Awesome massage! Classy environment with excellent music selections from classical guitar to harp and flutes. Therapist was in tune with my body and highly focused. I had circled the lower back on the right side on my intake form, however by the time I hit the table, the tension had shifted to the left side. I came here because I had a spa Finder gift card for my birthday. I arrived at 10:58 for my 11am appointment and was told to fill out paperwork. I questioned if this would cut into my massage time and she said " you were supposed to fill this out before coming" which I had no idea about. Anyway needless to say we started at 11:09. (Took a picture of the clock.) and ended at 12:01. Don't tell me that this was hour massage. But the worst part about everything was when she put cold lotion on my back with ice cold hands. This place should be called. "Healing COLD Hands" If you have the audacity to charge $110 for an hour massage and not even being an hour, you should at least invest in a lotion warming machine . Since re-opening, HHM can't keep their scheduling and payment systems online and have cancelled MULTIPLE appointments without any notice. Imagine showing up excited for your massage only to find out they cancelled and didn't tell you! and to make matters worse, the owner refuses to apologize or do anything about it. When I was able to get in for an appointment, they were good. They have therapists who specialize in different modalities. I had several negative experiences with Healing Hands canceling appointments without properly contacting me, or rescheduling last minute without having a therapist actually available once I got there. If the appointment is meaningful to you...e.g. a celebration, or a much needed relaxation massage you need to manage them and confirm your own appointments. read more

absolutely horrific experience. the massage therapist had no idea what he was doing and I left feeling no different. it is really wrong to employ people who dont know what they are doing. massgaes are not cheap and at the very least I expect to feel a bit better when I leave. He also would not stop talking to me throughout the entire service and had a air purifier right next to my head blowing cold air on me the entire time. I wanted to get up and leave so many times but I did not want to be rude. I am going to try and get my money back. dont come here. read more

I was fortunate enough to discover Azira at Healing Hands in Berwyn about a year ago. (I actually almost hesitated writing this review because my friends and I, all of whom find her to be beyond compare, love her and would like to keep her to ourselves.) However that wouldn't be fair. Azira knows what she is doing - she has a physical therapy background and because of her expertise she knows how to moderate what she is doing based upon your body and your needs. Plus, she is just a lovely person. She is a rockstar! I can't say enough about her-she has saved me when I was in excruciating pain a couple of times - and I go to her regularly because I feel so wonderful after I've left. Super disappointed. Tried to set an appointment up by calling only to be on hold for 20 minutes before hanging up, then I went to their "live chat" to schedule- never got a response. Finally, I tried texting them which resulted in their delayed response time and they then offered appointment times and then said they had already been taken after I said I would like them. LivingSocial had a deal for a 60 minute massage so I jumped on the opportunity even though I couldn't find any reviews. This is definitely a no-frills type of place. They converted a family home into a massage center which works well; however, I immediately noticed a cat smell upon entering. It wasn't the best first impression. Smell aside, my massage was amazing; very enjoyable and relaxing. I'll probably buy another LivingSocial or Groupon deal if one is available, but I don't think I would pay full price. read more

She explained to the masseuse where she was feeling tight and she said her masseuse was very intuitive with where and how much pressure to apply.
