Very nice small nail salon just outside of Peterborough town center. The owner, Misty, is very nice. Got a good pedicure.

i've been going to the salon since it opened and Misty has been taking care of me since 2003. I am a diabetic and my feet are in excellent condition largely because she has taken care of them and her knowledge base. The cleanliness of the salon is and I have to go somewhere because I'm an organ transplant recipient as so I make sure wherever I go very clean. It's the only place I feel safe having my nails done. read more

I wish I had read the reviews before making an appointment. I would not recommend this salon for mani or pedi. Overpriced for what you get. I have never had a worse pedi and mani. Definitely not worth the money I paid. It was quick and nowhere near what I get at other places. One coat of nail polish and no base coat. Do yourself a favor since you are paying with hard-earned money and go somewhere else. I thought maybe it was because I was out of town and they figured they would not see me again? But, I read the other reviews and do not think that is the case. Not sure, but I was very disappointed and would not recommend this salon. read more

Nothing really terrible here. But the pedicure was not worth $40. Pedicurist cut my large toenails at an angle and they look tilted! No base coat, one color application only, and there is no place to sit and dry nails. The chairs are uncomfortable. Color was sloppy and I had to come home and use an orange stick to clean polish from skin around the nails. The 'massage' was nothing special. Pedicurist was unfriendly and uninterested. Place looks shabby but fairly clean. There are better places in Peterborough. read more

There is a reason I drive 45 min to get reflexology at Healing Hands. The first time I went there the practitioner, who is also the owner, did reflexology on my feet and said she felt a blockage related to the left side of my body. She said she felt was "working its way through" and asked me how I was feeling. I told her I felt fine, which I did at that moment. I went out to dinner and then home, but the very next day, I was in excruciating pain, went to the hospital & was diagnosed with a kidney stone on my left side! The stone eventually worked its way out within a day, and I was fine. My experience at Healing Hands is that they are professional, friendly & know their stuff when it comes to reflexology. The salon itself is beautiful and pristine with tons of cool little things to buy or just look at. It's like a cool gift shop wrapped up in a professional salon tucked into a super relaxing atmosphere, all locally owned. Highly recommend! read more

I had a manicure and pedicure here earlier this fall and was so unimpressed. No hand soaking and no cuticle care at all (I was told they weren't allowed to trim cuticles due to the possibility of cutting them and causing infection...never heard that anywhere else). I chose a light color polish for my fingers which I often do, and it was poorly applied (no base coat and ended up streaky, which hasn't occurred elsewhere). The place also just doesn't have sufficient space (no place to sit and dry nails, nothing to put feet up on for pedicure). I won't go back. read more

Terrible work, bad customer service. I booked my french manicure for my WEDDING here and drove away in tears. First of all let me start by saying that I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 14 yrs now so I know very well how the industry works. I was about 10 minutes late for my appointment (less than 10, but I'll be generous), I received attitude from the nail tech immediately who also informed me that now she only had time for an express manicure which I told her was fine. At my salon we book at least an hour for a french manicure, possibly more for a bride. Here they only book 30 mins which is definitely not enough time for even just the manicure.The express manicure she gave me was completely rushed and not good work. I wish she would have been honest and told me she really only had time to polish instead of giving me a crappy rushed service. She didn't even turn the brush sideways so there was not a clean line at the tip and the polish was also so thickly applied that it could never properly dry. She then rushed me out to the reception area where she expected me to stick my hands in my purse to pay. I had to ask her if I could wait to let the polish dry. As I sat there waiting I got more and more upset and angry at the quality of the service I just received. I could have easily done a better job myself. After about 15 mins or so I tried to get my wallet out and still messed up my polish. The receptionist could tell I was upset and asked if everything was ok, I showed her my nails and she said she could see what I was talking about. She offered to have the same girl redo them if I was willing to wait. When I told her I was not willing to do that she said, " well then I don't know what to do". I asked how much, paid my bill without tip and left. I had to call a friend and make a emergency appointment first thing the next morning to have them fixed. It was an hour drive each way. They saved the day though. I never would have let a client walk out the door of my salon that unhappy without trying to make it right somehow, especially for her wedding. Shame on you. read more

Very lovely, cute little place. The girls were pleasant and friendly. My friends and I went about a month ago and got pedicures and gel/shellac manicures. The "pampered pedicure" was mediocre due to lack of quality put into it. Little filing of toenails and no cleaning up of cuticles or bottom foot scrub. My heels still felt rough when leaving. The manicure was ok but there were noticeable bubbles. No cleaning up of cuticles either. I'm used to a lot of detail being involved to making my hands and feet look groomed and pretty. I didn't feel that way leaving this place. read more

Definitely recommend, love this place so much. Been coming here for years and all the girls are so lovely and they absolutely make you feel at home. Very clean and they do amazing on your nails. They put the most care and effort in to your nails. They have more than just nails too, they sell a bunch of cute things and take time to check out the building. I definitely liked this place! My friend and I wanted to get our nails done one day so we went here. My nail polish lasted a long time without chipping. The only thing is that we called here a few times to book an appointment, but nobody called back or answered the phone. So we ended up just going there the time that we wanted the appointment and told the owner about it and she was very understanding. I will definitely go back here! I went here to have the organic spray tan and I was very disappointed! It came out awful. The girl missed spots, hands, feet. I had dark streaks and lighter area (I did exfoliate well before having it done). My face was supposedly done but I couldn't tell at all. Such a disappointment and waste of money! I had a full set of nails put on at Marissa's in Keene (Pink and whites) and she did an absolutely horrible job!! I went to her based on the reviews and I have to say that either those people don't know what good quality workmanship is or they were paid to give a good review. First off she quoted me a completely different price when I called, after I was done and had to pay, the price suddenly went up by $20 and she charged me extra for pink & whites... so $65 dollars later I went home on my Birthday, no less, with the worst looking nails I've ever had. In less than two weeks, two of them had fallen off. I went on line and found Healing Hands and made an appt. for a fill. I had Taya and she did an absolutely amazing job! My nails look so natural and look like a brand new set. I wish I had taken a picture of the other set that I had done @ Marissa's so I could do a comparison because it is like night & day. Healing Hands is so inviting and the employees are very friendly. I really felt comfortable there and the way my nails look now, I would have gladly paid $65. Taya only charged me $35 for the fill, no extra charge for pink & whites or the broken nails. They look like a brand new set of nails. If you want quality work and beautiful results, come to Healing Hands. If you want shotty service, overpriced, disappointing results (basically if you want to throw your money away) go to Marissa's in Keene. I am going back to Healing Hands for a spray tan this weekend! I went to Healing Hands for the first time today & loved it!!! I had tips with overlays put on at another place 2 weeks ago and was not impressed at all. The young girl that fixed them today was awesome, i'm going to recommend them to everbody. I will go there from now on knowing I'm going to be very happy when I leave.
