I went here because it looked like it had good reviews. I asked for a straight across blunt haircut and when I was unhappy with it I got argued with my both my hair dresser and the male hairdresser next to my station. So unprofessional, rude, and unnecessary. I went to pay and my hairdresser wouldn't say anything even when I tipped her. Anyways I was so unhappy and came back and another girl listened to me and fixed the front. I explained to her that I was very unhappy with the way my hair dresser and the male hairdresser dealt with the situation. I've never been to a place where the hair dresser didn't hear their client out and tried to fix the situation. I've also never had a hairdresser argue with me, especially a hairdresser that isn't even mine and is taking care of another client. The lack of professionalism and willingness to listen to their clients really upsets me and I do not plan on returning. read more

Most horrid experience for $150 ever had. Not even close to what was requested, very uneven cut, they are oblivious to needs just push tipping hints & products. Do not trust them to go back & request correction on cut. Color was just nothing. Rachel Bolding cut my husbands hair and it looked fantastic! We were both very pleased with the end result. She was professional and fun. I showed her a picture from Pinterest of a guy's haircut and she said, No problem. Apparently she specializes in men's haircuts. She also does women's hair and up doos. She was very thorough with the haircut and really paid attention to detail. She even trimmed his eyebrows and it really looks great! We will return to see her at the Head Masters Salon. She is now going to be the stylist for my husband because we will not go any where else. 5 Stars for Rachel!! Update, Rachel cut my son's hair too. His hair has gotten way too long. My previous stylist relocated, and I was in desperate need of a new one. This salon is so awesome! They have a fantastic website. Each of the stylists has a short video telling you about themselves, and their background in the industry. Every single stylist is amazing! I booked an appointment with Rachel because she likes to do pixie cuts. She did an incredible job, and I loved my hair so much! I will definitely be coming here regularly from now on. The salon itself is extremely clean and beautiful. They carry a great range of products as well. Everyone is very nice, great salon! read more

I'm not the type to usually write reviews, but thought I'd share my thoughts. I thought the staff was pretty friendly for the most part, and the establishment was clean, however my hair looks AWFUL! I recently got it colored and it's honestly the worst color job I've ever had. I had better results from doing my own hair from a box in middle school. I didn't think it was bad when I left the salon, however when I got home and looked at the back and pulled it half up, I realized I had orange splotches and tiger stripes all over my head. And my blonde is not pretty, it straight up yellow. I'm truly embarrassed to be seen. Unfortunately I now have to go elsewhere and pay another $150-$200 to get it fixed. It's pretty upsetting, especially that I was not told that some of the color didn't take, and had to discover it one I got home. I won't be going back and would not recommend. read more

I had the worst experience I have every had at this business. This business, for me, would get a negative 5 score. I couldn't post this without picking a Star. They were not helpful... Not at all. When I came in, they said I would have a15 to 20 minute wait. An hour later I was still waiting. Don't lie to me... If it's an hour wait then tell me. I will then determine if that works in my time frame. I saw 2 ladies talking at the back of the store not doing anything. I left. There was one hairstylist who acknowledged me and gave me some water. He offered to cut my hair but I had requested a shampoo and style and as he was coloring another clients hair, he was unable to help me. He was the only one who was kind enough to at least speak to me. When I left, he did say, "I'm sorry." I will NEVER enter that establishment again. And I will let all my friends and family know as well. read more

The ONLY place I will get my hair done or any of my girls. It's Not a fast process because they do what needs to be done for your hair. Appointments are highly recommended because they are always fairly busy and walk ins will wait unfortunately but they try very hard to get everyone in as quickly as they can. Early in the year the Bullard location made a very difficult decision. Close!. My heart goes out to all of those affected. One of the displaced Bullard girls is now with Tyler location. Stylist LINDSEY HUGGHINS. She is a stylist who knows her sh%!, she can Camo like nobody can. I dislike Camo so much it hurts! Permanent color is the only way to go!!! Well not any more! This extremely difficult man who only allowed two others in the Salon one being the owner the pure pleasure of dealing with me! Has found his next Stylist!!! I had a wonderful experience getting my hair cut at the Headmasters Salon in Lindale. I am so glad I found Jhoanna - she is a true professional. In her soft-spoken manner, she made sure throughout my haircut that I was pleased with the process. She suggested products for my hair type (after I asked) without giving me a hard sales pitch. I was impressed with her attention to detail and her focus, and I was so pleased with the results. Such a positive attitude! It is such a challenge to find a new hairstylist, and I am tickled that Jhoanna met the highest of standards for me. Finding a good hairstylist is one of the most important choices you will ever make in your life and I hit the jackpot finding Headmasters! Marissa is my stylist and she is the best I could ask for! She is a sweetheart and incredibly talented with hair. Getting my hair done was so relaxing, everyone in the shop had a great attitude and you can tell they appreciate having your business by the friendly way they treat you. They will give you a complimentary soda or glass of wine while you are waiting. All equipment like dryers and shampoo stations are state of the art and the decor is wonderful. And most importantly, my hair turned out amazingly. I have a hard time explaining exactly how I want my hair to look but Marissa was completely on top of it, she knew exactly what I was talking about and I walked out of the salon feeling like a million bucks. I called to see if they may have charged me for an additional service and was told they call me back, 3 and a half hours later I called again and was told someone would call me. I have had my hair cut at HeadMasters 3 or 4 times. My last visit was around 2 weeks ago. Previous cuts were well done, and satisfactory. However, my last cut was subpar for this salon. It looked good at first, but after returning home and after a shampoo, I noticed a large gap on the left side towards the back. Not so noticeable with styling gel, but very noticeable with my hair dry. I also noticed lines in my hair where clippers were used. As a man with reddish-blonde hair, I totally understand it can be difficult to cut my hair without showing lines and gaps. I do not expect perfection, but this cut was really bad! I will not name the stylist, as anyone can have an off day. I get that. Other than this, a really great atmosphere, and really great people. Maybe not the place for us "older" guys to get a new hair style. Seems mostly geared towards styles for women, but, still better than the competition. read more
