Although my X-rays didn't show anything, I couldn't walk for a few days and could barely walk for several weeks. Dr. Dueck is an amazing Chiropractor. He's very thorough and was able to adjust areas that previous chiropractors just couldn't seem to reach. I highly recommend him. The office staff though was a bit disappointing. I had showed up for massage that was scheduled and I was not notified that the appointment had been cancelled even though they knew that the specific massage therapist I had already been gone for a few weeks for a family emergency. They said they had reached out but yet could not find documentation that I was called or even texted, which I never received. They did not offer a solution, just an "apology." read more

I woke up one day with a stiff neck, which got progressively more painful and more stiff, as I tried various techniques over about ten days to try to restore it by myself. Eventually, the pain got so bad I could not sleep through the night, and after a Bing search and looking at Yelp reviews, I called Vida right when they opened for the week. Mira, who answered the call was the perfect person for me to talk to. I wasn't sure what would help with the pain. She was able to set up an appointment for me for an evaluation a few hours later, and promptly sent the electronic health history forms that I needed to complete. My appointment was on-time, and I forgot the name of the nurse who went through my medical history with me, but I felt she was very detail oriented. Next, I saw Dani Walsh, DC, who is sometimes in the Seattle clinic and sometimes at the Ravenna clinic, who gave me a thorough evaluation of the different ways I could move my head, arms and back, and which caused pain and how bad the pain was. Because of the length of time it had taken me to seek treatment, some of my back/neck muscles had seized, and she did a great job working them loose. In my case, I had had adjustments before in the far past, so I knew what to expect, but she also kept me very well informed about when they would be coming, and we skipped at least one that my neck was not yet ready for. I felt her communication was open and exceptional, so that I would not be surprised and she would also let me know the reason why she was calling for me to do certain things rather than just ordering me to do them. It felt like we were collaborating to get me out of pain. Because we had to defer the adjustments in one of the remaining areas of stiffness, she told me to avoid heavy lifting for the day and to do ice/heat alternation on the area we were working on. She also applied something like Icy Hot to the area that we had worked on. Mira made scheduling the follow-up appointment later this week with a different doctor a breeze, and helped answer some of my concerns about how my insurance coverage worked. I have much better neck mobility today and I had a better night sleep last night. Although I still have some pain in my back, it is not as all-encompassing as it was before treatment. I know even after the next treatment, it will probably take a little while for the inflammation from the prior damage to ease. I would highly recommend this team for someone similarly situated. read more

My 17 year old daughter had major hip surgery in March, 2020, and has been in physical therapy at Vida on Madison, for close to a year, with several dozen PT sessions. Most were with Ashley Henriques, licensed physical therapist. Her final session was this morning. Whew! Ashley has demonstrated incredible patience and support throughout this ordeal, reinforcing what our daughter needed to do to resume the things she loves - hiking, running, even walking normally without pain. And, our daughter has demonstrated a steely nerve, working through the pain and keeping up with her PT to get back to a good place. Ashley also reached out to our orthopedist office and insurance provider to coordinate coverage and track covered sessions to our network limits. We are finally in a good place, thanks in large measure to Ashley and the team at Vida. Kudos! read more

Been going to Vida for a few years now. I've seen chiro, acupuncture and massage now. Dr. Dueck is the main person that I see and he's awesome. He listens to my concerns and makes sure that I leave with the best care possible. I've seen both acupuncturists Josh Jangula and Iris Wu. They both helped out with my neck pain that was getting worse. In combination of chiro and acupuncture, I started feeling better. Michael Searles is an amazing massage therapist. I just saw him yesterday. I had difficulty lifting my arms above my head and after seeing it, I was able to do it with more easy. My primary focus was my hips and shoulders, but he also helped ease my lower back pain. A wonderful healthcare place and all the providers are amazing. read more

Found an email from late 2011 when I starting care in a cozy chiropractic office on Madison for some chronic issues, essentially aging with injury. Fast forward to 2021 and I'm starting to think Vida is my best long-term investment. I can still move, thanks to them. Dr. Kris Sasaki and his entire team go out of their way to make you welcome, in a warm, safe environment. Scheduling is easy, the front desk and back office are truly outstanding, the pre-visit assessment techs are great, the office is spotless, insurance is 'dealt with' (the only way I can think of it) in such a way as to be seamless, non-insured care is within reach and every provider I've seen, through what has now evolved into Vida Integrated Health offering a vast panoply of preventative and rehabilitative disciplines, has simply been top notch. So, if you find yourself in need of a friendly group of medical professionals that can help you understand, maintain, or improve the function of your body in so many ways, a place that hasn't lost the personalized feel of that small chiropractic office way back when, think Vida. My primary care doctor is located within Vida. She is great although I just got an email from Vida saying if I wanted to continue to see my doctor, I would have to pay an annual fee of $3k!! That's $3,000 for nothing. It's a money grab. As a primary care doctor, she, and her colleagues, should be ashamed of themselves. They literally just told over half of their patients to get lost. I'm not entirely sure how they sleep at night. Time to find another doctor who actually care about my wellness. read more

I am so thankful I found VIDA. I recently relocated to Seattle and was looking desperately to find a wellness center similar to the spot I went to in San Diego. I actually asked my doctor in San Diego for a referral and he recommended Dr. Dueck. Although I do go for adjustments, Dr. Dueck is incredibly knowledgable about the body, ART therapy, cupping, and treatments that have kept me on my feet. I joke that he's my adult "WD-40." I have also done PT and acupuncture at the clinic and had a fabulous experience. I have been trying to schedule an appt for 2 wks now. Maybe having 2 receptionists; one focusing on returning peoples messages when they first come in within 24hrs like a Dr office and the other one focusing on calls as they come in. If you're receptionists are too busy to call people back ya might want to take a look at that and find a better system that works. You about lost me as a future client. read more

