Do not come here. The receptionist and medical assistants are pleasant but the nurse practitioner was so rude and dismissive. I came in due to a rash on my neck. I have had this problem before and was treated with prednisone. This nurse practitioner prescribed a topical treatment. I respect his diagnosis and what he prescribed but I wanted him to hear me out regarding my previous diagnosis and treatment. He totally did not want to hear me out and told me the topical would work better and left the room. He never introduced himself(no bedside manners) or anything. I was going to use the doctorate card because I have a Ph.D to let him know he did not need to talk down to me and be dismissive. Save your self time and respect and go elsewhere. read more

Get used to the word "quickly" in this review. So, the ladies working the front desk were nice, and the tech was really nice. That's as far as the "good" experience went at Health Express, Plymouth, on Long Pond Rd. I've had serious back pain for over two weeks. My PCP prescribed me a muscle relaxer but it's not working. Just makes me sleepy. Had a terrible night of pain last night so today I finally broke down and went to Health Express bc my PCP is too busy to see me, even for a telehealth call. I very briefly saw the doctor who was dressed in really casual street clothes which surprised me. I thought at least slacks and a nice shirt would have been more appropriate for his position. Teachers dress far better than this guy. He looked like he was going to a football game, not a doctor in a medical office. Took him a long time to get to me, and once he came in the room he was kind-of nice, but oh my goodness, he was out QUICKLY. He didn't really listen to me. He didn't even seem to care much what I had to say, nor did he give me time to explain everything I've been experiencing with my back. I did get to say a few things, but he never even sat on a chair to talk/listen to me. We just stood in the room while he quickly palpated up and down my spine, almost too fast to tell him where the pain was. I was just another patient he needed to check off his list. No bedside manner at all. I did have a quick X-ray, and when he quickly swept back in, he told me he didn't see any issues, but told me I have some arthritis in my spine (which freaked me out but he was gone before I could ask if it's serious), and gave me a printout for some doctors I could call. OK. Good to know, but all in all I felt like it was a total waste of time. Maybe if I'd had a sore throat, a UTI, or if my hand was spurting blood or something, it would have been a better experience. So basically all he did was prescribe me more muscle relaxers which already aren't helping, and an anti-inflammatory which I can't take bc I have gastric issues, but he wouldn't know that because he didn't take any time to ask me my medical history which is relatively extensive. He did ask me if I could take prednisone but I've never had it, don't know what it's for, and he didn't give me time to ask any questions about it. I have no idea what he prescribed for me, so I suppose I'll find that out when I go to my pharmacy. So yeah, all in all, a total waste of time when I could have been resting my spine and hopefully sleeping since I didn't sleep last night. Also, my husband took time away from work to drive me bc it's not safe for me to drive while on muscle relaxers. I'm no further ahead than I was before I wasted my time going to a place I thought would be able to help me. I guess if I have some minor injury or illness, I MIGHT go back there, but not for ANYTHING else. It's horrible to be in so much pain, hope I can get help, but then to be treated like your issues are not important to a DOCTOR. read more

