What could this hospital improve indeed???? In 2020, this hospital was bad in 2021 it got no better. Here we are in 2026 and still at its worst. Nurse on the 4th floor tonight getting on patient face, patient having trouble breathing and nurse refused her treatment. This nurse proceeded to inform patient to relax that is nothing wrong but mind you patient just came out of icu unit but according to nurse almighty that can feel the patient pain and the shortness of breath informed patient there's nothing wrong. I hope no one ever have to be unfortunate enough to go to this hospital. God is there but he won't help you. This hospital will never score but a zero to the left because they only hire garbage. You don't want to be a nurse, why are you there? Sick people go there to get help but not from nurse Andy. This individual should never treat another person. Kendall Regional Hospital time to clean house, just because you are looking good on the outside doesn't mean your core aint rotten all it takes is one bad apple. If I could give zero stars I would. Worse hospital ever. First experience was my best friends mom who was waiting to be taken to a rehab center after surgery and they stalled 2 days because no center was accepting her insurance only for the staff to realize they had mixed up her insurance. All the while she was pleading with them to keep checking (she worked for Miami dade her whole life and had good insurance). Nevertheless it took a PCT to figure out the mishap and she was taken the very next day. New incident now...my friend went in for pneumonia, high blood pressure and a heart condition. A doctor came in to tell him his appendix surgery was scheduled.....enough said...don't take anyone here! Both incidents took place now..in 2026 read more

Trauma care was very good. Once my mom was admitted, the quality of care became abysmal. Understaffed, terrible response from the nursing teams. Always an excuse for everything, no timely answers on tests. The impression we got was that they keep you here as long as they can to extract more money without really caring properly for you. Terrible Experience at Kendall Hospital - Nursing Staff Failed to Respect Basic Patient Rights My father was admitted to Kendall Hospital with a scrotal abscess. I want to recognize that the physicians who treated him were excellent, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Unfortunately, the nursing care was the complete opposite. During his two-day hospitalization, the nursing staff repeatedly entered his shared room, turned on all the lights in the middle of the night, spoke loudly, laughed, and carried on conversations without any consideration for the patients trying to rest. There was little to no effort to provide a quiet environment or preserve the dignity and comfort that every hospitalized patient deserves. My father has significant coronary and pulmonary disease. Rest is not a luxury for someone in his condition--it is an essential part of recovery. Despite this, the nursing staff appeared indifferent to his needs and to the well-being of the other patient sharing the room. As a healthcare professional who has worked in multiple hospitals for many years, I understand the standards of patient-centered care. I have always treated my patients with dignity, respect, compassion, and professionalism. What I witnessed at Kendall Hospital was deeply disappointing and, in my opinion, fell far below those standards. Every patient has the right to be treated with dignity and respect and to receive care in an environment that promotes healing, comfort, and rest. My family's experience did not reflect those principles. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Kendall Hospital because of the nursing care we received. If you have a loved one who requires hospitalization, I strongly encourage you to carefully consider all available options and advocate for their comfort, safety, and dignity throughout their stay. read more

Stay as far as you can. My grandfather and sister in law passed away here. My mom recently went in and was sent home after being told she has fluid in her lungs. A day after my sister took her to Baptist hospital where she's been getting care for the past couple of days because what she has she should have never been sent home. This is the worst hospital. Shouldn't even be open and running. If you want to live go elsewhere. Wish I could give it no stars. read more

Disabled Veteran - Hospital Lost My Wallet & Keys I was admitted through the ER and transported upstairs after being admitted. During that process, hospital staff took my personal belongings, including my wallet and car keys. They were never returned. No one can explain where they went. No proper documentation. No urgency. No accountability. As a disabled veteran, I trusted this hospital while I was vulnerable and under their care. Instead, I left dealing with canceled cards, stress, and unanswered questions. If a hospital can't keep track of something as basic as a patient's wallet and keys during admission, that says a lot about their internal processes. Extremely disappointing experience. read more

