My husband and I were looking for a new place to try and we saw that La Casa Del Pane was walking distance from the condo so we had to check it out. What I find fascinating is not only is it a bakery, but also a mini grocery store selling Italian food. It was a bit confusing to order food because there were too cash registers open on opposite ends of the counter so we weren't sure where the line started. We ended up following the crowd and ordered fairly quickly. The pastries we ordered were so good. There was a lot to choose from but we ended up going with the lobster tail and lemon cake. The lobster tail is massive and completely overflowing with custard. By far one of the best pastries I've had. Even though we enjoyed what we ordered, we felt like it was a little expensive. Cute Italian market and deli in St. Pete Beach. We were staying on Treasure Island for the weekend, and I did not want to cook at all. So I drove over to La Casa Del Pane to pick up some food. They have a great little coffee bar, and they make all sorts of breads and pastries and pizzas. They also have a refrigerator section with housemade pasta sauces and fresh pastas and lasagna. It's like a mini Mazzaro's. I'd stick to the Italian-inspired items over things like croissants, but otherwise, this is a great place to pick up some starchy, carb-y goodness. read more

This is a cute little Italian cafe near the beach. They have the most amazing pastry selection, many of which have been shipped in from Italy. They serve breakfast and lunch, opening at 8am. I walked up at 7:55 on a Tuesday off season and there was already a crowd gathered outside. For good reason. Their coffee, latte and espresso game are legit and the Italian cooks will not disappoint. I was lucky enough to experience a cooking class there. We made eggplant parmigiana from scratch. I shared it with family at home who said "bleh, we don't really like eggplant parmigiana". Now, the semolina bread? Brooklyn good. I found staff to be very patient. A couple reviews pointed out a rude young woman. I love La Casa Del Pane! I'm a morning beach person so I hit this place up for lunch after going to the beach. The large sandwiches are perfect for splitting and the pizzas are excellent. There is a pizza topped with arugula, which is my favorite. The pastry section looks absolutely incredible but I stay away from it! They also have bread that you can take home and a few antipasto items. There is also a small market with Italian made products for sale. Great spot in the beach that is not touristy! read more

The Cake Master TV show (Carlo) had an Italian bakery there, we know good Italian pastry. I can't even describe how perfect the layers of pastry shell were, nor how perfect the cream filling was. First I'd like to say this place has the best Italian sandwiches in town, reminds me of growing up in NY. That said, in the last month, I've noticed a sizable difference in the sandwiches from the last 3 times I ordered from here. This first picture I'm including is the normal large size from earlier this month and the second is almost half the size and was the most recent order. Very disappointing because I love the authentic food here so much. I'm not sure if this is the new normal to cut down on costs but it's extremely frustrating to order a sandwich that has now been reduced to half the size for the same price. Um yea mazzaros you got some competition. This is Italian done right, and the ingredients are shipped from Italy yay!! Let's start with the calzone , it was pretty good but I think the bread was a bit thick for my liking . The peppers/onions and sausage were perfect though . I loved the prosciutto and mozzarella because everything tasted FRESH!!! The combination of savory prosciutto, tomato and mozzarella was perfect and the bread was very good as well. This was just a solid Italian sandwich done proper . The pistachio muffin was one of the best I've had in Florida , personally I don't think it needs the sugar on top but otherwise the aftertaste and sweetness was perfect. Hands down will come back for the LOBSTER TAIL, which was the perfect combination of crunchy, flaky and soft with just the right amount of sweetness in the creamy (generous) filling inside. YUM! The owner Anna, who is an Italian native, is an absolute delight! There's a great bar space to sit as you enjoy your morning cappuccino and pastry, with friendly patrons who are doing the same. They are properly distancing inside, with only a few tables spaced very well and hand sanitizer provided. We ordered a couple sandwiches and took a table outside. Nice little patio with comfy chairs and umbrellas. They bring your order to your table when ready. I ordered the (woman's name) special sandwich, pressed, on focaccia. It was prosciutto, sundried tomato, fresh mozzarella, with pesto. It was amazing. Amazingly messy but really tasty. I could only eat half and saved the rest for later. The other half didn't keep very well - just to note. My husband had a boring regular breakfast that they offered. Couple of eggs, with toast and maybe bacon. It was fine. The bakery items looked great but we didn't partake. There are only a couple of parking spots in front, but turn on the street just past the shop and there is plenty of parking in back. read more

We just discovered this nice cafe in St Pete Beach this month and have been twice already. I always order several pastries, a latte, and a prosciutto/fresh mozzarella sandwich (swapping bread for croissant) and hubby gets the Italian. So good! Thiiick mozzarella slices, you can taste the freshness. The prosciutto almost melts in your mouth. Slightly tangy at bites from the drizzled balsamic vinegar. Buttery, flaky, big croissant. Excellent portion, but nearly $10. It's quality though. Italian sandwich comes loaded with the meats, worth the price. All the cookies and pastries we have tried have been very good, but my favorite are the wedding cookies loaded with white powder sugar and almond flavor. Loooveee. Service has always been very friendly. It has been so packed every single time we have gone though, without much social distancing inside (it's harder due to limited diverting). The bar seating area doesn't have any signs instructing patrons to space out / leave one chair at least in-between if they are not from the same party. With so many people close together and talking to each other there, we ended up walking out with our little bags and finished our meal at home today. We are definitely coming back, but will be ordering takeout until the pandemic eases or if we come early enough to snag a socially-distanced table outside. Great spot otherwise! read more

The atmosphere is beautiful, it really tunes yourself into the Italian culture and is represented so well. I order the mortadella with cheese, lettuce and tomato with balsamic vinaigrette with a strawberry cream cheese croissant along with a fresh cappuccino. It was one of the BEST brunch I've had in such a very long time. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. The beautiful table inside really makes you feel so family friendly to everybody around. My mom order a babamisu and it was absolutely delicious with all the different texture, we also order a French bread and it was delicious.
