They started taking off the old roof. By the time I came home from work they were putting on the new roof. They replaced everything with water damage too. Day 2 was finishing up anything that needed to be finished. By the time I came back from work they were cleaning up. I think my driveway is cleaner than when they first came. James Hayden was easy to work with, honest, delivered on everything he said he'd do. His father was also reassuring and gave suggestions about decisions we needed to make. Both were so professional. James also confirmed what we wanted, making sure we didn't change our minds on anything. Everything looks great! I'm beyond happy with the outcome. So glad we didn't go with anyone else. He told me he would have someone out to inspect the roof and determine the cause for the leak. I had to follow up several times, to which he said he had people out due to covid, but made no attempt to get by to inspect their work. Funny, because the roof was still under warranty, that he then tried to deny. I ended up having to hire another roofing contractor, because I had water leaking into my house causing plaster damage, to fix the issue. They did not caulk around the chimney flashing and installed 2 pipe boots incorrectly. If I were you, I'd think twice about hiring this company.

It's been over a month of waiting and was just told me they cannot do get the job done. Unprofessional and unreliable. They don't call you back. Give you the runaround. In this case, the behavior of this company was so egregious that I have to warn potential customers. About two years ago, our roof was old but we never had any leaks. Our former contractor recommended John Gilmore Roofing Inc. Our first mistake was that we didn't research the company first but rather accepted the contractor's recommendation. Immediately following the installation of the new roof, we had a leak in our living room ceiling right after the first rain. Mike, the roofing foreman whom we got to know quite well, redid some of the roof shingles. A few months ago after much rain, we had puddles on our living room floor from the same leak in the ceiling. Mike repaired the roof shingles twice but the leak persisted. Finally, my husband and our current contractor found the real source of the leak. Mike came back, agreed, replaced a lot of rotted wood and did some very messy but thorough caulking. Mike assured us many times that John Gilmore, owner, would reimburse us for the repair of our ceiling which by this time was in bad shape. After our contractor repaired it, I called John Gilmore to explain that I would send him the invoice for reimbursement. He blasted me, saying that I exaggerated everything, was not paying us a dime, told me to take him to court and hung up on me. Neither he nor Mike would return any of my husband's calls. And our roof is still under warranty!!!! AVOID THIS BUSINESS.

I gave 4 stars for their quick response but failed 5 stars for doing subpar job at first.