First i would like to say my experience was not with all nurses just 3, Dr lakay, nurse manager Robby & a nurse resident in ICU 3rd floor. My elderly mother has been here since the 21st, her HEMO was low along with other issue.m. She also received a blood transfusion. Her codnteral line bleeds once or twice a day & nurses change it rite away. On the 24th night shift 10pm it was bleeding again, my mom's resident nurse was downstairs doing a MRI so her backup (resident nurse stated she shud be done in 30mins....12am still not changed & nurse not back, (resident) nurse stated Dr lakay wants to remove it instead. I asked if i could speak him. She said ok he'll call. Time now 6am STILL NOT CHANGED! I asked the nurse she stated Dr lakay said to leave it for morning shift they can change it!!! Asked to speak to nurse manager not available! Morning shift came in very nice & understanding NCP Evelyn changed it @ 8:20am! I've NEVER seen so much neglect in my life!! I made a complaint with Ms sally. Half of the employees walk in the room don't greet you , identify themselves they speak another language amongst each other, very rude! Kudos to these nurses Janice, Stephanie, Nola, Evelyn, Alejandra:) for doing the best they can! read more

My partner and I got admitted on 1/9/23. We were involved in a freak accident, we were walking out of Auto Zone as pedestrians. A car took a curved turn and hit my vehicle causing my vehicle to spin out and hit me while I was outside about to get into my vehicle, my vehicle hit my partners vehicle and she was pinned from the drivers side to another truck beside her. Shortly after I was on the floor , my partner was able to move from the area where she was pinned and was able to make it inside to ask for help, shortly after she falls on the floor. Rescue comes and takes both of us into the WORST hospital I was ever admitted to Kendall Regional , located on bird road. As we go into trauma center , we have a CT SCAN done and none of the results were shown to us. We were just placed in separate rooms, given medicine , anti inflammatories and antibiotics for our injuries. My partner got about 20 something stitches on her right leg by the calf , 3 on her right arm, and Pelvic fracture on her left side. Bruising around her arms and legs. My injury was 2 fractured discs on my spine, my entire right side bruising and lumps, causing numbness to my right leg because of the pinched nerve (I couldn't move my leg on or off the bed unless I had assistance). Bleeding on my head , lots of neck pain, had a neck brace for a few hours. Alongside with tons of bruising around my entire body. We were in trauma center for about a day and half, since they seemed to be at full capacity which isn't the hospitals fault. Rooms weren't maintained by cleaning crew (photos attached). After several people helping us in trauma, the only team of people who provided attentive service in the trauma center were Joanna, Trevor and diana ( Trevor and Diana are from stroke unit, however they were helping out the hospital since they were a bit short staffed and overwhelmed). In 1/11 there was an RN that assisted and worked her magic in placing us in the same room once we were admitted up stairs. She was extremely attentive and was demanding the team to give us all the assistance we need (unfortunately I did not catch her name) . The only bad experience I had in trauma was that I was placed on MPO so they didn't let me eat for 9 hours. Shortly after come to find out at 11pm at night that they weren't sure why I was placed on that , the communication was HORRIFIC in there. After those 9 hours I was able to eat, did my MRI and was taken back to the Trauma center. On 1/11 we proceeded to moving into our rooms 429D & 429W. Rooms were new, clean and the TVs were brand new. I was discharged on 1/11 towards the evening , which baffles me because I was still not able to do movements with my right leg, my leg was asleep and walking on it was hard. I was only seen by an occupation therapist when in trauma for about 10 mins. No explanation on stretching was done, nor was I seen again. I feel I should have stayed for a day or two more that way i would have been provided proper treatment. Although I was discharged I did stay with my partner that way I can be emotional support and stand by her through these hard times. The only thing I would say is that the team in stroke unit is not able to handle any of our injuries unless TRAUMA is present, or sends approval. Sometimes it would take hours to get a response. My partners right arm had an extreme allergic reaction and all she was given was 1 doses of Benadryl and saline to clean it. Before and after pictures will be added on here. After two days pass and we complained about the rash getting worse they prescribed a steroid and a cream (hydrocortisone) for it. Finally some action was taken. Now it's drying up and hopefully heals properly. If it wasn't because this was the closest Trauma center near our accident, I would have preferred to go to another hospital. This place needs some improvement on a few things, it's not most of the workers fault. However their communication and ability to fix things right then and there are pretty bad. Only reason why I gave 3 stars is because of the workers here. But they deserve a five stars! Lastly, thanks to our Case Manager in Stroke unit Carlos, my partner is being discharged today 1/15, after being here for 6 days. He's worked his magic and she will be doing outpatient for the rest of this week and be moved to a rehab next week. A BIG Thank you to all those of you who made our experience way better , couldn't have done it without you , you were all very sweet and attentive!! Peña de Infante, una persona de edad avanzada y con discapacidad. A principios de abril de 2025, fui mal guiada por alguien que se presentó como profesional médico afiliado al hospital, quien recomendó dar de alta a mi madre para enviarla a un centro de rehabilitación específico. I am writing this review after an extremely distressing experience involving the care of my elderly and disabled mother, Dolores L. Peña de Infante, at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital in April 2025. Before her scheduled kyphoplasty, Dr. Marcos Osorio, who I understand is a resident physician, personally contacted me and recommended transferring my mother to a specific rehabilitation facility--Palmetto Subacute Care Center. He spoke with the authority of an attending doctor. Trusting that advice, and believing he was acting on behalf of the hospital, I followed the recommendation. That decision resulted in my mother being subjected to substandard and neglectful care. Within nine days of being at the recommended facility, she developed a pulmonary infection, had to be rushed back to Kendall's ER, and suffered significant harm. What's even more upsetting is that I reported the entire incident in detail to hospital leadership, including Dr. Osorio's involvement. Despite my efforts--writing formal letters and providing supporting documentation--I received no response, no follow-up, and not even an apology. I am sharing this because families deserve to know about our experience. I trusted the hospital and its staff to act responsibly and ethically. In this case, that trust was seriously broken, and no accountability has followed. I truly hope changes are made to ensure this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

