They did a decent job on the interior and exterior highlighting all the potential issues and issues but fell short on the inspection of the crawl space. The gentleman poked his head in and took a few photos and just said the access was to small but it appeared to be good in their. And the supports looked good. He wouldn't crawl in because the entrance was about 12inches and "the standard is 18"). On the exterior there are pretty decent cracks on majority of all the crawl space vents that surround the perimeter of the house. MY NUMBER 1 concern with the house were the cracks in the foundation and they couldn't crawl under.... When it comes to inspections of homes the inspector should be capable of crawling under no matter how bad it might be. I paid full price for what I feel was a 70pct job. Now that I'm getting quotes of up to 6k for someone to put in support beams and post because all of the support underneath is failed I feel that is unacceptable and should have been confirmed and made aware of at the time of my inspection. 2 people have crawled under there since with zero issues. Albeit the entrance is small but it opens up! The tenacity was good at first and I don't want this to be a bash fest! I hope for future inspections they take the time to evaluate the property in full and prevent situations like this.

You are basically paying the owner Robbie to spend your money training his employees or students (rather than spending time with the homeowner). I was at work and depended on him to give an accurate assessment of the inspection to my wife. BAD IDEA. I would not leave my wife with him during an inspection again. I wouldn't mind him training his students but he didn't even go over major items found during the inspection. At the inspection he said only little minor items found so we waived our inspection contingency based on what HE said but now is blaming us. Not until I looked in detail at the report did I discover major items that should have been brought up as red flags. For example, one of his documents noted "acceptable water pressure" to be between 40 to 90 psi. The reading he took a pic of for our house was barely 30psi. Also noted was water flow was very low and "indications of a DEFECT in the water supply". Had I not analyzed the report, we would have never known. We were left scrambling to figure out what to do since we waived our inspection and had no recourse with the seller for the defects before buying the house! We wasted our time and our realtor's time to get resolved. When confronted, Robbie only gave us excuses and now is blaming us for the poor inspection. We waived our inspection contingency because of what HE told us, let's get that clear. Contrary to what Robbie says, my concern for low water pressure and water flow is NOT a personal preference or an opinion. It was way below the standard MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE industry range (even says that in his own documents). When confronted, he even said that was way too low for his home and had to fix. Now he says it's beyond his legal requirement as a home inspector to tell me. "indications of a defect in the water system" his company's words in the inspection report. Why would you not mention during or after the inspection and leave it to homeowner to find out. Because they were wrapping up to go to their next inspection is what he told me the reason he said only minor issues found and it's up to us to let them know we wanted them to spend more time with us to cover the issues. How are we supposed to know?

Additionally, it wasn't recommended to install a vapor barrier when it is currently code. AND, no mention of rodents in report, which were obvious to me. I would not use or recommend this inspector again.

Had to call these people more than once to get taken care of. I just felt like with the cost of this reroof, replace gutters it should have been done in a little more professional, prompt fashion.

Complete re-roof on my home in Ocean Park Wa. Including tear off & replace of rotten OSB with…read moreplywood sheathing, 1,700sq ft. Michael's quote was by far the lowest I received. One quote from a local contractor in Ocean Park was over $7,000 more! and the nearest quote was 2K more so being weary I stood outside for two days and watched closely every step of the process, Everything was done top notch right down to the bituminous ice & water shield. Michael's crew showed up ON TIME @ 8:00am sharp in Ocean Park from Longview so they had to be loaded & ready to go @ 6:00am. After checking in with me & my wife the crew covered up the few plants and bushes around the house then the whole gang including the boss attacked our old roof. The weather the first day was typical misty drizzle so they worked across the roof with a huge tarp but they really didn't need it because they worked a system where as the old sheathing was removed the next guy checked for nails & debris then a few guys came right behind to nail down the new exterior plywood to the trusses. That night all the new plywood sheathing was down with asphalt paper on top so it could have rained and all would have been high & dry. Day two the first of the guys arrived early again with the 30 year architectural roofing. They started hauling the packs up on the roof and placing them. By 10:00am everyone either was swinging a hammer trimming shingles or cutting in vents. Fortunately the July sun was out the second day so the shingles were flexible & easy to work with and most important so they would lay down nicely & seal. They were totally done with the truck loaded up for the dump by 4:00pm. I'm not sure what the code requirements are inland here in Kelso but on the coast they require an adhesive backed asphalt ice & water barrier be installed around the entire perimeter of the roof and that was done as well. Every three tab was nailed down by hand and plenty of vents were installed as poor ventilation was the root cause of the premature failure of the original roof system. Unfortunately due to a injury I can't do high work anymore but I'm confident the work done by Michael and his crew was done with the same attention to detail that I would have done and a whole lot faster! I waited several months to post this review because the work was done last summer and I now can say with certanty after months of heavy coastal wind and rain the job was done perfectly, no issues whatsoever. I've written one paragraph reviews for purchased products on Amazon & Ebay but never felt compelled to expend the effort to write a detailed account like this. I would have been satisfied with this level of workmanship from any of the contractors I selected but to get an outstanding roof at a budget price was so totally unexpected I felt I needed to let it be known.

We are purchasing a new home and wanted to make sure that everything was completed as advertised by the builder, so we contracted with Russ at HD Home Inspections based off a referral we received and we are SO very glad we did ... you might think, "Why have a Home Inspection, your house is new?" ... to be answered ... Russ was punctual, offered several different modes of payment, and was extremely thorough in his report. We had it done two days prior to our initial walk through and we had the complete report - 46 pages including photos - that same afternoon ... We sent a pdf version to our builder who was expecting the report ... Again, "Why an inspection?" ... when we had our walk through two days later, EVERYTHING that needed to be fixed (top to bottom) was already completed and the builder went through the inspection page by page to verify!! It was a HUGE blessing to have this tool ... We left our walk-through blown away at how easy our final walk-through is going to be next week ... I hired Russ based on my realtor's suggestion and his thorough and clear website. Russ was able to accommodate the time and date that I had requested. I was not present for the inspection since I lived out of state at the time I needed the inspection. Russ provided a detailed report within the day of the inspection. I don't know how he could get it done so quickly, but he sure did. I had two follow up questions that he responded to right away. His customer service is on a par with his expertise at doing the inspections. I was able to pass on the report to my builder and will, hopefully, get the corrections made before moving in. read more
