I have head mixed results with dog groomers. I love the one in Lake Arrowhead Village, but she usually booked out almost two months. So I decided to give Head to Tail in Crestline a try. I got a same day appointment. My dog, a Siberian Husky, was full of dirt (she loves to dig) I dropped her off and picked her one hour later. She looked fabulous, super clean. The staff were very friendly. The shop was clean and tidy. This is where I will be taking my dog from now on. I highly recommend Head to Tail! read more

Love love love this place. Tony and his staff are great!!! They are kind hearted people that clearly enjoy what they are doing. We brought out shepherd in for the first time and they had her all sparkling clean in 45mins. They have the best prices in town and do an outstanding job. Phenomenal grooming shop! The most caring owner and folks working there. I have a special needs dog and they were perfect with him. They even helped carry him back out to the car! WOW! I am extremely impressed with Tony and the customer service! I called that morning in hopes for an appt and I was in the shop in less than an hour dropping off my Yorkie! Most places take at the least four hours but Tony promised me an hour. I was skeptical......she was done in less than an hour!!!! I was amazed! Her haircut was exactly what I wanted and could have hoped for. The prices are very reasonable and he will ask for specific input as to how he can perfect the cut!!! This place is wonderful! We live in Crestline part time. Our poodle developed a nasty wound on her shoulder. We had never seen anything like it. We were concerned it may be a tick bite. The vet in Blue Jay refused to see our dog after giving us an appointment so we took a leap of faith and took her to Head to Tail to see if a groomer could determine if this was a tick or something else. We are so happy we did! Head to Tail inspected both of our dogs for ticks and determined they were free of ticks are her wound was some kind of lesion. They cleaned up her wound, gave both our dogs a bath and groomed them. Our dogs have never been so clean and beautiful. We were treated so well here..........got in almost immediately. They were so kind and helpful. We have a new groomer in Crestline. Can't say enough nice things about Head to Tail Pet Groomers! read more

Tony works on both of our Pekes and does an awesome job. The dogs are at ease around and he is always very patient and careful with them.

I dropped my English bulldog off, he is not trained as we just got him. I was a bit nervous, but the guys working were so welcoming! I called morning of and got an appointment 1 hour later which I loved. It only took them 1 hour, which I also loved. They treated Charles so nicely, when I went to pick him up they told me how his behavior was and even walked him out to my car for me. We are defiantly coming back! I have to say this is my absolute favorite place! Not only is it great priced, Tony is so caring with my Daisy. She always comes home with her ears cleaned, nails trimmed, and with the closest attention to detail on her coat. This is the only place I will go when I'm in California. read more

I took my skiddish dog here to be groomed for the first time and they were so good with her - kind and gentle! She is afraid of new people at first and especially men so they were sure to have a lady who works there on hand to give her a bath! They took the time with her to make sure she didn't have a traumatizing experience! They care about the wellbeing of the animals there and that is what is important! Very unsatisfied customer. The Owner was very rude and did a poor job on my three dogs. I called and asked what the fee would be to groom my three dogs as I always add a tip. I was told that my dogs would be done in about an hour and a half. Husband and I went to breakfast and got a call and was told that the dogs where done. We went to find that dogs where not done and to take the one of three who was done, home. I was then ask if I had checked if my dogs had gone potty? I said no , they weren't doing the potty dance so I figured they where fine (Note the sarcasm was intentional, then he cut my American Eskimo like a poodle and cut so close that his butt was burned. He claimed my other dog was mean, Ummmm watched him finished the last dog an there was no aggression at all. Went to pay and he upped the price $40.00. Really bad experience and I will never put my dogs through that again. read more

Tony is awesome!! I took my dog to another place in Crestline once. Once. My dog came out smelling worse than when he went in. I took him to Tony and now, that's the only place we go! this was my first time there. i needed to stay with my dog and they were very accommodating. i bathed him as it was less stressful for him to dry at home. we also do his nails and glands. i was a little suprised that i paid the same price i used to pay for full service however i will definately return. leslie did a wonderful job and in a short time. tony was very patient with me on the phone when i had questions and expressed my needs. i definately recommend them for your grooming needs. thank you. read more

I adopted a Yorkshire Terrier from a shelter that cut his coat too short to help treat and prevent fleas; his skin was dry and it needed conditioning. For two consecutive months I took him to Tony but didn't cut his hair so it could grow out to the typical Yorkie style. My other dog, a Manchester Terrier never needed more than a bath, but I took him with the Yorkie so they'd feel more comfortable together. I'm sharing this because I would only trust this business to wash and dry my dogs. We told Tony that we trim their nails with a dremmel at home weekly, so their nails didn't need trimming. The first visit he told me he trimmed them anyway and the quick was very close to the surface and they bled. I explained to him again that the nails didn't need to be cut. The second visit he listened and left the nails alone. On the third (and final) visit a week ago Tony cut and split a nail of our Yorkie, he was still bleeding when I picked him up and got him home. On the last visit a "puppy cut" for the Yorkie turned into a third-rate hack job of a beautiful coat, it was uneven, too short and choppy. This was the first cut we had for the Yorkie at Head to Tail and it looked like an untrained novice did it. Luckily, I have the option of using my normal groomer closer to home, but it would have been nice to continue to support a local business with polite and kind employees when I am at my second home. read more
