I have been here twice now and I really love it. First off, the ambiance is so great! I love how small and intimate it is. It feels classy and cute, and I don't feel intimidated when I go here!! I've gotten a facial and a back facial, and both times were so relaxing. Each time, my expert was kind and walked me through what was happening! They also helped give me some tips for upkeep and made me feel like they really wanted to target my concerns. They talk about the products they sell, but I didn't feel overly pressured to purchase! Evangalina is the best there is. I've been seeing her monthly for the past 2 years and I always look forward to my appointment. She is incredibly sweet and easy to talk to (it's like hanging out with a friend) and she is great at what she does. Jennifer was awesome! Clear and Balance with a dermaplane was fantastic. The setup is an open room not the traditional private room but it's perfect for couples/friends going at the same time. You go down to pants and bra optional with an elastic band Velcro close "robe". There's an adorable little mirror they write your name on to show which table is yours and a hook/basket for your items. Tables are comfortable with option for elevating your legs and lift you the whole way up at the end with a great warm fuzzy blanket! They carry three lines of product and a makeup line. Overall - totally recommend for your routine facial - it's still wonderful relaxing experience like a traditional spa at a fraction of the price. read more

I was incredibly sad to have to cancel my recent trip to Denver with everything going on due to covid, but we all have to do our part to flatten the curve. I was most looking forward to my clear skin facial with Felicia at Alchemy. The last time we were in Denver I went to Alchemy and she did a wonderful job at explaining all of the products, listening to my concerns and was incredibly gentle. This was my first ever facial and she really made me feel at ease. The studio itself is incredibly calming and quiet. While all of the beds are next to one another, I never felt uncomfortable - they have an area for you to change and hang up your clothes and any jewelry during your session. Fast forward to this past week and I had scheduled another facial with Felicia. While I can't be in Denver or go to Alchemy due to the closures, they are offering a facial in a box that I was able to have mailed to my house and do at home! They even outline all of the steps to make it easy to follow. Bonus: they are also doing virtual consultations and some instagram stories with tips and tricks. I cannot wait until I can be back at Alchemy, but the facials in a box will work great until I can. read more

Had a great first experience today getting a regular facial with Amanda. As Alfie and moved north I have been trying to find new studios to get my skincare done as I don't always want to have to drive way down south. I searching Yelp and saw that Alchemy face bar not only looked cute, like the type of experience I was wanting but had a lot of good reviews. The facial itself was nice and relaxing. Amanda did an excellent job at extractions; probably the most painless extraction I've ever had. There was a fun mask, I think collagen, that was super thick and goes over your eyes and mouth. An interesting experience. My skin looks nice ans hydrated. I even asked Amanda what I should book next time to work on some hyper pigmentation I have on my cheeks and she was able to assess my skin type and get me booked for her recommendations in another month. I am considering switching here for Botox too. If you're looking for a new skincare spot this is it! read more

(Forgot to leave a review from November 2022!) I got the Alchemy Signature facial here with Faye and loved every minute of it. Firstly, the space is super cool. I've never seen anything like it. Even though all the tables/beds are out in the open it still felt really private and cozy. The music was great and there were plenty of blankets and other cute details. I felt like Faye put her heart and soul into my facial, which was much appreciated as a mom of an active 2-year old who doesn't get much me time! I truly felt pampered and like Faye really took her time in completing my treatment. You could feel she cared about what she was doing. Best upper body massage, too! There is a great selection of unique products to purchase and I ended up getting a couple of things that were used on me, which I normally never do. I've been a regular customer for about 4 months now. Everyone here is great and the products they use are amazing. They are booked out so it's impossible to make an appointment even the week of so I usually plan 2-3 weeks ahead. My skin has improved so much since routinely going to this spa- and I book services that are recommended to me by each esthetician during my appointment. My favorite go-to person is now Fey. I've been getting facials for about ten years and Fry's facial was the best one I have experienced in MY LIFE. For the first time ever I fell asleep during a facial and snored. Recently visited Alchemy Face Bar for a facial. Booked the Alchemy Signature facial and it was a perfect! The facial includes decadent experience that includes a deep cleanse, plant-based peel, pore extractions, rose quartz crystal massage, décolletage treatment + mask & finishes with a 24K gold collagen mask. This facial is good for any time of year but for the current dry winter in Colorado, I've never felt more hydrated! My amazing esthetician, Fey, was thorough and knowledgeable on how to treat my skin. She explained every step and which product she was using. I even walked away with some new products to add yo my daily routine. I'll be going back to Alchemy very soon. read more

