I don't recommend this place to anybody, this is the second time I take my 4 month old teacup Yorkie & I am very unsatisfied. The first time wasn't bad, but the second time was horrible! I had left. No lie was gone for only like 10 min when they suggested for me to come back when he was ready & they'd call me. It was legit 10 min later! [[HIGHLIGHT]]As soon as I walked in, the lady in charge referred to my dog as the "devil" at first I thought it was funny because he is very afraid of the groomers & even gives us a hard time to bathe him! But, he's a PUPPY![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I asked if she trimmed his nails & she said no, I offered to hold him while she did that. Pretty much the only thing they did was bathe him, trim his front hairs by his eyes & charged me for full service. What really bothered me is that when I picked him up, he was terrified, shaking & was totally out of it for 2 whole days! DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! I have a Giant Schnauzer that has been going to this location for years. I became her new owner this year and continued to bring her to a location in which she was familiar and had successful washes and hair cuts. However 2025 is clearly a new yet horrible year at this location. The first time I took my sweet girl for a wash and trim (what I asked for) she ended up with more of a cut. She still had the Schnauzer beard and hair on her unclipped ears, it was just shorter than I asked. I let that go and brought her back for another wash and this time a cut as her hair had gotten really long. As a family we had been washing her ourselves and brushing and combing her hair. Her ears get matted easily and she definitely had a knot on the back side of each ear, that only needed to be cut out and she would still have a lot of hair. As for her body combing was never really necessary as is it is beautifully wavy/curly. Her beard was a mess from eating but nothing a wash and a little combing couldn't handle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When my husband dropped our girl off some older lady that seemed to be new as she was not familiar with our dog and I'd never seen or dealt with her before, got on the phone saying she was matted so she'd have to cut her down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I assumed she meant underneath her body, under her beard and the portion I knew that was matted at her ears. So I said ok. But it was known that we didn't want her not looking like her breed Giant Schnauzer. When I say I was so upset when I picked up my dog. She didn't look like herself at all. Came out looking like a greyhound but black with her snipped tail she's had since puppyhood. My eyes filled with tears of anger, but I paid (more than my first visit)and left. My poor dog has gone from looking like a big curly hair loving Giant Schnauzer to a thin hound looking dog that seems to be self conscious if that's even possible for a dog. She's constantly scratching, shaking appearing sad. Her whole personality has changed. Not only were her beard, ears and body completely shaved down but its a horrible uneven cut. We never knew what her skin/scalp looked like until now. Its seen in so many random spots on her body. You can see lines from the clippers. Her 'potty parts' are completely exposed. In random spots you'll even see long hairs. I'll leave out the choice words My husband had about the whole ordeal, that he spoke to only me. However when my two daughters got home first they thought we had a friend's dog over. When our dog came and gave them her 1 paw hug, they knew it was her but came to tears, both my 8 and 11 year old girls were upset. Needless to say we will not be bringing our sweet girl back to this location. I even showed her original owners and they wondered what was going on at this location as they never had an issue. I'll leave my opinion about the location and the workers out of this but know the job was horribly done and it will take several weeks for our girl to look like her beautiful self. Very disappointed. Wasted money, that we could have used elsewhere. read more

This place was awful, I took my lab here for grooming and honestly she came home and she looked like she did not have a bath, a few weeks later she was scratching and I could tell she was very uncomfortable so I called a Moble grooming and she looked beautiful when she was done. I thought something was wrong or I was about to get the "upcharge." NOPE! Yesterday I took my 2 dogs into have a basic wash and groom and paid 160 + tip. When I picked my dogs up the groomer mentioned that my younger dog only had his nails cut on his foreleg but didn't mention any problems. When I got home I noticed my puppy constantly lick his paw and when I inspected it I saw that he was bleeding. The groomer had cut his nail to the quick and didn't mention anything when I picked him up, nor was any medicine put on him to stop the bleeding. I called the shop looking for answers as soon as I saw his injury and they haven't reached out to explain their side or apologize. I was really disappointed at the demeanor and treatment of my dog by the staff. I walked in to get my dog's nails cut and he was getting a trim while I waited in the front. At the beginning of the service, his nails were cut by an employee who had to stop because she got a cut on her finger from either the sharp nail or the nail clippers. The woman who was holding him then took over the nail clipping while the other employee washed and cleaned her finger. The woman who took over was so incredibly mean to my dog I could not believe it. My dog is 10 years old and has never gotten into any fights. In fact, when encountering an aggressive dog he will not defend himself at all. Given his temperament, I have never ran into a problem with taking him to get a nail trim or bath before. Usually the staff compliments his manners and how sweet and gentle of a dog he is. That was not the case for this appointment. The woman that took over yanked my dogs legs, yelled "no" repeatedly when he tried pulling away, and even hit him on the nose. I couldn't believe what was happening, especially directly in front of me. My thought is always, "If they are treating the dog like this in front of the owner, how do they treat animals when no one is around?" I could not believe the lack of professionalism with this employee and it seemed like she didn't even like animals. After paying for my service, I thanked the woman and asked for her name. She responded with "Mickey", please DO NOT let her handle your animals. If you are the business owner, you need to seriously reevaluate the staff you employ. I would not trust this woman alone with an animal, and it was amazing to me what she was willing to do in a room full of people. It takes so much for me to leave a bad review for a business, but I genuinely feel that the welfare of animals is at risk. I was extremely disappointed and will not be back. read more

