Or maybe because you just fucking deserve it. Go. With that being said, my amazing experiences here have been due to Melissa. She's the masseuse that I chose based off of her bio. Their website lists all of their current masseuses, accompanied by a mini bio that lets you know what they specialize in and gives you a little bit of an idea of their personality. I am sure that they are all wonderful, but I ultimately went with Melissa and I was NOT disappointed. What's also great about their website is that everything is there, black and white. Rates are all listed, as well as their services. The bios, like I said, tell you which service each masseuse has specialized in. Melissa really listened to what I needed. Each time I bought 75 minute massages and I asked myself each time, why I didn't get a 90 minute. They also offer 120 minutes, which I haven't seen many places at all. Anyway, she not only listened to me, but she catered to what my body needed. And she remembered that I kickbox, so that actually made me feel special; like she cared. Why are you still reading this? What are you waiting for? Go treat yo-self!! Need more convincing? Prices are totally competitive and worth it. Don't do what I did and get a Groupon for a massage. You pay for what you get. And my last Groupon massage experience was a nightmare. This place is clean and tranquil. Most importantly she doesn't talk through the massage. It's truly, amazing and relaxing. Located in Bay View. Parking is on the street but I've never had an issue with this. My goal will be to go once a month if my budget allows. They also offer $20-30 off for returning customers who want to buy multiple massages. They run deals sometimes. I bought a sweet package for me and my fiancé. Best. Decision. Ever. Very disappointed I booked a 30 minutes session, around 2 weeks ago an paid ahead. I had an emergency the day of the appointment and my mind was not in the right place so I forgot since I never got a message, email or call as a reminder. I paid ahead of time so better not call to stay with the money than actually try to reach the customer before time, they call after 15 mins to tell me that I missed the appointment but not thought of calling before. I never missed an appointment before, but consideration does not seem like one of the values for the company. read more

Honesty check...yes I go here every four weeks for a massage. I have been getting regular massages for the past 15+ years and it was disturbing when my therapist of over 10 years moved away. Healium took over and honestly I never looked back. Typically I go to Jeanne but will take Aubrey if Jeanne is booked and I really need a massage. I like to stay with one person because they get to know your aches, pains, etc. There are multiple therapists there so ask about your massage style and they can make a recommendation. If you get enough massages hopefully you are lucky enough to have one phenomenal experience that becomes the massage all other massages are judged by. Unfortunately for me I had that experience on my first massage 15 years ago. While all massages are special and unique that one set a very high bar that no others had come close to, until my trip to Healium. Ben, was my massage therapist, and he is a very talented professional. Good amount of checking in on my comfort without being distracting, offered complimentary aromatherapy options, hot towels and stones, and did a great job addressing any issues I communicated. Office is tight but they have made it very welcoming and safe. Rooms and tables are comfortable. Mask was required in common spaces but not during massage, although Ben kept his on throughout. read more

Started taking yoga classes at Healium Wellness. Only taken the Hot Yoga. The room is nice and small. The temperature is around 105 and the humidity is close to 40%. Since it's a small room you, get more personal attention from the instructor. they have rental mats and towels. Sign up to save your spot for the class. It seems like there can only be 15 people practicing in the room. I, myself, feel better after taking class. I only do it twice a week. And again I have only taken the Hot Yoga class. But sweating out all the toxins is a great way to start or finish your week. read more

I come here every once in a while if I want to books a massage at the last minute or if I have a Monday off & my usual spot isn't open. The massage was good - I had no complaints about it. There was a just the right pressure in all the right spots. But the issue was the masseuse I had kept in sniffling during the whole massage. Was greeted and within seconds had the therapist RUDLY walk away and blast music in the lobby. While another employee followed me to my car asking inappropriate questions. Doesn't seem above board. I am a big fan of these women and feel compelled to give a special shout-out to Ingrid, a massage therapist I went to several weeks back. I signed up for a 90-minute massage, thanks to a discount they offered for purchasing a gift certificate. What a treat! It was my first time seeing Ingrid, and I will swear by her from now on. I felt very comfortable, she used just the right amount of pressure (I like a lot) and she stretched out key muscle groups by moving my body into specific positions for maximum benefit. Tried eastern massage for the first time with Sasha and I am just so ecstatic that I did. I have serious back and neck pain from frequent work travel and constant and computer work and it's currently relieved. Normal massage typically reduces the pain and lasts a few hours. I've been going to Healium every month for about two years, and it is not your typical massage place. Each person has additional training in areas that interest them. It may take a few tries to find the person you best jive with, but that's okay - the therapists at Healium encourage you to work with other therapists there. It's not a competitive environment. They may even recommend someone who is better suited for the goals you have. I specifically work with Ingrid and Amber and LOVE them both. They are both learning more about their craft all the time, and I think of them as artisans in massage. They do massage because they love it and want to help you heal whatever is causing you issues. They want to know about you, and they provide recommendations, resources, etc. I am someone who really likes that. I also love that at Healium every massage utilizes whatever may be helpful for you - for example, there is no such thing as an aromatherapy massage or hot stone massage that costs more. These things are included in your treatment if it makes sense for why you are there or if you request them. I'm proud to have such an awesome place in Bayview :). read more
