I like that they've got a hot food bar, salad bar, and even a little seating area with a microwave if you want to eat on the spot. Customer service is super convenient for returns, and I appreciate that they've got both cashiers and self-checkout. The "smart carts" you can scan as you go look fun--I'll try one next time. Deals are easy to spot on the shelves, and the parking lot has plenty of space. Bonus: there's a whole aisle dedicated just to wine and beer. BUUUUT...The produce section looked super rough. Lots of wilted lettuce, sad-looking flowers, and big gaps in the refrigerated area where items were missing. I even had to go hunting for one of those little plastic produce bags. The hot food bar didn't look great either with trays sitting out for who knows how long, some empty altogether. Same with the salad bar, which definitely needed some love. Even the beer and wine refrigerated area wasn't fully stocked. TLDR: , The store feels kind of quiet and empty not much energy. Hubby asked employee for more details about the different shopping options and the employee told him customers could shop the "normal way they" pay via self checkout or with a cashier or do the "dash cart" option. Hubby was told that the "dash cart" option was for Amazon Prime members who had their account connected to their bank account. After hubby confirmed his Amazon Prime bank account information, he was given a special cart which allowed him to scan our I'm while shopping for a completely contact-free experience As we walked down the aisles at Amazon Fresh Murrieta, I noticed that some of my favorite items cost substantially more there than elsewhere (e.g Veganaise is $9.99 at store I usually shop but was $11.57 at Amazon Fresh.) Hubby loved scanning his items while shopping and hearing the "ding" sound to signal that the scan was a success. When arriving at the salad bar and hot bar, I was pleasantly surprised to see allergen listed above the hot and salad bar food, I was disappointed by the small amount of vegan friendly bar options which consisted of ingredients to make a salad, vegetable stir fry, an Asian inspired chopped salad, and dolmas. I will admit that there was a bit of a learning curve when using the dash cart for salad bar items but luckily, an employee was nearby to walk us through the process. During our shopping trip, we learned that whenever you plan to purchase an item from the "salad bar," you have to select "add food or code," type in "salad bar," place your box in the back of the cart to have it automatically weighed, then place the box of food in your cart. Though this technology is cool, there we're times when the cart gave an error that we didn't put the item in the cart but this was easily fixed by pressing a button confirming all items weee in the cart. The ambience in the store was pleasant with several employees stocking the shelves, clear digital signage in the aisles, and wide aisles to accommodate several shoppers. My main pet peeve at Amazon Fresh Murrieta was that the store grouped vegan frozen food mixed with non vegan food. I personally would prefer to have vegan frozen food separate but understand that this might not be possible due to freezer space constraints. As hubby prepared to pay for our groceries, he was extremely pleased when he walked through the dash lane and exit, was checked out contact free, and the cart presented him with the choice of if he wanted his store receipt emailed to him. Overall, we both liked the shopping experience because it was interactive and thorough but disliked having to confirm that items purchased were actually in the cart. Likewise, we and would like to see more clearer signage in the hot bar/salad regarding discounts since we were told by an employee that food from there areas were reduced in price during 6pm-7pm but didn't see a discount on our store receipt.

I have some extra time now that I am retired so I am working on improving my home insulation.  I am…read morestarting with the hottest room in the house.  The side of the window that opens is the hottest in the house.  Currently I have aluminum foil taped onto a sunshield which I placed between the glass and the screen.  That worked for a summer but the tape was disintegrating from being in the sun. Looking on amazon.com I found some window insulation. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSHVSFYX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It was reflective like aluminum foil.  I found it to be thin and have similar insulation quality as a double layer of aluminum foil.  It is pretty flimsy and tricky to keep in place against the screen. Not awesome but I like it better than aluminum foil. On the left side of the window I have 3 1 inch sheets of foam insulation and on the right side I have a double layer of the aluminum window insulation plus a sunshield. I took some temperature measurements. wunderground.com temp for area 87F wall 79F window with 3 layers of 1 inch foam insulation 82F window with aluminum window insulation plus sunshield 84F So far using 3 inches of foam insulation is the best insulation I've found.  I'm going to keep looking for better insulation for this troublesome window. Being rude as in: standing in the only TWO parking spots available for Amazon fresh pick, Amazon fresh delivery drivers (in blue vests) parking in designated spots for customer pickup, walking across the parking spot when you're clearly backing into it and there is plenty of sidewalk to be on. Can't help to think they're doing it on purpose. Love the deals and convenience but wish there was a better solution for Amazon fresh pick up & more considerate employees.
