After being transferred to Naples Community Hospital, they placed a drain to relieve pressure and a coil to stop the bleed, but they were unable to complete the procedure. I was then transferred to the Neurological Intensive Care Unit at Miami Jackson in Miami, Florida, where I had the privilege of being cared for by Nurse Denise Cooks. Denise is truly exceptional. From the moment she took over my care, she went far above and beyond in every way. She is deeply committed to her patients and treats them with genuine compassion and professionalism. Because I had no prior knowledge of this type of injury, her detailed explanations of every treatment and procedure were incredibly helpful and reassuring. She took the time to make sure I understood what was happening, which made a difficult and frightening situation much more manageable. After five days of being confined to bed, a friend planned to bring his future wife to meet me the next day. Denise went the extra mile by agreeing to shave my face so I would feel more presentable. She did an outstanding job, and that simple act of kindness meant the world to me. It is rare to find a nurse who not only provides excellent clinical care but also shows such thoughtful, personal attention. Denise Cooks deserves to be recognized and rewarded for her extraordinary efforts. She is a credit to Miami Jackson and to the nursing profession. I cannot thank her enough for the outstanding care she provided during one of the most challenging times of my life.

They wasted a whole day of mine that I could have used to start the healing process faster. Then after my surgery I found out that someone during my procedure chipped my teeth and it most likely was the doctor. Everyone working at the hospital was complaining about the other employees at the hospital. They seemed to not tell me the truth at the hospital and they could at least admit that they did something wrong and tell me why instead of trying to hide things or not be transparent. The nurses were complaining about their schedules and saying theywere scheduled for the next day then they were not. The nurse at the hospital tried to put anesthesia in my hand and made me bruise so much it lasted a week the bruise. The hospital itself is telling me they will not pay for my chipped teeth and that there is no proof they are chipped when I took timestamped photos and they did not take any because if they did then they would have to acknowledge what they did wrong so they don't bother to even take photos. Don't even bother emailing you they will just call you a liar and make you even more upset and tell you you perceive things. Disrespectful and disgusting

The staff from the emergency room to the floor were cool and didn't harass me if I stayed past the 8 pm curfew. They made sure he was provided with information and addressed his pain or concerns timely. He was beyond ready to leave as they were ready to kick him out and after a 2 week stent he was set free. The orthopedic surgeon did wonders in getting his leg repaired. I was impressed that let his baby and my little one come up to visit with him. The crazy thing is they actually count the kids as 1 of the 2 allowed up at anytime. He was in trauma 3B

I have read the bad reviews and they're probably from non locals. I have been to other hospitals…read morein Florida and some are newer and cleaner and they don't have doctors. This one has some awesome surgeons and nurses. The rooms are great and they're clean. The waiting areas get a lot of traffic as most patients have more than one person with them. Speaking Spanish is a plus as they will always speak Spanish to you first. Parking is in parking lot is $1 for every 20 min max $8 a day or valet. They do validate which brings the price down a bit.

Sole MIA location charges for a HOSPITAL visit PLUS outpatient services rendered that day. For ear pain my husband was billed for hospital AND outpatient services totaling nearly $9000 ! A UM Sole Mia ENT looked into my husband's ear and retrieved a tiny piece left from an ear plug. Done. Antibiotic drops prescribed. "Hospital"charges were over $5000 and outpatient facility and additional $3000 + totaling about $9000! IMO this is a terrible abuse of their patients needing care. Shame on UM Jackson. How is this even legal?

They did not even let me in to the clinic I wanted to go because I needed to de the registration and when I tried To do the registration they said I was paying almost 200 dollars evnt though my insurance themselves called and said I did not had to pay anything. From the moment…read moreyou check in to check out everything ran seamless which is hard to say for a doctor's office visit. The front desk Patient Access Rep. was quick, friendly and kept everything confidential. The doctor, Dr. Carbunar is a genius and I actually felt like she cared and took her time to acknowledge my family members condition. Hopefully you don't need to come here but if you do, I recommend this neurology office. They accept multiple insurance carriers and self pay as well. Parking in at the garage next door at the CRB building. There is a fee to park there but 1 hr should be $3. They do not have a private parking lot and there is also street parking in the surrounding area.