I have a lot of respect for medical workers. It's difficult and it requires talent. I am sure that even the best of them loses their patience every now and then. But, I have never seen a more condescending, miserable and disrespectful doctor like the one at this location- 59 long pond rd, ply, Ma. My 1 year old has RSV (diagnosed 2 days ago at her pediatrician). She didn't have an ear infection then, but was very fussy today. Unfortunately I couldn't get out of work early to go to her pediatricians urgent care, and had to go to this location as soon as I got out of work at 5:30pm. Figured it wouldn't be difficult as she just saw her doctor 2 days ago, and I just needed to confirm that 1: whether she did/did not have an ear infection and 2: her lungs or okay... or nothing else scary was going on. She seemed extremely fussy that I did not want to wait until the next day. This miserable doctor stands by the door and says that he'll check her ears,, but doesn't want to get sick and wants me to stand away. Questions me with a very condescending tone on why I am there and not with her pediatrician. He agreed that she has an ear infection and starts to walk away. I asked so... are you prescribing antibiotics? Can please at least listen to her lungs too? He very impatiently says "yes" to the prescription and says that her lungs sounds like she has RSV - in an extremely inpatient manner. I asked him again, but is it ok? He repeats, it sounds like she has RSV. I am in no shape or form expecting him to console me, but being a doctor is an admirable profession that people look up for guidance, especially a worried mom of a little baby. I was just trying to get my baby some help as quickly and the best way I could. I paid for this service. If he doesn't want to deliver "good, quality " service... fine, Ill learn my lesson and never return. But in under no circumstances does his diploma give him the right to make anyone feel as shitty as this. Unfortunately, I don't think it was just a bad day that he was having. 2 years ago I got COVID, my first daughter had horrible reaction to it, we had to be transported to Children's, it was a nightmare. During all this chaos I wasn't able to take care of myself, and when things settled with my daughter I decided to just go to UC to have them check my lungs since I was having a really hard time breathing. They asked me if I was vaccinated, I said no, because I wanted to get pregnant. They tested me for COVID although I said I didn't need to be tested, because I knew I had it, since my daughter had it. They tested anyways. This same doctor stands by the door and says "you got covid, you have to let it run its course ". I said I know I have COVID, can you listen to my lungs? He said no, you're not vaccinated, you're going to feel it and if it gets worse you go to the ER for oxygen and walked away. I started crying and left. I should've known better not to return to this location, but unfortunately it is the closest to my house and when you have an inconsolable baby, you will do anything! I just hope that this guy figures his career out and chooses something else that makes him happy. read more

This was my first time using this urgent care facility. I found everyone friendly, courteous, and helpful. The facility is very nice and clean. I was fortunate there were only a few people who needed assistance ahead of me, so my visit was quick with very little waiting in order to be seen by the doctor. I was also thankful this health care facility provides imaging, and that a tech was on board working today, since that was my main concern for my back pain. All went well! Beware! I wish I could give no stars. I will be filing a formal complaint against the doctor who saw my son today. He performed a painful and aggressive hernia check on my son and caused him so much pain he cried and turned white and almost fainted...He asked him to stop because it was too painful and he wouldn't, as he thrashed on the table. He never explained what he was doing, and didn't explain that it may hurt. He just left the office and dismissed any of my questions, which were reasonable. My son almost passed out and asked me to get someone because he was scared so I went out and got the doctor and he was rude, dismissive and defensive. Absolutely the worst bedside manner I have ever experienced in my life. I question whether he is actually even a doctor. His attitude was so horrible! I am still in shock, as is my son. We literally fled before blood work, out of concern for my son's safety. This doctor should not be working with adolescents, and I regret taking my son here as he is now in more pain and is emotionally confused and upset. DO NOT go here. I am shocked this place is still open. I fear the 60+ 1 star reviews did not go beyond Yelp. I am not stopping here. This place needs to stop treating people this poorly. Turned away an hour before closing because the "exam rooms were full of patients" yet the parking lot was empty, the waiting room was empty and the staff turned all the lights off. Do they not understand that cell phone photos are time stamped?? Sat in my car calling other urgent care clinics to get my daughter seen and a staff member leaves for the night- literally gets into the only car in the lot. I open my door and ask her where all the patients are and she rolls her eyes and says " in the rooms". Then she proceeded to make the "crazy" sign at me and leave. I took my 83 year old Dad here today. We knew he had wax build up as he couldn't hear a thing. He was petrified -as he is of all doctors and dentists - but let me say the entire staff was so very nice to him. Both ears were impacted with wax and it took them 1.45 hours to get it all out. At one point the doctor came outside to give us an update (this happened during Covid) and she let us know what was going on. When he finally came out he was so relieved and could hear again. He was also escorted by someone from the office, a nurse. She was terrific. Told us none of them had seen such a severe case of wax build up. So Dad is good as new and the entire team was so great to him. It means so much to our family Thank you! read more

