I was NEVER kept informed of hours being charged. They billed my credit card for $6031. They will not return my calls or emails. Will not do anything now that they have my money. I have contacted BBB & filed a complain with the Utah State Bar.

This update to my original review of the law firm of J.D. Milliner is in response to J.D…read more Milliner's post of 9/2/2020. J.D. Milliner claims that my review of his law firm was largely based on information obtained from a rather unreliable source. I find this to be quite comical considering I based my review on my own personal interactions with the employees of his firm along with emails as well as invoices that were sent to me for payment of his firms work both when I was in fact a client of his firm as well as when his firm was retained to represent the client that his firm represented at the time this review was originally posted. These emails and invoices covered a time span of close to one year and came from the attorneys and employees of his own firm. I based my review of his law firm on what was supplied to me by his own employees as well as the personal interactions that occurred for close to one year with the employees and attorney's in his own office so I guess in essence J.D. Milliner is telling everyone who reads his reply to my original review of his law firm that his employees are the rather unreliable source that provided me with the information that I based my review on. J. D. Milliner states that the billing practices and procedures of his law firm are clearly set forth and that his firm provides detailed monthly statements each month to their clients. I also find this somewhat questionable considering in December of 2019 I personally disputed 2 invoices in a meeting with J. D. Milliner that were submitted to me as well as the client that was being represented by his firm due to unclear and questionable charges on the bills that were submitted by 2 of his attorney's that were working the client's case he refers to at that time. The result of the dispute was J.D. Milliner himself making the 1 particular bill in his own words "Go away" J.D. Milliner also states in his post that he must follow the instructions of his actual clients or withdraw from the representation of that client. This statement also comes into question due to the fact that the client he is referring to in this case submitted to him along with the attorney assigned to represent her as well as the paralegal employed by him a detailed letter that contained written and precise instructions of what the client wanted J.D. Milliner to do regarding their representation of her as their client. 6 days later the client in question received a letter from J.D. Milliner and assoc. informing her of their decision to withdraw from representing her as their client. In the letter that was sent to the client one of the reasons that was cited for withdrawal of representation was due to the bad review that I had posted here regarding his law firm. In summery it seems that the law firm of J.D. Milliner and associates retaliates against the clients they represent by withdrawing from representation of them when anyone associated with that client exercises their right to free speech and the right to review his law firm regardless if the review is good or bad. I felt like my injuries were bottom priority to this firm, and getting them paid was top priority when it came down to it. "Just wait" they said. It's been nearly 2 years and I'm still waiting for them to get their act together so I can get the surgery needed from a car accident. Money was top priority to them all along, not getting me fixed and back to daily life. After this experience, I Would never recommend this firm to anyone. Delay, after delay. No sense of urgency for injuries to be fixed. Missing documents, excuses and broken software in their office. Deadlines forgotten, and excuses made every time Double billing not getting caught by them. Pointing it out and still slipped through... Now things got worse... and still waiting on them. And now interest charges adding up. And no cares from them; as long as they get paid. At least they were honest about wanting maximum settlement money up front. I just wanted to get by body fixed. But 2 years damages things even more. Had issues with getting my car fixed, and they would not help with the ins. Co. I was on my own to deal with everything. - "Just Wait for the settlement" they kept saying. Well after the docs they sent me to to get simple diagnosis, and their cut... nothing left of this supposed settlement for the actual care I need. All they did is held the bills from doctors and waited for the ins to issue a check. I heard they were great. That's why I chose them... But that's not what I experienced. Delay after delay. Ball dropped again and again. No concern for this clients wellbeing If you decide to go with these guys.. good luck, you'll need it. Or maybe they're good to some people. Well I'm one they neglected. And I don't appreciate it. They made a bad situation worse in every way.