the staff was amazing! we were there for 6 days and they took great care of my father. very attentive and friendly. even though most staff was spanish speaking, they all spoke english very well and were able to communicate clearly with us. we were not their typical client, which are from a cubano background, we never felt unwelcome and left out. the facility was a little older, but equipment was modern. we were admitted into trauma and move to intermediary care unit. thank you for helping us out during a trying time! read more

The staff at HCA Hospital were incredible. They were patient with me took great care of me and listened when I spoke up and asked questions. The level of service I received far surpasses the treatment I've gained at Jackson Health or even Nicklaus Children's hospital when I was younger. My stay was okay, but my real issue is about the lack of customer service. I have been trying to get in touch with a case worker for my bill and all I get are voicemails without a call back. The very last time I was finally asked my room number which I do not remember, it's been a month since then and was told that there are different case workers for each floor after being tossed around. I still haven't received any communication. read more

Never come to this hospital. Chose anywhere else but here. If you want to be left alone in a room where nothing works, no one comes back to give you the results of any exam they have done or give you the medication. Some of the staff were extremely nice and Professional. My brother was admitted in the 3rd floor, I stayed with him because he was not doing well, physically and was disoriented. At c 2:45 am about 6 staff members came marching in, moving things and throwing everything making loud noises and talking to each other, preparing to move in a patient. There was no care for my brother and his need to be calm. They were almost screaming to each other totally disregarding my brother's situation. And disrespecting his privacy to rest, not showing any remorse for the process. THis type of bringing in a patient in a room at 2:45am is unacceptable and pure disregard for the care of another human being. I hold the hospital TOTALLY ACCOUNTABLE FOR THIS PROCEDURE. I had heard this type of horrible situations before and would not brought him to Kendall Hospital but it was the closest hospital fir an emergency. I DO NOT COMPREHEND THE LACK OF CARE FOR A VERY ILL PATIENT. VERY SAD SITUATION. I gave it 3 stars for the excellent service and care of 2 nurses, Andrea and Yanelis. read more