The process was measured and respectful and everything that I was told would happen happened when promised. DOT Physical. Do NOT use this place. I have used this for the past 6 years and have been charged a flat fee for a DOT physical. This year I paid the flat fee of $130. then was sent a Dr. bill for $330. This is totally unacceptable as it is nowhere on the website or explained at the office that there will be another charge. Waited in parking lot 2 hours, waited in room 40 minutes for a doctor to hand me my negative covid test, barely touch a stethoscope to my back and tell me it's a cold and to take NyQuil or DayQuil. I have asthma and I'm exhausted from trying to move air in and out of my lungs. She didn't look in my ears or my throat. She maybe spent 50 seconds in the room with me and sent me on my way. I wouldn't go back even if I was an inch away from death. Not sure what's worse, the ER in this town or this pitiful "urgent care". Health Express in Plymouth is a total waste of time. We were here on vacation and my 9 year old son got a sinus infection. Took him in and the doctor barely looked at him. Never felt his glands, face etc. said he definitely has a sinus infection... then told my son to take some Tylenol and a hot shower to feel better... what?!?! Called our primary care and they said he needs to get a script. Called the urgent care back at 9:30am the next morning and was told he would call one in... never received a call back... I checked back in at 12:15, 2:30 and 3:50 (they close at 4) only to get a call back and was told we have to see our primary care to get a script and the doctor wouldn't call it in. Again... what? So anyone sick on vacation has to travel back home to see their primary care. Will NEVER go here again! Waste of my time and money. If I could give it zero stars I would! read more

I am not usually one to leave reviews, unless I have a really good experience, or a really bad experience. Seeing the 2 star rating, I am not surprised. As everyone pretty much says, the staff is pretty friendly. I felt like I was taken care of inside the urgent care. But when I got out is the issue. I left urgent care at 11:30 AM this morning, and they put in a few prescriptions for me to make me comfortable, as I am very sick right now, hence why I come to urgent care. Me and my mom go run a few errands and at this time it's around 12:30, no prescription ready, no big deal as they said they can sometimes take one to two hours for them to get the order. It is now around 230, I called Walgreens and no prescription is ready. I called urgent care, and I am assured that my prescription was put in with the correct pharmacy and that they would resend the order. an hour goes by, I tried to call Walgreens, but was put on hold for around 20 minutes before I gave up. I assume this is an issue on walgreens end, nonetheless I reach out to urgent care again and ask if my prescriptions could be sent to CVS across the street instead so I could get my prescription today, as i kinda really need it. The woman on the phone says that's no problem, then proceeds to put me on hold for 20 minutes, and then hangs up. I have absolutely no way of getting my prescription today as urgent care closes at four. I had to run a few errands anyways, so I stopped at Walgreens to avoid the 20 minute phone hold, and guess what, nothing. This is extremely unprofessional, and I'm very lucky that I can go without my medications, but if this was a dire situation, that would be a disaster. read more

This is the only urgent care close by and both instances that I've gone there have been a bad experience. I don't even know how this business is open and running because both times that my boyfriend or I have gone in people are grouped up just gossiping and chitchatting and don't acknowledge that you even walk in. Once they do finally acknowledge you they say nothing and just look at you and when you tell them what's wrong they're like well I guess you could sit down and wait and fill out all the paperwork but we probably can't help or we don't offer this or that. It's never been pleasant communicating with them and now I'll just be making the drive 20mins + away to find somewhere that people are actually ready to do their job or even provide a pleasant conversation. read more

I was seen at health express on January 14 at the request of my doctors office as I could not get an appointment with them. I had tested positive for covid on January 6 after developing symptoms January 5. My cough and congestion were keeping me awake still by January 14 and I was developing laryngitis so was hoping to get something so I could sleep and help my cough. I was taken into a room by someone who never gave me her name and when she heard my symptoms, told me I probably had covid to which i replied that I had tested positive 8 days before-her response-what are you doing here then as your symptoms are from covid and there is probably nothing we can do for you but "she" will be in shortly and will let you know. That person came into the room about 30 minutes later, examined me, and told me they would call in a prescription for medication. I have no idea who she was as she also did not identify herself. 3 hours later when I had not heard from CVS I called them only to find out there was no record of a prescription. I called health express and when I explained to person who answered the phone what I was calling about, and where prescription was to be sent, her response was "They are just horrible". Upon further checking she came back on the phone and told me the prescription never got sent. Very unprofessional staff on duty that day. read more

