Every experience we have had at this particular Heath Express has been wonderful, so clean and professional, we are always seen quickly.

While I understand that the quality of health care has steadily declined in the United States in my lifetime and I have adjusted my expectations accordingly, I have now had several experiences at this particular Health Express in Kingston that needs to be addressed: 1. Office staff (one woman in particular) are clearly unhappy with their jobs. If you don't want to (or don't like) working with the public (especially when you are seeing patients who are ill, stressed, in pain etc) you should find other employment. Being told that you cannot help because the office is "closing in 20 minutes" (when that guidance isn't posted in your facility or website or social media) is just poor management. The inability to demonstrate ANY basic human compassion to a parent when there are children (in pain) involved is a clear indicator that front desk staff needs training. Processing insurance, waiting for a debit card to go through, etc should come second to treating a child first and foremost. Do better. 2. Having multiple signs posted about patients tone, attitudes, voice volume and other behavioral guidelines around your check-in desk is condescending, elevates tension from the first moment of interaction and doesn't actually fix any internal issues. Spend some time training your front desk representative in understanding that medical intake means that people will be in pain, disoriented, frightened or anxious. This means that the person doing the check in (whose main concern seems to be insurance and payment) should also be prepared to be more patient and understanding. YOU set the tone- again, do better. Seeing multiple signs posted about patient behavior around the desk actually a MAJOR red flag to patients that staff is untrained/ill-equipped to handle the diverse needs of patients seeking medical attention. 3. Our nurse spoke too quickly about treatment which made me ask her to repeat herself several times, and then I needed to write it down and have her confirm I understood dosages of medication and next steps. This was very basic and she was clearly irritated and unwilling to fully help. Because it was almost "closing time"? Again, taking frustration out on patients is unnecessary. My expectations were low, but even this was shocking. I avoid these places as much as possible as a general rule, as the alternative is the ER ($$$), but this one is especially nasty. I have been having trouble breathing and I asthmatic. I went to urgent care to hopefully get awnser. I waiting almost an hour inside the room waiting with a mask on and I already can't breathe. finally they show up and test me for COVID and flu? what about rsv or bronchitis nope. The xr ray tech was the biggest B word I have met. Im having trouble breathing and she yells at me cause I walked past the room or when she told me to turn and I did she got mad cause she wanted me to turn the other way. Finally get back to my room wait another 30 minutes just for doctor matt to walk in and tell me i have no idea whats going on but here's prednisone. My inhaler are not working Im still having trouble breathing and now I am left with going to the emergency room. Never ever ever go here read more

Went there this morning to a group of 6 people standing outside in the freezing cold and it was AFTER 9 am and door was locked and no sign on it. One of the fellows finally called another Health Express and was told that the office in Kingston would NOT be open today (Sunday, February 2) even though the signs said the offices would be open from 9 to 4 on Sundays. So everyone just left. Not a good way to run a business!! read more

Christmas eve at 9am I called urgent care because I had a laceration that would not stop bleeding from a fall on the ice 2 days before. The woman on the phone asked me if I was on blood thinners, I said yes. She then told me that they couldn't treat me because of that. And to go to th ER, for what to sit there for hous bleeding. Even if they would have seen me to correctly apply the bandages to stop the bleeding. I told my PC Doctor they refused treatment to me and he is not happy about it at all if you have an injury that's bleeding and are on blood thinners don't think they will treat you go somewhere else. Very dissapointed with the medical staff and receptionist there. Believe me when I say the receptionist had an I don't care attitude. read more

I normally really like it here, but damn today left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was here for almost an hour total- including waiting in one of the rooms and being left there for 35 mins with no one in sight, so I left. As I was leaving- I saw that other patients who had come in after me were being seen. There were only 2-3 people there before me. They had to have forgotten about me lmao. It wasn't even busy- I've been here when it was mad busy, and I was seen in a normal timeframe. The other thing is that there was a nurse with glasses and medium length brown hair audibly shitting on patients to the other staff members. Like I get it people are fuckin dumb but chill girl lol. I went there yesterday for the first time and had a great experience. Very clean and professional. Was well treated and taken care of.

I've been to this place a couple of times, I usually have to wait less time than the one in Plymouth. But for the second time in a few months, we were denied care. This time I went there with a sick child and was told they didn't have anymore time to see anyone else. Mind you, there was NOBODY else in the waiting room and there was still 30 minutes to closing time! I asked why and was told to try going somewhere else. We tried going across the street to CVS and even tho we had no appointment the nurse took one look at my child and said she'd fit us in if I waited! Not going back here. I took my 13yr old at 3.28pm on a Sunday with multiple dog bites. The nurse turned us away saying they weren't seeing anyone else. I took her there as it closes at 4pm. They are SO rude. Got my covid PCR test here.After getting swabbed immediately,I was left waiting for the physician for almost a half hour.When I entered the facility there were no other people waiting. I finally walked out of the exam room and down the hallway when the nurse told me I needed to wait to speak with the physician before I could leave. I then went back to the exam room ,left the door open and said out loud "I will not be waiting any longer than 10 minutes". I was then handed a piece of paper with contact information for quest diagnostics by the nurse who told me the physician overheard my comment about not waiting 10 more than minutes and she said I "was all set." I've yet to get my results for my Covid test. So apparently the physician had an attitude with me for not wanting to wait more than a half an hour. I can only assume he either delayed submitting the test or didn't submit it at all. Every time I go on the website for quest diagnostics it reads absolutely nothing under my name. I will be filing an ethics complaint against the physicians license and this facilities license to operate. It's inexcusable to make somebody wait for so long when there were no other patients waiting. read more

My wife and I could not agree more with some of the negative comments below. We have been a member of South Shore Medical for 20 years and they referred us to South Shore Express one day for a simple issue. The front desk people, especially the woman in her 50's, was extremely unpleasant to say the least. One of the comments below that they look at you like you are an alien when you arrive is spot on. Furthermore, the younger person at the desk in full earshot of other patients asked my wife a very personal question. They really need to rethink their front line personnel here, we will never go back, too many other daily clinic choices with pleasant and professional front line staff! read more

Very strange environment. The receptionist and the nurse look at you like your an alien and the head nurse(Susan), there is no doctor on call, has a terrible bedside manner. I got a great eye roll from her. I now have pneumonia not diagnosed by them. Healthcare at it's finest. read more

I brought my daughter in because she had a fever and a barking cough. They told me the cough was "normal" and that she more than likely had a UTI because it was a little red down ther. They couldn't get the baby catheter in correctly after a few minutes of my baby panicking about it and didn't have the equipment to get a urine sample from a baby. I only went there because her pediatrician told me to go to the ER or urgent care because of her breathing problems. Health express told me that they are just going to assume it's a uti and treat it as so and prescribes her an antibiotic. I asked a lot of questions but they all went in circles with no straight forward answer. I left upset and called her pediatrician back and they said to bring her in to them. She was diagnosed with croup. So much for a "normal" cough. I am so glad I didn't listen to their advice and put her on a medicine she didn't need. I am upset I wasted my time and money their and won't be returning. They are quick to get you in and out but they are so quick they do not do a thorough job at evaluating the situation. I accidents wrote a bad review for this urgent card when it was the other urgent care in Pembroke that was awful. This place is great the are nice and listen to your symptoms and offer advice or solution going forward. This place is great no complaints whatsoever. read more
