For the first couple of times, he forgot to ask me to pay, or I forgot to bring cash, and he trusted that I would be back and that I would pay him. He takes insurance, which is good because otherwise it would be too expensive for me. I have been seeing him for about 2 months for on and off shoulder pain and just overall well being. Overall well being probably takes some time, but my shoulder seems better. I still have pains sometimes probably due to poor posture or poor sleeping positions. His business hours are until 6pm but I've seen patients go around 5:30, but I wouldn't want to take advantage. He's probably too nice and to say no! I usually go on weekends and it's not hard to get an appointment time. Sundays can be a busy time. Saturdays at the Burlingame office seem more quiet. Both offices are clean and well maintained. Dr. Zhou speaks mainly Mandarin with me even though I speak Cantonese. At first I was a bit uncomfortable that he didn't understand me and I wouldn't understand him. In general, it's harder for Mandarin speakers to understand Cantonese. But over time, I hear other people speak Cantonese with him and he seems to understand. I've also learned to embrace this opportunity for me to practice my Mandarin. And I pretty much understand what he's trying to say to me. I would recommend Dr. Zhou. I just hope he doesn't get too many patients that makes it hard for me to get an appointment time.
