2023 04 April, 10:15. Winston Salem NC…read more Parking - 1 arrive very early! Parking is in an overcrowded ramp which is located so far from admission that getting to it is practically a physical fitness event. Not suitable for disabled people who need this facility. Location - 4 the hospital is easy to find. Getting Around - 1 Good signage on their premises is scarce. I wonder if there is some poor person forever roaming, trying to find the way out. Customer Service - 4 with the exception of billing department, today, staff was kind and helpful. Pricing - 2 medical is always expensive. Make sure to check your billing. Restrooms - 3 clean and well stock if you can find one. Go before you leave home. Having come from another state 8 years ago, i have found medical facilities in NC a surprise. Vast difference. While i find their outpatient facilities reasonable in care, i am not so convinced when it cones to their understaffed inpatient facilities. Cleanliness- Seating-

On August 3, 2026, my 76-year-old mother was taken by ambulance to Novant Forsyth Hospital…read moreEmergency Room arriving around midnight with extreme back pain that was off the charts. On a scale of 1 to 10, it was a 100!! They ordered a CT scan, and when the female ER attending physician came back into the exam room, she informed us that the CT scan showed nothing, no fractures, NOTHING!! She gave us the "choice" that either my mother could go HOME OR to a NURSING HOME!! The so- called "doctor" left the room and NEVER came back. So, in comes another male "doctor" or "PA" and he told us the same thing. Obviously, he had already read the first doctor's notes and only parroted what she said. The attending RN helped advocate for my mother and they FINALLY agreed to admit my mother to the hospital. If it had not been for that nurse, we would have been essentially "kicked out." Fast forward to that afternoon, the hospitalist on my mother's floor ordered an MRI, and guess what? My mother had a COMPRESSION FRACTURE IN HER LOWER BACK!!! She had to have surgical procedure on Thursday, August 6th!! Amazing how it could go from NOTHING to a 5-DAY STAY in the hospital and having to have a surgical procedure. If the MRI had been done in the ER to begin with, it would have made more sense BEFORE THEY STARTED TELLING US WE HAD TO BE DISCHARGED. I resent the fact that my mother was not treated the way she should have been. We were very scared and so worried. These medical providers swear to the Hippocratic Oath, but they do not seem to abide by it. I am sure that no one will say a word to these people and how they treated us and they will get to keep right on treating others this way. They sure don't hesitate to take your money though.

From…read morehaving my tonsils out as an adult, to several surgeries for rectal cancer and having a kidney stone removed. I have always received exceptional care here. The staff are all very caring and do their jobs well. When I was in for my first rectal cancer surgery and on a liquid diet, they kept bringing me sweet tea with my trays. I told the person from dietary that I do not like tea, but would appreciate something else to drink if they had anything, She said that was the standard menu for a liquid diet, but she would see what she could do. She left my room, then came back with 5 cans of Gatorade. She said to let her know if I needed more. The nurses are amazing. There were some technical issues in my room when I had my second rectal cancer surgery. My call bell wasn't working, so when I pressed it to ask for my pain medication, they did not get the notification at the nurse's station. It was around shift change, so luckily a CNA came in to get my vitals. I told her I had been ringing for my pain medication, but there was no answer. She ran out of the room, suddenly I was swarmed by nurses. They got me settled with my pain medication, then got to work trying to figure out why my call bell wasn't working. They messed with the plug in the wall, and it started working again. They also noticed my room was missing a phone, so they went and got me one. They wrote their direct phone number up on my white board, so in case the call bell stopped working again, I could call them instead. For the rest of the night, any time anybody came to check on me, they made sure my call bell still worked. I absolutely would have another procedure there again.

As always, a clean, comfortable place to receive care. From the security at the front entrance to…read morethe nursing staff, everyone is welcoming and professional. The treatment is kind, top-notch, healthcare.
