It's a neighborhood vibe with a few restaurants, breweries, and shops nearby. Plenty of neighborhood street parking around it. The salon is cute. Spacious, lots of plants and sunlight. They carry a ton of products you can purchase. I would recommend this salon to anyone and especially Brooke. She does amazing blonding work. I'm a brunette and she was blonding me for a while. My initial hair consultation with Brandon felt warm and professional. We discussed my hair history and goals, and after sharing a reference photo, we aligned on a balayage service. I paid a cash deposit and left genuinely excited, counting down the days for a much-needed change. Unfortunately, that excitement was short-lived. On the day of the service, Brandon's demeanor was completely different. He was quiet and disengaged. Halfway through the process, I noticed things looked off, his technique didn't resemble any balayage I'd received in the past. My hair was minimally foiled or layered. I showed him the reference photo again, hoping to steer things back on track, but by the time he finished, the results were miles away from what we discussed. The service felt rushed and careless. I left the salon looking nearly identical to how I walked in, aside from a slight root color correction. When I voiced my concerns, Brandon admitted he had rushed the service due to overbooking. We discussed a follow-up appointment to get it fixed, which he framed as a "complimentary touch-up" though let's be honest, it was clearly a redo for a poorly executed job. Still, I gave him another chance, hoping he'd take the opportunity to deliver the quality he had originally promised. Spoiler alert: he didn't. Brandon kept rescheduling the follow-up, often at the last minute. I rearranged work, childcare, and personal plans to accommodate his availability, only to be canceled on without proper notice. Rightfully, I decided not to pursue another attempt. The work should've been done properly the first time, and I no longer had time to waste. Brandon agreed to issue a refund, which at that point felt like the bare minimum. But even that turned into a drawn-out hassle. Communication with him became frustrating and, frankly, bizarre. Instead of taking responsibility for a service he had already acknowledged was rushed and not up to his own standards, Brandon had the audacity to reframe the situation in his favor. He prioritized only his time and implied the issue was with my hair. He portrayed the refund as some kind of generous favor, claiming that other stylists wouldn't have even offered one. Apparently, I was expected to be grateful and wait patiently on his terms and timeline. This entire ordeal has been unnecessarily long and deeply frustrating. I've allowed more than enough time for a professional resolution. The salon has ignored the issue entirely and taken zero responsibility. How this has been handled speaks volumes about their professionalism or lack thereof, and how little they truly value the customer experience. Honestly, I still can't tell what was more overdone, Brandon's ego or audacity. Either way, both came through loud and clear... unlike the balayage! read more

