with dad Steve passing the reins to son Kyle. Be sure to plan, getting an appointment might take a few days, but there's a reason for that. These folks are as honest as the day is long, and I've never had a sub-par repair. Price is good too. As long as we are in Calgary, we'll only go to one mechanic. read more

Wow...just wow... I blew a tire on the highway and my Jeep towed here on recommendation of a friend. At the same time the dealer ship told me I had a $2000 repair on my steering gear. They fixed the tire for free then inspected the steering gear and told me the repair wasn't required. Giving a five star rating doesn't seem like a good enough payback, but I will do what I can to send business this way read more

A repair shop you can trust. On multiple occasions with my vehicle, my parent's vehicle and my friends vehicle's they have come back with invoices lower than the quote. Going in with fears of thousand dollar repairs I've come out more than once with a simple fix and a bill that made me happy I found them and quit going to the dealer. I am beyond happy with how Steve at Hawkwood Auto helped me out yesterday. I was attempting to winterize my RV for the first time, and needed a particularly odd sized Socket. After looking at all the usual places (hardware stores, etc) and not being able to find one without buying a $200 socket set, I stopped in to my neighborhood mechanic and asked if I could borrow one from him for a couple of hours. He happily sent me on my way with the correct socket wrench, without even taking my phone number as insurance. When I returned the wrench a couple hours later, he told me he had ordered one for me to keep, and it would arrive that afternoon. Wow. At the same time, my kids car was making a funny noise. He had one of his guys listen to the engine, diagnose a problem Alternator on the spot, and replace it the next day......for $50 LESS than the price he originally quoted me (and $400 less than my Acura quote).
