Well for beginners, Dr. Tomchick is great and the review unfortunately is regarding his front office staff. At one time it was a pleasure going there the team was great but, staff has changed and they are horrendous. They don't answer phones they neglect faxes and email requests. Definitely do not look to help anyone that needs to see the Dr. on short notice not feeling good etc. After more than 19 years I think it's time to switch only due to staff. As I mentioned Dr. Tomchick is very good but the staff kills his business. The office offers weight loss solutions and other services. It's a shame the staff makes it a bad experience. read more

It took half an hour in the lobby to wait. Another 40 minutes in the patient room and counting. Unpleasant front desk. I was directed to make a lab test in Quest Diagnostics by them. I called Quest, they said they don't do it anymore. Health Circle insisted I can do it there. I had to go Quest physically to confirm they don't have the test. Unprofessional and slow. read more

The staff is extremely rude! I have private insurance and went for a check up and was advised i needed a vaccine and that i had to pay $55 for it. The male at the front desk stated i could submit a claim with the insurance to get my money back and After leaving the office i decided to call the insurance and the insurance did a conference call with the billing person in the office who did not even know the medical code for the vaccine and left the insurance rep and i on hold for about 30 minutes. In her horrible and poor english she asked the insurance if they covered the vaccine and my insurance stated that they do and that they needed to reimburse me the $55. The office did not even apologize, its been 2 week and i haven't receive my money back! And on top of that the rude a** manager Mayra sent me a letter dismissing me from their practice and didn't even declare the reason. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

If you want a rude ass medical staff, waiting three hours of your day in the waiting room come to this place. 1st impressions go pretty far with me and this one was insane! Theres a little old lady who looks like she did lots of drugs in the past as office staff An office manager which is a smart ass idiot who needs to stop talking due to her poor bed side manner. And then there's possibly cool dude but, he was an ass to me guy' who must obviously be the bosses family member. DONT TALK TO ANY OF THESE PEOPLE There were two amazing pleasant people one female named Adriana and one from the coast guard that worked there but of course I only spent a few minutes with them. The other time the office staff tried to save themselves by offering me a free B12 shot and making small talk! No thank you you have already ruined my first visit. Much to my surprise the doctor was actually extremely pleasant however I spent an entire three minutes with him :-/ Update! 30 days later If you need a medical service.... Don't give them negative YELP comments bc they will book an appointment with you and call you the following day to cancel bc you expressed your opinion! oh well! HORRIBLE TIMING!! Set 11:30am appointment showed up on time and I just walked out the place at 12:17pm and I wasn't even seen! I should have been done by now. I even emailed them all my information that was requested yesterday so they could have everything ready and they only began reviewing my information at 11:50am. Extremely unprofessional and severe lack of timing. By 12pm I searched for a nearby place and found someone who reviewed my insurance information over the phone and that would see me right away by today. All while waiting 47 minutes when I should have been seen at 11:30am. Told them to cancel my appointment and that I waited for 45 minutes which is crazy and walked out. Honestly feel bad for other patients there not having their time respected at all. I strongly recommend to not come here if you actually value and respect your time. read more

If I can give this office 0 stars I would. To say the staff is terrible is an understatement. The "appointment setter" as she calls herself is rude and disrespectful with no basic medical knowledge. She shut the blinds in my face to avoid providing assistance amongst other things on previous visits. Blood results that I can see via the portal on quest, she stated were never done. Fecal occult test we were informed to drop off at quest?! First of all fecal occult test are tested in the clinic to determine if they are positive or negative and in the event it was a specimen that needs to go to the lab the patient shouldn't deliver it. Specimens are picked up daily. The nurse, Charlene I'm not sure when she graduated but she does not conduct herself as a nurse. Its a shame Dr. Tomchik is a very nice physician but his staff is a disaster which will cost him patients. He needs a strong office manager with medical knowledge to create and maintain a strong team to ensure quality of patient care. read more