Alchemy is a gem! Their suite is the perfect mix of charm meets modern meets day spa! Everyone there is so welcoming and warm from the second you walk in the door. Sami is the absolute sweetest! She talks you through everything, and has such a calming demeanor. I had the VI Peel with Dermaplane and Microdermabrasion, as well as a lash tint and lift. My face has been breaking out, so I decided to book a Clear and Balanced Facial with Michelle. She was very kind and knowledgeable, which I appreciated. She also recommended products that would reduce the appearance of my acne. After the service, my skin felt rejuvenated and it's less congested. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming. I would consider coming back here if I visit Denver again just because of how sweet and thorough Michelle is. I'm knocking off one star because the garments they provided did not fit my body type. I am tall and plus-sized, and the garment fit awkwardly. I was able to snap it around my chest, but it would not cover my entire body. For this reason, I had to wear my dress underneath, which was not comfortable. If this spa had blankets to cover clients in an isolated room (like I'm used to), perhaps I would feel differently. Another con was the layout of the spa. There's no privacy at all. It was quite difficult to relax when I could hear people talk with loud music in the background. read more

I got Botox between my eyes and forehead on 12/11/21, it took about 9-10 days to take really take effect. I was happy and excited with the results, except for a strange deep wrinkle on the right side of my forehead that stayed. By January 20th, I was completely back to "before Botox" - so the Botox lasted barely 4 weeks. That was a huge expensive disappointment! read more

This was my first facial and I fell head over heels in love with this place! Not only do I love the idea of a quick, in-n-out facial bar (very similar to a Dry Bar), but I love that they only used organic/natural products. I had a million questions when I came in, but they were very patient and informative about what they had to offer. They have 4 tables, so it's best to make an appointment in advance, but we got lucky this day and were able to walk in. Felicia was knowledgable and friendly during my facial. I opted for the basic one for $45 (which is a steal!), and added extractions $10 and a microdermabrasion $20. It lasted for about an hour. I was comfortable the entire experience and my skin looked phenomenal afterwards! They do sell a lot of organic products there that are pretty pricey. They also sell some local jewelry and crystals. I wish they have these everywhere, I would love to come back on a regular basis! read more

I actually really love this place and had an amazing experience here. Totally would have been a monthly returning customer since I moved back to the Denver area. However, I had an appointment and got a really horrible cold and called in the morning to see if I could reschedule. They said that I would still be charged 50%, so I agreed to tough it out and come in. Later in the afternoon, I started feeling even worse (like you often do with colds), so I called again to see if I could just reschedule with the same person on a different day because I wanted to be respectful, still pay that person just on another day, and not get them sick. They said no and now the cancellation will be 100%. I said ok, I will come in because facials are so expensive and they told me I couldn't because I was sick. I totally understand that time slots cost money. I am a super loyal customer and when I find something I like, I continue to come back. I got a monthly facial at a Spavia for over a year and a half until I moved. I am sorry to say I won't be going back here or recommending Alchemy. Update: They wrote back to me via text telling me that the esthetician would wear a mask and that I could now come in. Not the esthetician's fault at all just really poor communication among management and others. Would I love to go, yes, but I feel horrible and have a horrible taste in my mouth from service whiplash. Also, the right thing to do is not get anyone sick, as was my original point. Honestly, just so disappointed. I totally get there is a policy, and I understand why, but sometime policies need a little room for a human element and some empathy. Most recent update: they are now only charging me 50%, which is nicer than 100%, so that's better just sorta ridiculous I couldn't just reschedule from the start. read more

I was a pretty loyal customer of this place for months but a couple of things started rubbing me the wrong way that I decided to go somewhere else. For starters the number of people that are getting services, waiting to get served and staff make what should be a relaxing experience loud and crowded. I never felt very relaxed and do not like the open set up where you can hear everything. Also it gets so busy that sometimes you have to wait in line to check in, wait for your esthetician and then wait again to pay. Secondly my lashes never lasted very long. Every 2 - 3 weeks I would get a fill and they were barely noticeable. I spent lot of money here and to spend to not have it last or get the look I wanted was consistently disappointing . I never had this problem at my other lash places nor the one I go to now. read more

