They're a small shop located in the 4th Street Market in the hallway. I ordered a milk bubble tea with regular boba. The main issue: it was so watered down! It did not have that "bubble tea consistency" that so many other boba places have; it was super thin. This just felt like I was drinking flavored water, but even the flavor aspect was lacking. Additionally, when they called my name to hand me my drink, they informed me that they were out of regular boba so instead replaced the regular boba with mochi boba. Only thing is, they didn't replace it with mochi boba; they replaced it with something completely different. I really wanted to like this place, but based on how watered down the bubble tea was, I just don't see myself coming back here.

The instructor was friendly and informative, teaching us the step by step process to fermenting tea to get kombucha. He was really patient with all our questions and encouraged us to experiment with different flavors, even providing a Scoby to kickstart our home brewing! There were four flavors being sampled, and my favorite was definitely the Yuzu - crisp and refreshing, with the perfect level of carbonation. I also really enjoyed the Bloom flavor, which was infused with blueberries. He mentioned that they have limited edition flavors, which they switch out from time to time. They are available at local farmers markets and have a brewing room in Huntington Beach you can visit. Overall, great kombucha and I want to give a special shout-out to the excellent customer service provided by the instructor.

Her attitude was dismissive and unhelpful, no apology or effort to make it right. What makes it worse is that my order was marked completed by the time I got to my car, even though I never received anything, and shortly after, the store was suddenly shown as "not accepting orders." It really makes me question whether she was being honest. I understand technology issues can happen, but the way I was treated and how this situation was handled was incredibly unprofessional. I left with no order, no apology, and a bad impression.

Charismatic salesman, Arturo, ran through his spiel of the available teas/drinks, touting all the health benefits of each. Hmmm... I'm a bit skeptical but I also grew up drinking my mom's brews (though I'm not sure if I benefited health-wise of her tonics). ;-) Golden Milk ("high quality" blend of turmeric, Vietnamese cinnamon, & pure ginger) caught my attention because of the health benefits of turmeric & ginger... though I use both for cooking (turmeric for curries & ginger for veggies), not to drink. :-O I was a little concerned about tasting turmeric since it's often used in Indian curries. Since their samples were blended with vanilla almond milk, the milk masks some of that turmeric & ginger pungency. In fact, it was quite smooth & tasty! =) Arturo touted the golden milk's benefits such as digestive discomfort, anti-inflammation, pain relief, cardiovascular health, weight loss, etc. I suffer from joint pain/discomfort due to old age, added weight, etc. so I'm hoping this miracle milk will ease some of that. He seems confident that I will be returning soon... well, let's wait & see. I plan to taste a daily dose for 2 weeks to see if there's any difference, & let you know in a follow-up review. According to their website, turmeric is "famous for anti-inflammatory & detoxifying properties, wonder remedy for injuries, joint pain, & toxin build-up." Vietnamese cinnamon is generally safe when used in amounts commonly found in foods, according to MedlinePlus. Cassia varieties of cinnamon -- including Vietnamese cinnamon -- contain significant amounts of coumarin, which is linked to potential liver damage. :-O So if you have liver disease, it is recommended to avoid dietary supplements containing cassia cinnamon, but using cinnamon for seasoning should be fine. When using herbs or supplements, it's best to talk with your doctor before consumption. Well, it's been a couple of days & I have yet to notice a difference... too soon to tell. But I do enjoy my daily cup of Golden Milk each morning to start my day. :-)

Young, vibrant, and excited team members make the drive-thru experience really nice. Honestly? The energy is so high. I'm assuming they do coffee shots between customers. This particular Dutch Brothers was right next to the hotel I was staying at so I walked across the street to grab some morning coffee. The first thing I noticed was the parking lot had all these blue dividers. At first I thought this was some sort of compact car drifting course, only to discover this is the way that they manage the traffic going to Dutch Brothers. That alone should tell you about the popularity of this place. I chose to do the walk-up window, and was greeted within moments by young guy that took my order. Very friendly. Very fun, and chatty. Really made the experience. Awesome. I ordered a cold vanilla latte and a poppy seed lemon muffin top. My order was up in less less than 3 minutes, again, completely impressed. Bottom line? I have never been to a Dutch Brothers that did me wrong. Everything about this is a five-star event. If there's one near you, and you haven't gone, you need to rectify that situation immediately!
