Instead of opting for the famous cortisone shot, I took that cash and went all in on acupuncture- and that was the best decision of my life! I knew really nothing about acupuncture. I just knew I was sick of screaming and crying in pain. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't sit, I literally would scream in the car after a mile. I went two times a week for three weeks, then once a week.. And after about eight sessions, I could sleep again. I weaned down to even just once a month, and now over a year later I can just go in for a tune up. One time i threw my back out on a Thursday, and he fixed me up to leave for my two week vacation by the following Wednesday within 4 appointments. Good things take time, because I didn't have to go back. Brian and his wife are two of the friendliest, most kind and knowledgable people I have met in the field. I find myself living in SoCal without them, and decided I had to finally write this overdue review. Brian's treatments changed my life. His passion and desire to keep learning and to grow his practice are so apparent, you can't help but feel like you are so lucky to be in his care. Only note for others who might find stairs challenging -- her office is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. She asked if I had anything in particular I wanted to work on, and got started. My feet are usually so ticklish, but they weren't at all during the session! Throughout, Mary Ann told me which pressure points correlated to which parts of the body - so fascinating. I could definitely tell when she hit the points that correlate with where I hold tension: my neck, shoulders, and lower back. It was a soothing and relaxing session, and I learned so much. At the end, Mary Ann even showed me which parts of my hand I can press on myself when I'm feeling tension in certain areas. When I called, I was asked to wait in a janky suite with a sofa down the hall while they finished their current appointment. Fair enough. I waited there until 4:45. When I called back, I was told there was now a new customer that had materialized and was asked if I would like to make an appointment. I was very excited to find a massage place nearby.
