We had been living in our home for about a year, and the garage door was starting to act out. We…read morecalled Central Valley overhead door because they left their sticker on the inside of the garage door because they serviced it in the past when the pervious owner lived here. For the past two weeks our door was giving us problems because it would only open a quarter of the way and then stop, then when you would push the button in the garage to get it open again and it would close then open half way this time, but if you use the clicker in the car or the button that you used to program the opener to your car it opened everytime... well not this time, it opened 3/4 of the way and then it stopped then as I was backing into my garage and I hit the top of the garage door. After I hit the garage door, it really act out. I Called Central Valley overhead door and they came out the next day and they did inform us that we would have to replace the whole system eventually, but in the mean time they replaced the clicker in the garage and service the motor, and added another metal brace to fix the dipping in the door and where I hit it with car. They also hammered out the dent to the best of their abilities. I know some day we will have to replace it but for now it works great, better than before, and they were reasonable priced! Needing to make a change we went to Yelp and found Advance Doors. Chris followed up with me immediately...we arranged a meeting so that he could inspect the doors and give me a quote. Ultimately, I chose Advance Doors and Chris in particular because of his flexibility...during that first schedule meeting...my schedule changed suddenly and he instead met with my realtor. He adjusted to the change, no problem, and followed up with a reasonable quote to replace two old doors with new style track slide up doors with openers. I also had him instal a rollup door (like those on industrial business for my workshop(adjacent to the garage). We had to change the install dates a couple of time due to my schedule and the weather and through it all Chis was cool. He's a personable person, works efficiently and I couldn't be happier with the result and experience. Ali explained that the board to fix the old opener would cost about the same as a new one. So we decided to get new openers for each door (rather than get one new one and keep an old one). It was $1000 installed for both openers. We felt it was a good value. Jamal came and did the installation a day or two later and got the work done quickly. Then he came back a few days later and hauled off the old ones. (So if they leave the old stuff for a while, don't worry-- they're coming back!) Both Ali and Jamal are very personable and customer-service oriented. We enjoyed working with this business and would call them again if we had more issues.
