I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but wow, this place is impressive. Even through all the chaos and craziness, the friendly employees here still manage to keep everything straight. They efficiently take your order and deliver your ice cream to you. Lots and lots of flavors to choose from. I think there was 140+ flavors To choose from. They had some dairy free and some vegan options as well. According to everyone in my party, everybody said the ice cream was delicious. I only tried the peach melba, which was pretty good. It's a decent value. It's definitely cheaper than cold stone creamery or one of the major chains that sell lesser quality products. I would definitely recommend this place. Great selection and loved the holiday flavors and decor Tried the egg nog (with booze), rum raisin (with booze), and pumpkin pie. My favorites were definitely egg nog and rum raisin. The alcohol in both really brings out the flavors. The egg nog is seasonal so hurry in to try it. The rum raisin is year round and very popular. This place is a must try when you are beachside. Decorated in a very Harry Potter theme which was very cute. The woman who I think was the owner was so very sweet and got us both laughing. We first visited Haze years ago when the lady who owns it, first opened. It is now in a different location but worth driving to for homemade real ice cream. The ice cream flavors are unique, and the PB Chocolate Chip is so good as well as the Salted Caramel. They mark their allergen ingredients on the descriptions which I appreciate. Why small businesses won't leave out artificial coloring I don't know. (Knocked one star for that) Mint chocolate chip with no food coloring still tastes amazing. People should start asking for no colors. Other reviews mentioned they don't offer a sample and that's it true, it hasn't been that way since the vid. One would think with all the ice cream shops in the area it would be very difficult to decide which one to try, I personally would try them all if that would be possible for someone traveling through the area, trust me it's not possible because there are so many, so I relied on my fellow Yelpers and boy did they get it right. I must admit this place had another convincing physicality that reeled me in "homemade banana cream ice cream" O-M-G yes I know everyone talks about the waffle cone and trust me all of what they say is true but not for me I wanted mine piled high in a lonely cup with a spoon. I was all in after the first bite I made a lame attempt to share but she was enjoying a waffle cone filled with mocha chip and chocolate mint and had no interest, which was fine by me. This place was immaculate, maybe even a level or two cleaner than that and if someone stood up the "sanitizer" was on her way to ensure everything was reset to perfection, of course I'm sure everyone shares this responsibility but this one little girl was all over it and it was all done with a smile. I must say the entire staff was friendly and attentive during our visit, this place is definitely a must do if you're in the area, I only wish I had found them a few days earlier but I know without a doubt I'll be back since we frequent this coast and only live a few hours away... read more

I don't find myself in Madeira Beach very often, but after scheduling a dinner in St. Pete Beach, I instantly added the 17-minute drive up Gulf Blvd to Haze Ice Cream to our itinerary. Madeira Mayor, Ginger L said that red velvet oreo is their best flavor, but was not an option on this particular night. I was quite happy to enjoy salted caramel and coconut in a waffle cone. The salted caramel was a bit more mild than others that I've tried recently. I was happy with it, but would have also been happier with a tad more saltiness. The coconut was the opposite - there were real chunks of coconut in it, which added to the experience. And the waffle cone was great, as always. It may be a long time before I'm back for a second visit, but that's just due to proximity. If I lived nearby, this would be my regular ice cream fix! read more

Homemade ice cream with alcohol in it!? I come here specifically for their alcoholic, 21+ ice cream choices. The Baileys ice cream is so creamy and so good, with just a little bit of a boozy zing to it. They do card you if you are going to order one of these. I enjoy their cookies and cream ice cream too but wish it were a bit creamier. I do love the amount of cookies they pack in though. They don't offer samples of any of their flavors, which is kind of a bummer since they had a few unique ones I would have loved to try before committing my whole cup to that one flavor. read more

We just stopped here for ice cream. First I would like to say about the customer service. We were greeted as we entered, everyone was pleasant as we picked our flavors. We picked this ice cream place based on the availability of dairy free ice cream. They had 4 dairy free ice cream flavors. We choose the mint chocolate chip and chocolate. Both were good, coconut based flavors. My husband had the butter pecan shake and he said it was good as well. Best ice cream I've had in a long long time. I'm so glad that I found it here on Yelp and I thank my fellow Yelpers. Very minimalist in decor and signage, the people who work there are extremely nice,but I'll get to the point. It was a hard decision because everything sounded so good but I chose Death By Chocolate. I made the right decision because it was so good! My daughter had coconut and loved it. Hopefully we make it back before we have to go home but if we don't, I'll make sure to stop in the next time I'm in the area. Place is great for that perfect ice cream fix you need. Staff are very helpful and when I went in with my friend they didn't hesitate to greet us and help us out. It's pretty spacious on the inside and they do have a restroom just in case. Front the outside I thought it was closed because the windows were tinted. (It's actually mirrored from the outside) They have a moderate amount of ice cream flavors and even have dairy free ice cream flavors which are all pretty good. I've been coming here for about 2-3 years with my family whenever we drive down to Florida for vacation. One of my favorite milkshakes that my sister ordered was the Cotton Candy Ice cream milkshake with fruity pebbles mixed in it topped with whipped cream. Trust me when I say it's really good. Ok. Here's the thing. It was ok. We went because of the five-star rating with hundreds of reviews. That's impressive for sure, but didn't really match that expectation. Firstly, you know that distinct ice cream smell where you can just tell it's high quality as soon as you walk in the store? We didn't get that here. One note with the presentation: all the ice cream had the lids on behind the counter, so you couldn't get see the flavors, which personally helps me make the tough decision. Secondly, my wife's brown sugar ice cream was sub-par. In her words, it's not even as good as soft serve. I got the Cookie Monster ice cream, which was tasty and fun. Not quite five-star, especially since one of the cookie dough bites had a hair baked into it. Cute little ice cream shop in Florida. We were on a family vacation and had a taste for some ice cream. I found this place on Yelp and saw nothing but good reviews, so we decided to try it. The ice cream is homemade in the restaurant and delicious! I believe they feature different flavors each day so that's nice if you like variety. The waffle cone was a treat all by itself. It was perfect. My husband and kids just got regular scoops in a cup and they enjoyed there. The place was very cute and colorful and has indoor seating, but the seating area was closed due to Covid. This place was a happy surprise for me! The reason I took a drive down to Haze is because they offer homemade ice cream for dairy lovers and those who have dairy allergies. I am one of the many who cannot eat dairy and they have a good arrangement of ice creams to offer. I'll have to admit that the dairy ice creams had much more variety in flavors but I was happy with my strawberry ice cream. The base is coconut milk in place of regular milk so you will have a slight coconut taste but it is not overwhelming. My guy and I were searching for ice cream this hot afternoon so I whipped out my Yelp bookmarks and found Haze before we drove past. So happy we stopped in. The choice of ice creams was expansive with just enough flavors of each type (dairy free, alcohol free, and regular) to feel like there are good options without being overwhelming.