Went here this week for an infected finger in the early AM. We parked at one of the many spots near the ER entrance. They checked us in right away, there was nobody else waiting. They put us in a room and the nurse came in right away, but his English wasn't that great. Though, he immediately tended to me, checking my blood pressure, etc. The resident doctor came in within an hour to ask questions and diagnose. He ordered an X-ray and other items. I told him I wanted to make sure my insurance company will approve to pay for everything he was suggesting. He sent in a hospital overnight admin and he was pretty casual. When I told him I want to make sure the insurance company will pay for all that was being ordered, as we had a terrible over billing expense of $5000 at Doral ER over just a sore throat swab, he said, "I don't do that, that's for the day shift people". Well, that wasn't much help, was it?! The main ER doctor came in and she was also pretty casual. She cancelled the X-ray and said I just needed antibiotics. She said she would give me a prescription, and one dose of antibiotics for now. After waiting over 90 minutes for the paperwork, there was no antibiotic dose for the day, just prescriptions. When I asked the resident doctor why the change of plan, he just said after a consultation with the other main doctor, they will not be giving me a dose for the day. How confusing! The last thing I wanted to be doing is going to the pharmacy at 4:00am, but they obviously didn't care. In summary, I was there 3 hours and experienced staff that were far too casual and not interested in checking if anything ordered from the doctor was covered by the insurance company. You will have a billing issue because doctors here charge you multiple times for same payment the hospital clerks say they do not have a billing department in the hospital. When I call their "real" billing department which is outsourced unprofessional customer service agents, these guys ask me to go to the hospital. They are just pushing me back and forth. The most awful hospital experiences at this God awful place in the world. The nurses are so mean. They treated me like an animal. They discharged me December 24th, 2020 with an infection on my right leg. They discharged me with no follow up. They dropped at the lobby of the hospital at 9:30 pm. The nurses especially were all heartless. They didn't come when called for help for over a 2 hour period. They only came when I pressed the code blue button. And when they showed up in a pack I with a terrible attitude yelling and chastising me. I came close to losing my right leg because of their lack of care and follow up. The last 5 days a doctor did not even come to check up on me. I was just looked after by the MEANEST, CRUELEST & ANGRIER nurse ever. If I ever have an accident near Kendall Regional Medical Center I would rather bleed to death than ever go back to that God awful hospital . read more

Awful!!! RUN AWAY!!! The rumors are true, you will not receive competent medical care here. I had a provider tell me "why are you so concerned about your grandmother she is going to stop breathing and die anyways" My grandmother was inpatient and it took 3 days to get an echocardiogram performed. 12 hours for an ABG to be done. A CT scan took over 4 days to be done. Totally unacceptable. I had a provider Felipe Beltran, APRN refuse to go into the room and actually examen my grandmother saying "she's fine." Meanwhile, he has irregular/labored breathing. Totally incompetent. Despite multiple requests to not do so, he also proceeds to discuss my grandmothers case in the hallway when we did not want others to listen to her medical condition. Also took him 1 hr 30 minutes to treat a change in heart rhythm. Talk about lack of competence. Mr. Beltran also had the audacity to tell me, as above, he doesn't understand why I am so concerned because she's eventually going to stop breathing and die. This hospital can change its name, but what will never change is their trash approach to treating patients. My dad was taken there at 8am to the emergency room for some issues he was having with his blood pressure. They decided to admit him to do further analysis but left him in an ER room. He was in an ER room for hours, he got the additional testing completed in his ER room, and then was told he couldn't be seen by a doctor or get results until he's in an overnight room with an overnight team because he is not being cared for by the ER team anymore. Whole in the ER a doctor did kindly come in to explain to him the situation and then mentioned that he can be discharged as long as the echo results come back normal. Everything else looks good. Hours later, he's given a room and finally got his results. They told him everything was normal, would need a medication adjustment and will be discharged. After that conversation they told him that they'd like to keep him the night to do an MRI. At no point was the MRI mentioned or required. He said with his results being normal, he's like to proceed with being discharged. The doctor then THREATENED him by saying if he chooses to leave she will not give him any care instructions (even from the previous doctors he had seen). She also mentioned that she would not run it through insurance so that the insurance would not pay for the bill. They let him be discharged, but refused any prescription or discharge papers and did not take him out in a wheelchair. So after the entire day there, the numerous conversations he had with many doctors, they discharged him with zero guidance. This hospital is an embarrassment and a horrible example of how any 74 year old man, or any person, should be treated. Seriously so bothered by this entire experience read more

This hospital should be investigated for fraud, my wife went to the emergency room due to high blood pressure and they changed her medical report as if she had been admitted for a heart attack, she spent three hours on the emergency floor where the pressure was stabilized and that cost 12,000 and in the In the same place, a student destroyed both of her arms trying to draw blood for the laboratory, where for a week and a half she had pain in the joints of both arms. They put her in a room for a day and a half where my wife told the doctor more than once that her blood pressure was fine and that she wanted to leave because she didn't understand why they were doing so many tests for her heart if she entered through the pressure. The doctor does not care at all what the patient says but my wife accidentally heard what they were saying to the nurse and this was her comment the patient does not have to say anything you (I am the one who decides when he leaves) what she Say don't pay attention.