Horrible experience. I took my 93 year old grandfather there for what looked to be cellulitis in his arms. The doctor was extremely rude. He ate his lunch throughout the entire appointment and acted as if we were a burden to him. He was very condescending and dismissive. What a bad experience. I went to this location a year ago. Was refused service because the doctor was too busy to do a simple stitch. Was told I would be credited for the visit. A year later I receive a call from a collection agency and the company hits my credit. This company acknowledged that they had been sending bills to a wrong address, one that does not actually exist on my road. I was in Massachusetts evacuating my home in Marco Island, FL due to Hurricane Irma. Unfortunately I got sick and went to the Health Express in Plymouth, MA for a very annoying cough that was preventing me from sleeping at night. They prescribed me a steroid for 5 days. I completed my last of 5 days on the prescribed steroid yesterday, and I am worse than I was when I started. I am now on my way back to my home in Florida because Marco Island got a direct hit from Hurricane Irma (Category 4), and my home sustained damage and flooding inside. I am driving 10 hours each day to get home to air out my house to prevent mold infestation because we also have no power, and it is very hot & humid in SW Florida now. I called this Health Express where I was just seen 5 days ago to see if they could prescribe something different because what they prescribed originally did not work. Don't waste your time or money just go to the emergency room. I came in at 9 with tightness in chest, sore throat, and cough. The nurse was very nice, the doctor on the other hand was a joke. He did most of the visit with the door open, inappropriate and couldn't really give me an answer on my symptoms. This is one of the worst places you could possibly go for health services. I went yesterday to get a skin rash looked at and was told it was a staph infection, which can become deadly. They gave me no antibiotics or anything to help it. I then went to a PCP and a dermatologist that confirmed it was not staph. The fact that they threw out such a dangerous condition like it was nothing and gave me nothing to treat it. Disgusting by the whole thing. The doctor barely even looked at the rash and charged me a 30 dollar copay. Awful awful awful!!! read more

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I went in for the first time tonight with an urgent problem at 7:45PM and they were closing at 8PM. I went in and told the receptionist what was going on and he proceeds to tell me that they usually don't take people this close to closing....? I came into this place clearly very upset and scared and then the nurse tells me that my pee sample was the worst she's ever seen in the years she's worked there like great that's makes me feel so much better! NOT. So then I am waiting for my results and another lady comes in and makes a joke about coming in last minute. All these people cared about was getting out of work on time. NO consideration that I was in pain or crying because I was so scared. The only person who was nice to me was the guy who took my vitals. Better off taking yourself to the vet, id like my $ back and more. I went with shortness of breath, right lung wheeze, right sided chest pain, and tachycardia. Had already taken nebs, antibiotic course and prednisone. The provider did not listen to my complaints(cut me short) and only listened to my lungs on exam, no other exam, no heart, pulse, anything else . Never asked about risks for blood clots or any medical history or currents meds. All he said was, yeah I definitely hear something there... looked at my X-ray for about 10 seconds said it was fine, ignored the thoracic compression fractures.. and said maybe you aspirated on a peanut. ?! (I don't eat them but what do I know... )If you still have symptoms you may need a lung specialist to see you and remove it or get a ct scan. Denied me of any meds for the wheezing or cough. My thought, " if he thinks I aspirated in a peanut, then the treatment is an antibiotic for aspiration pneumonia at least?" and he didn't seem at all concerned with what else it could be... PE, cardiac or anything else. Never gave me discharge instructions either, and I'd love to see his documentation because if the physical exam has anything more than lung wheeze then it would be billing fraud.