Where do I begin. Long story somewhat shorter, I severely injured a lumbar disc last year, and was mired in seeing a number of doctors, PTs, etc in search of any relief (at one point, a primary care provider noted the possible necessity of looking to file an SSDI claim due to my inability to sit for more than 5-10 minutes at a time). I reached out to Vida after I was 6+ months into my odyssey, and was initially encouraged by their responsiveness. After booking an appointment, I was able to be seen right away, and was diagnosed (correctly) with a severely-herniated disc. Unfortunately, the positives end here. I was initially working with Dr. Waldrup, who is now employed at one of Vida's locations on the east side. Dr. Waldrup would nominally see me for no more than 10 minutes at a time, adjusting my back and reminding me that I would need to continue to come back up to 3x per week, ostensibly for the adjustments and the red laser treatments (which, by the by, has precisely no rigorous, scientific evidence to improve upon almost any condition, but it sure seems futuristic). I occasionally saw Dr. Dueck when Dr. Waldrup wasn't available,and found him to be much more client-centered and less pretentious, and open to answering my questions around my condition. Dr. Waldrup, however, seemed most interested in how fast he could get out of the room after leaning on my back a few times, and personally offended at my inquiries as to the arc of my improvement. It should be noted that I was not looking for any 'quick fix,' as I knew that such an injury could be pervasive and take a lot of time. However, the brusque and dismissive nature Dr. Waldrup demonstrated rankled me, and his treatment plan amounted to doing the same thing over and over without results over a period of 3+ months. Eventually, I was scheduled to begin doing PT weekly along with the chiro appointments at my own request, and began working with their staff. Although I credit the PTs with being encouraging and in overall good spirits, the woman that I was mostly working with (Ashley) also brought me printed slides ON MY SECOND APPOINTMENT WITH THEM that detailed how the pain I was experiencing was psychogenic in nature, an idea that Ashley attempted to reinforce to me after I came to an appointment with tears in my eyes due to the level of pain I was experiencing simply by walking. As someone who works in psychology and holds advanced degrees I was horrified by this, and as someone who was experiencing debilitating pain from a cracked lumbar disc leaking fluid onto my sciatic nerve, I was aghast and disgusted. While it is true that psychogenic pain is absolutely real (and felt in a very real fashion by those who suffer from it), her ridiculous assertion that my pain was actually 'all in my head' was both ludicrous and insulting, and delivered without a hint of proof. I quickly left their care altogether when the 10-minute chiropractic appointments neither lengthened nor helped, and eventually found relief and ultimately recovery through the work of Dr. Stuart McGill, a pioneer in the field of kinesiology. To add insult to literal injury, their front desk staff were often cold and sullen, and I was once left waiting for an appointment over 30 minutes after checking in so that the entire staff could coo over a baby that had been brought in by someone who appeared to be an ex-employee. TL;DR: Incompetent, ineffective practice and a stunning lack of tact and empathy. Engage with this type of naturopathic quackery at your own risk. read more

I have been going to see Dr. Dueck for over 12 years and he is simply the best. He has helped to rehab me from multiple sports injuries including back and hamstring. He is incredibly knowledgeable about human anatomy and physiology and uses multiple techniques, including Graston and cupping to address the issue/concern. Consistently friendly staff and doctors providing excellent care!

I have seen Allianna a few times for massage and it has been amazing. She is incredible at her practice and I 100% recommend seeing her. I've been struggling with daily migraines and headaches for 5 months now and one day I got on the table feeling 5/10 pain. By the time she was done, my pain had gone down to a zero. ZERO. That was the first time in weeks that I had felt no pain, it was remarkable and such a relief! The pain eventually came back, but being able to have some form of relief is something I'll take any day. I wish I could see her every day. She is kind, thoughtful, she asks what pressure level you like and checks in with you throughout to make sure you're comfortable. She is wonderful. I have seen quite a few massage therapists at this point and she is the best I have seen. If you're lucky enough to be able to book an appointment with her, do it. It's worth the wait. read more

Snap! Crackle! Pop! This place is fantastic - everyone's super helpful & the relaxation room with the massage chairs is incredible. I worked with Dr Dueck & he is super friendly, explains what he's doing & always has a smile on his face. It was my first time visiting a chiropractor & I was pretty nervous as I have a difficult time being touched by strangers (massage, too). I communicated that with Dr. Dueck & the team & they were super accommodating & made me feel comfortable. After being adjusted, I felt instant relief & so much better! I was in major lower back pain after going to 3 amusement parks in the span of 4 days. I could not sleep because laying down was unbearable, sitting down was also horrible and I was walking at the pace of an iceberg. I found Vida on yelp from all the great reviews. So I decided to check the one on Madison out, it was close to work and home. I called them up and mind you that this was the week of Christmas, which I was expecting the scheduler to tell me that they were completely booked. But they got me in the following day. They hooked me up to see Dr. Dueck who is AMAZING! He is friendly, explains what he is doing and answers the billion questions I had. He did my chiro adjustments and asked me to do physical therapy to help my back. After 2 sessions I was able to sleep all night, walk a lot faster then I originally was and my pain was no longer at a 10. I continued seeing Dr. Dueck and Dr. Waldrup for my adjustments and Rachel and Genevieve for my physical therapy for 1 month and I am back to normal. I love the Vida crew! I can't say enough about how beautiful their new building location is on Madison on Capitol Hill. A great amount of light comes in and it has a very open layout for all the healthcare they provide.