I've been going to Dr. Tomchik since 2004. He is absolutely the best. He is practical, listens to the patient but also is rational about treatment and prescriptions. The office does all the services for a small extra charge--blood drawn, allergy test, strep test, fatty undersign removal and more. Such a time saver, I've suffered from migraines and Dr. Tomchik and staff saw me as a walk-in. I highly recommend and even have had referrals come here and they love it. read more

As a new patient I expected to wait a week or two to get an appointment, but I was able to get one the next day. The staff and the doctor were very friendly and engaging and although I felt horrible physically, I left feeling better just from the experience. read more

I waited 1.5 hours to be seen despite having an appointment. Just when I was gathering my belongings to leave they called me. The medical assistants were friendly and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Tomchick was easy to talk too. Had they honored my appointment I would definitely give another star :) My time is equally important as theirs. read more

If i could give this place a no star i would. My Dr. WAS Dr. Robert Tomchick. DO NOT, go to this office. I was going out of town, and they were suppose to fill my blood pressure medication and I'm still waiting.The Pharmacy had to give me some emergency pills. I'm back now, and they still haven't faxed over the request, and i'm out of medication. I went to the Dr. office today and they told me that the lead time for them to fax over the request to the pharmacy is a week. i was like what, are you kidding me, this is my health we are talking about. I'm disappointed and done, do not do business with this place. read more

I went in for a physical. I received a phone call on 02/23/15 with results of my lab. The young lady who called me told me everything was ok. I didn't think so b/c Dr. Tomchik maintains that I am severely anemic. I asked the caller if she is sure I am ok. She looked at my labs again and quoted me a range that sounded less than ok to me, the untrained professional. During my last physical, I received a call and I was told I was ok too and then Dr, Tomchik told me I am severely anemic in a following visit. Shocker!! I then called the office and requested they mail my last lab results and my previous lab results to me. Gatekeeper advised this can be done so long as I don't have HIV results. I do not, so I was assured labs would be mailed. I wanted to have my colleague read the results. I was told to allow 3 to 5 business days. I waited two weeks and called again. The gatekeeper confirmed my labs were mailed to me and he/she would have them mailed again as a precaution. The labs never came. I called today, 03/19/15 and spoke to gatekeeper again. This time I specifically requested to have Dr. Tomchik call me back to complain about his practice. The gatekeeper promised to personally mail my records to me-a broken promise in the past. I said that is fine, but I still need a call back from the doctor. Gatekeeper then told me Dr Tomchik doesn't call back patients and argued with me when I said that I don't trust the results. I then requested to have a medical release form mailed to me. A doctor who hires inept staff to give out faulty lab results and who doesn't return patient's calls should be put on blast for other potential patients to steer clear. I want out. I will post this message on every single board far and wide. Do less botox and b5 shots and more doctoring of the patients. You people chose the wrong patient to mess with. I drive very far to go to Dr. Tomchik to get crap back in return. read more

So surprising to see a bunch of negative reviews - but then again who goes on yelp to review their Dr except for the unreasonably angry. No one goes on yelp after a great physical and says YEAH let me tell everyone about my stand-up physician! So let me do that since I think Dr. Tomchik is actually an awesome, amazing, and caring doctor. Yes, sometimes it's not a five minute wait - what the hell dr's office is? This isn't McDonalds. (I'm sure if you gave them your insurance info CORRECTLY over the phone when you call up to make an appointment some of them wouldn't have that problem, because I sure didn't!) However I have never waited more than 20 mins, and most of the time I get in super fast. I literally paid my copay and the nicest nurse in the world (where do they find those nurses? They are literally the NICEST people on planet earth. One of them sounds like she belongs in Disney with tiny singing birds perching on her shoulder - I mean, Jesus, she rescues baby sea turtles in her spare time, who DOES that??) So, the ladies in the back are all incredibly sweet and knowledgeable. The Dr is actually pretty funny and SMART. He's really into preventative medicine and spent time convincing my old man he really needed his colonoscopy. He ordered a ton of tests, didn't blow me off like another dr I know did when I was concerned about a health issue. The medical team here is great - don't let a bunch of whiny people convince ya otherwise. Love these guys! read more
