Darrell Butler was the sales representative and he said of course there would be no issues doing that, and he would need our signatures and some information to allow them to do such. Things were taking way longer than expected and had to leave. Only thing I was told was everything looked good and he would know more when a "HARD PULL" was done when I came back. No info on vehicle prices, interest rates, etc. Upon getting in my vehicle Darrell Butler said he would keep our information on file so another credit didn't need to be run. In a hurry for an appointment, in up the road I realized what he said about pulling credit. Sure enough, we checked our credit reports and NOT ONLY were we LIED TO about "SOFT PULL" BUT there were TWO "HARD PULLS" DONE on both of us. Calling the dealership I spoke with Mr Taylor stating he was a manager. He stated retraining was needed for Mr Butler. If Mr Butler has truly been doing this almost 30 years, he does not need retraining. He needs to answer to the Lord FOR ALL HIS LIES. I requested to Mr Taylor that we were both requesting a reversal be made on both of our UNAUTHORIZED "HARD PULLS". Mr Taylor tried to tell me that such a thing is not possible. With my family having worked in credit/collections. A REVERSAL IS POSSIBLE. Situation is...Is Peterson Toyota of Lumberton, NC HONEST" enough to do the right thing???

Upon my departing for my 10+ hr drive, i was told the General Manager had an appointment to show the truck i was approved for, GM NEVER called me as i asked him too, tharts cowardly and poor business, i was on my way out of town to finalize this. Crossroads ended up selling the truck and telling me they wer sorry. They have very very poor business ethics and the GM runs the dealership poorly if that's how they operate. i purchase alot of trucks and this was by FAR the worst experience ever, for them to sell my truck the day i was coming, and the salesman was aware!! I called first thing in the morning for a vehicle we had seen online the night before that we had been searching for months to find. I spoke with the Manager Vic and he said he would have it ready when we got there which was a few hour drive away. When we got there is was waiting along with David the Sales Associate who quickly got the paperwork done while they had the vehicle detail and filled it up with gas. If you want professionals this is your spot and worth the drive. Now I have one very Happy Husband cruising around in his new Bronco.

As you see on the pic there is no mention of any past damage or repairs. I asked could the work on the price. He mentioned a little. We set up a meeting on 6 may 2026. I made it to the dealership and had limited because I have prayer at 6pm in spring lake NC. I test drove the vehicle and noticed the tire pressure light on. Larry mentioned that the guy that owned it before had large tires and swapped them out. I asked about the price so he looked it up. It had on line price as 45k . I saw the screen. He said he went to talk with manager to discuss it. They came back with 46,800.00. He took my 2015 740LI with around 117k miles for 6k. Well after all the paper work was done I left and went home. The next day the vehicle arrive and Gave them the care . Later I checked the truck out and noticed the truck had a paint-less sticker on the inside of door jam on the drivers side. I had received a call from finance manager and she reminded me to send the check. I hit redial and called her to ask for a Carfax. She said she would send it right away. She never did and refused to answer calls when I called to check. I sent a message to Larry. He was not at work. I ask him about the floor mat and the owners manual and the car fax. I Got all but the owners manual after he said he would send the stuff. I looked at the car fax and noticed a air bag deployment and moderate damage reported. Usually dealers give you a Carfax before selling you the vehicle. I saw why I did not get one after I red it. I talked to Larry about returning the vehicle or partial refund and about a warranty. He said they Rey refused to do anything. So here I am having to go through outside litigation or get a Lawyer. It is hard to resale a vehicle with an airbag deployment on Carfax. Had I seen the Carfax I would not have gotten this vehicle.

TLDR: they gave me a lottery ticket designed to trick you into thinking you've won a lot when in…read morereality you've won nothing. Received a massive ad flier in the mail that served as a "scratch off lottery ticket" for an event they were putting on. This ticket was probably 13"x17" and covered with all sort of different advertisements designed to be as distracting and nonsensical as possible. Scratched it and it said I "won $2,500 instant cash". Obviously I was skeptical of this so I looked all over for fine print and in the fine print it said "no purchase necessary, match your winning number and claim your prize". Still skeptical I called the dealership to confirm this was legitimate and was responded with "yes this is legit, just come down with the flier and you'll get your prize." So I drove an hour to their dealership, sat down with one of their salesmen, filled out some paperwork and suddenly he walks out with a board that's got different numbers than what's on my scratch off. Finds a random, different small print section that wasn't on the "scratch off" part and says "this is my 'real' winning number" and matches it to his board. With the "real" winning number the most I would walk out with is a $5 chick fila gift card. It cost me more in gas to get to the dealership than the card was worth. After being Obviously upset, an "event specialist" walks over and attempts to explain how it works trying to read the fine print to me as if I didn't already do that myself. She kept saying that it's a "marketing strategy" and when I said it's not marketing it's called deceit she got mad and walked off. In what world is the number you literally scratch off on a lottery ticket not your winning number and how am I expected to know there's this magical second smaller number hidden on the page. Had they explained that when I CALLED TO CONFIRM I would have no issues but they clearly don't care. If a business has to lie just to get you in the door imagine what they're doing to get you to buy something. I would highly recommend not doing business with folks who show such little concern for honestly especially when conducting business in the 10s of thousands dollars.

I was told it was mechanically serviced and professionally detailed. The truck had soiled used men's underwear in it, the maintenance wasn't done, and I was told by sales that "the detail crew is lazy and I think the mechanics just missed a few things.". The tires were damaged and unsafe and even though that is a certified pre-owned requirement I was forced to pay out of pocket for road safe tires. The spare keys were missing, and I was told to pay out of pocket. After showing the certified checklist, they reluctantly slid a spare key across the table. At one point I was told by sales, "You GOT money. You can buy tires!". I never received paperwork for the tires, and I told them not to put that on the financing, but they did anyway. I was promised free oil changes for life at a Toyota dealership near me but when I spoke to their management, they said this would never happen. Advertised items were missing from the truck. I was told if I want them, I need to pay for them myself. Sales did find some items, but they took them from other vehicles on the lot. I did receive a call a few days after purchase and was told the store manager would contact me directly. I have called, texted, emailed multiple times with no call back. I am trying to get this resolved but I'm deeply disappointed with the experience. I was charged $2,895 for the promise of a certified vehicle and $999 dealer/doc fee. The extra costs just kept adding up and I still have no paperwork backing up what was done and what was promised. Nissan of Lumberton was the previous owner of this truck and put it up for sale the last day of January 2024 with 11200 miles. By mid-March the truck had 18,091 miles on it. I was told by Nissan of Lumberton that a Nissan Executive drove this truck 6,891 miles from when it was posted for sale. The night I agreed to purchase they actually raised the cost of the truck online an additional $5,000 with the higher mileage listed. An extremely stressful and costly experience with so many things still unanswered and unknown and the buying experience took 8 hours from start to finish.