Their facials are some of the best I've ever had (even from super fancy spas around the world) and the prices are so on point. I've tried a few different facials here and love them all - definitely recommend the blackberry detox but all the seasonal ones are fab too. Whatever you get, make sure it includes (or add) a collagen mask as that's always my favorite part - ohh and a crystal massage! This little place is heaven on earth. I started going here after moving to Denver from Florida and looking for any treatment and relief I could get for my dried out face. The dryness/change in environment had my face completely freaking out and I felt awful about the way looked and frustrated that nothing I was trying was working. My first visit at AFB was with Sami and she immediately understood my concerns and gave me the best acne-treatment facial I've ever had. I felt like she was so knowledgable and thorough all while making me feel relaxed and cared for. My face looked immediately better and she hooked me up with some samples and instructions to help me maintain. One thing that most impressed me is that she didn't try to sell me anything at the end of my visit. She just gave me my samples and sent me on my way. Such a relief to not have to awkwardly decline product. After this visit I was hooked. I came back a few times for the same treatment, and some more during my first trimester of pregnancy when I developed awful cystic acne. Sami helped me work through it each time and I always left looking and feeling much better than when I came in. Another thing that really impresses me is that you're constantly being touched during your time there. If a peel or mask is sitting, Sami is massaging my scalp or arms/hands. You're constantly being cared for. Today I went back and invested in the Alchemy Glow facial and holy geez was it a treat. I'm now 7 months pregnant and Sami walked me through everything she'd be doing, ensuring me all treatments were pregnancy safe. Again, everything was so thorough and relaxing, and my skin looks fantastic. I'm ready to be the glowing pregnant lady at my baby shower this weekend! I really love getting my facials and eyebrows done at the Alchemy Face Bar. I can absolutely say that post-facial my face does feel brighter, cleaner, and better set up to tackle the Denver winter. Felicia does my eyebrows consistently and since I've started with her, I won't go to anyone else! She manages to not over pluck or over wax and keep my eyebrows natural (but also clean). The only semi-weirdness is that it's open like a nail studio so you are next to and around people, some of which talk. I do wish that there were rules around talking during a session as I consider a facial to be a relaxing experience. I would prefer if they could close off the facial room to the entry way a little bit more as well. read more

I started going to Alchemy a few months before my wedding and though I'm now married I doubt I will stop going so long as Felicia stills works here! Felicia is awesome. My face always leaves glowing and feeling amazingly refreshed. I really appreciate when she suggests products or treatments based on my skin concerns as it always comes from a genuine professional opinion or personal experience and not to up-sell me. Also she is a very sweet and fun person to talk to. As far as the salon itself, I appreciate that they have done away with the stuffy aspects you might get at a classic spa. No you do not get your own private, dark room with woodwind music. But what you do get is comfortable beds, relaxing pop music, and clean modern decor. Treatments last exactly as long as they're supposed to, cutting out the BS and delivering quality service efficiently. I'm self employed so I often can't spend a ton of time away from my clients. But I still always leave my facial feeling relaxed and happy that I got some time to unwind. I nearly fell asleep at my facial today! I can't recommend Alchemy and Felicia enough! read more

Feeling conflicted. I did my first-ever lash extensions here this week, and had a pleasant experience. As I looked at my lashes throughout the day, I noticed a couple obvious gaps where it seemed just a couple lashes were needed to be filled in. I called back within 24 hours and explained the situation, and asked if I could come back and get them corrected. I think my whole tone, words and approach made it clear that I was thinking this was just a free courtesy touch-up. And the girl on the phone was very friendly and said "Sure, no problem - when do you want to come in?" and her attitude also made it seem like this was a free courtesy touch-up, like they do it all the time. I went in today, and the same girl helped who had helped me on the original eyelashes. I was very appreciative of her time, and I even said "You don't have to do more than you're supposed to"... letting the girl know that I wanted to be reasonable for my free touch up. And I thought to myself.... "This is so nice... maybe I'll get a brow wax to make up for the fact that they are giving me this nice courtesy touch-up." So I did. I went up to the counter expecting to pay for the brow wax, and that the touch-up was free. Lo and Behold, I was charged for a full 30-minute fill PLUS the brow wax. Mind you, this is right after I already had paid $150 for my initial service and had some obvious gaps. I had the lash fill, the brow-wax, paid and was out the door in less than 30 minutes, so there was no way I even had gotten the full 30-minute fill service that I had unexpectedly had to pay for. I obviously should have confirmed it was free in advance. But over the years, on occasion, I've called my salons for a few correctional items within a day after the service (for example, I've needed my bangs adusted on recent haircut, or have knicked a spot on my new manicure) and these businesses have always corrected them for free, as my requests have always been reasonable, I've called quickly after the service, and I've always spend $100+ updwards on these services. So I guess I never dreamed I would be charged in this case. Long story short, everyone was friendly and the space is nice, clean and relaxing. But there are many options in the neigbhorhood, and I'm not going to be repeat customer at a place that nickels and dimes me within 24 hours after a $150 service. read more

Kristin was great. My 30 minute facial actually took about 45 minutes and it never felt rushed. The set up is a bit more open than I'm used to, so don't except a private room. I did the classic facial with a microdermabrasion add on. I could definitely tell the difference in the brightness of my skin after. A group of gals stayed after their facial laughing and talking up front which a little distracting, but overall a lovely experience.