Honestly I have came here for the past 4 years off and on my first few visits were great and my last 2 experiences have been disappointing I write this review disheartened because of the mix experiences. The first time I felt a red flag when my dogs came back very distraught and had a some cuts from haircut grooming I assumed it was off day and accident didn't complain but still felt uneasy. So i didn't take them back for almost a year I did use another groomer in between and they did great with the new groomer temperaments when back home were normal, excellent efficient service but that groomer was far from me, so in which I decided to give Golden paw the benefit of the doubt and try them again due to my history and not base my 1st negative experience on my past few years with this location so I scheduled an appointment and take my dogs for a full grooming. Which now is to my last most recent experience as of last week. I was told I had a 10am appointment and didn't get a call back for my dogs until almost 4pm so that was upsetting and also I was told pricing had went up ok fine no problem, but when I got my dogs home I noticed the haircut on my male was maybe rushed he had multiple long hairs on his genitals that looked like it was missed so I had to cut them off him myself. Then my female had uneven haircut and has burns from the clippers on her stomach and I don't understand how this was poorly executed their haircuts are when they had my dogs for almost 6 hours! And now my male hasn't been acting the same he is pooping in the house when he wasn't doing that prior to his grooming visit at this location. If you go and look and my review from 4 years ago I would have definitely referred Golden Paw Grooming and actually have sent family friends in the past. And now I am warning pet owners to protect their dogs and wallets from this facility. Quality and compassion has definitely declined for the worse I will never go here again let alone based off all other one star reviews on here they seem to never accept accountability and blame owners unfortunately so that is probably the response I will receive as well. So save your response please and work on learning how grow from negative feedback and better your facility and work ethic or you will continue to lose loyal customers like I once was. I have a golden doodle which needs a lot of care. I asked them to save as much curl as possible. I realize her back was matted a little, but not the rest of her body. I was shocked to find my dog shaved with the exception of her ears, and half her tail. the shave was uneven, missing some spots. I'm not sure if they know how to work on doodles. I don't think I will be taking my dog back though it may be great for other dogs, but not mine. read more

First time here and I absolutely love this place. 1. I called to make the appointment and Mickey was professionally friendly and super accommodating. 2. I took my doggie and Mickey immediately began to play w her and I was surprised to see that my doggie felt at ease and comfortable. (She normally doesn't like going to the groomers). She even started walking around everywhere wanting to explore. 3. The location is beautiful and open. You're able to see where the dogs get bathe and where they get their cut. They even have a play area for the doggies, which I thought was super cute and a nice touch. 4. They're super quick! Overall, I love this place bcuz my doggie loved it. I'm always concerned about leaving her anywhere but seeing how my doggie interacted w them made me feel secure about leaving her. I really wanted to like this place as we just moved to the area, but after today's incident I can say I won't be returning nor would I recommend anyone coming here. I called at 10am asking if they had availability and was instructed to bring my terrier dachshund in at 11. Upon arrival, I instructed the groomers about my dogs dismissive behavior when his hind legs were touched per a previous injury. I was told he would be done 3 hours later, which would be 2pm. I arrived at 2pm and was told they had just washed him and there was a delay because of appointments ahead of him, since he was considered a "walk-in" even though I was instructed to come in at 11. And that's it. I called back an hour later at 3pm and was told all they needed to do was clip his nails. I walked in and they had yet to clip his nails. My dog was in a muzzle and the owner walked towards me and asked if he had an issue with his front paws being touch and I said no as I've never had an issue, but apparently he gave a "warning snip" as the owner called it once his front paws were touched. Again no other groomer has said this. Then I found out why. As I was being closed out the owner asked the red head if she had told me about his dew claw. Of course she hadn't. Apparently in the hour from the time I called to the time I showed up, his dew claw was clipped on his front left paw. Well no wonder he was upset. I didn't get an apology. Nor did I get a reason when I asked how or why it happened. I called my Vet and they instructed me what to do, but I shouldn't have to clean blood off of my dog. And the overall hair cut below satisfactory. His paws were not cleaned up, his paw pads were not shaved and his anal glands were not expressed. read more

I love taking my pups here. Titán (dobermann) can be a handful but I know he's in good hands. Both Kyra (malinois) and Titán are always so shiny and smell good. One of the many reasons why we continue to go to Golden Paw because Titán is skin sensitive and he would come with a rash or white specs after being groomed at other places and at Golden Paw Titan's fur/skin is always left so healthy. i will not be coming back here and pray you save your dog as well. i just recently moved and was looking for a new groomer in town. My dog is a 9 year old multipoo and has closer to poodle hair texture when it's not blown out. this is usually not a problem for my usual groomer but here i heard nothing but excuses. the groomer told me she had some matting where the harness usually is and i agreed that i saw some but she also told me that all over the top was just regular curls. i told her if she could just a short cut on the under belly but leave everything else long. She convinced me it will be better to do a summer cut but that she won't be too short and she'll give her a cute teddy bear face. None of that happened nor was I made aware that we were going shorter than originally discussed. as you can see it almost down to the skin and her face is completely uneven and pointed. even the back of the head was taken up all the way to almost the middle of her skull, there was also so much hair in her eyes it was hard for her to open them. after all of this i was charged $75, and told that if maybe I take better care of her hair next time they can keep her fluffy. I won't be coming back. i'll pay the extra gas to take my dog 20 miles to get her regular haircut. read more

DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE EVER !!! The groomers man handled my dog , my sweet dog who never bites. They called and said we need to pick her up immediately because they were close and that was not true at all. I got there and they were sitting on there phones. What ever you do don't take your dog here , my dog also had hip surgery and she is very old. I can't believe they did they did this to her. Please do not take your dog here. Yes we took our dog back and I watched the groomer cut her , she was very scared and timid the entire time. She did not try to bite or growl at the groomer what so ever.