It's always a struggle to find a hair stylist who knows how to cut curly hair but I really lucked out after a friend recommended Jana at Hazel and Harley. Honestly, I was a little wary at first because she doesn't really share any photos of curly cuts on her insta but she did NOT disappoint! Jana was incredibly sweet as she expertly and carefully cut my hair and gave me the curly-shag cut I've been trying to achieve! I'd recommend her to anyone (I even sent my bf to her!). Voodoo Magic! East & West Coast talent in the Rocky Mountains! This salon Harley & Hazels is insane, the top- the mile high TOP! I moved back home to CO from LA and struggled for two years to find a competent colorist who could give me a basic California Farrah Fawcet blond. With two COMPLETE fails at two very high end salons, I was at the mad and confused. In 6 months, It cost me a total of about $1200 to fix ie "COLOR CORRECT" the past two hair colors I received from these salons. My last failed color was 4 days ago and was done at Kantor & Company a high end salon in Boulder. I walked in dusty blond and walked out Elvira. Literally, no joke, (see pics) they low lit my hair and streaked it ash white! This was their attempt to match a Julia Roberts photoI used as inspiration (see pic). The color was worse than bad - my close friend said it looked like I had a mug shot. I joked color this bad was only possible to get in prison!. Color was horrible, but the streakiness was horrifying. Instead of righting their wrong, Kantor wrote me off with an email saying " Our team agrees you're not a good fit for our salon- wish you luck on your hair journey". I was shocked - they weren't even gonna try to fix it?! I was also desperate. I was currently in the middle of filming a huge project and my hair was a disaster. Enter: my saving grace. Brittany Balagat color genius extraordinaire. Most colorists are booked 2 weeks out. The only reason Brittany could fit me in was because She had just moved back from Chicago and was rebuilding her book. She was willing to take the risk of color correction - which is a liability to most colorists, and said she would see me first thing Monday. I had very low expectations that Brittany could fix hair color this bad in one sessions but it was pure magic what she did- photos included. It was the best hair I have had to date in Colorado and perhaps even rivals what I had in LA. The lesson I learned through this 6 month hair nightmare? Talented colorists are born not made- no matter how many years you have been doing it. Brittany has the gift. Kelly at Kantor & Co despite being 20 year vet of color -was not. Book with Brittany now if you want to get in because you won't be able to get on her books 6 months from now.- I promise she is that good. Brittany- please save me my spot :). I have been coming to this salon for highlights for the past 4 years and have enjoyed my experiences there except for today. I've had numerous highlights done in the past without a haircut and have always had my hair blow dried and its never been an issue. Today I had highlights done and was told that because I didn't book a blow dry separately, I would be leaving with wet hair. I spent $250 on a partial highlight with no blow dry. If you are going to change your policy then I suggest updating your website so that other customers know that they need to book a blow dry separately. REALLY disappointing as I had a date night tonight that I planned around getting my hair done. I will never come back. read more

Very very disappointed in this salon and with my hairstylist Brittany. I came in 5 months ago to go from very blonde to a natural brown color. I was in there for about 3 hours and was very happy with my results, paying around $280. Last week, I came in just for LOWLIGHTS and blend my roots to my color. I told her just to match my roots, easy, simply. The whole appointment was 2 hours and my hair looks exactly the same. I was charged $290 for this service and was not satisfied at ALL! I kindly messaged her letting her know, and what did she do? Ghost me :) Would 100% NOT recommend this salon or the hairstylist Brittany. Extremely unprofessional, especially after coming to her twice and paying an insane amount. read more

I had been looking for someone to do a balayage for me for YEARS. So many salon let downs - I found Maddie on Instagram and gave her a shot...will NEVER see anyone else. Well... where do I start ? I went in with grown out balayage that I had done a few months ago. It still looked great but I wanted to touch up my roots and brighten my blonde and bring it up a little. I was trying to get an appointment with Jill but she wasn't available so she recommended me to Alex. I sent Alex my inspo photos and we texted prior to the appointment. My photos were nothing unrealistic as my hair was already pretty blonde. I went in at 11 am, she applied the bleach to my hair, I sat with it for a while, she toned and rinsed. When she started to blow dry my hair it was literally all dark, darker than it was when I came in. She said "oh I put an ashy toner your hair must of sucked it up". I was obviously upset so she said she could reverse it with something called Malibu C. Fast forward it's now around 6 pm and I got there at 11 am. So she applied this Malibu c to my hair and I sit for 45 mins and she tones and rinsed again. I look down at my hair and where it's blonde I'm also noticing it looks a bit red/pink. I ask her why it looks red, she said it wasn't and that it was because it was wet. She proceeded to blow dry it. Well, I was correct. My hair was pink. Apparently the Malibu c she used in my hair is heavy in vitamin C and it caramelized in my hair very similar to the way sugar would on a stove. It looked so much worse than when I went in. She offered to fix it another day, But after that experience I did not trust her again. My hair felt FRIED. I had to go to LA (where I normally do my hair) and pay $600 for a color correction. Not only that but the hair cut she gave me was shorter on my bottom layer than the top layer so when I put it in a pony tail it looked very uneven. So my stylist had to chop an extra 2 inches to even out the back with the front and cut my hair properly. I really don't recommend going to Alex to get your hair done. Unless you want to waste a full day of your time. I believe Alex was a very nice girl just not experienced. Go to a professional. read more
