Be aware that other than their smoothies not to purchase anything. They cover expiration dates with price stickers. I bought 2 items and upon return to work noticed one sticker covered expiration date from 2 years ago and the other was tea bags expired 2021. Another review here noted moldy tea. Located in downtown New Brunswick, this is a great addition to the Hub City scene. An older couple runs the store and they're so pleasant. Unlike some business owners they actually take the time to greet their customers, ask you how are you, can they help you, etc. And yes, that may seem like the normal thing to do, but you would be surprised how many business owners lack that basic skill. I come here about 3 times a month to either refill on coconut oils, essential oils or anything else. Or, I'll stop in two times a week to have a smoothie ( and boy, they never disappoint.) I got some tea from here years ago that, when I brewed it, something seemed a little strange. Upon closer inspection, I realized the tea bags were moldy! I took it back and said I would prefer an exchange. However, I wanted to check the box to make sure it wasn't also moldy. Lo and behold they were all moldy. I told him and so he just gave me a refund. I even said something like, "You better go though your teas and see if those others are moldy." He just nodded almost imperceptibly. Something about it stuck in my head and a few weeks later I was in the store and thought I would look at the teas. The moldy tea was still there. I was so disgusted that I left and never went to the store again. I used to go once a week or so because I had an internship down the street. Maybe it was the fact that when I went to the counter and showed him the mold, and then I went to the middle of the store to look at the other teas, he didn't even come with me to look. I remember calling out in alarm at what I found. He just didn't seem to care or, I remember thinking, maybe he already knew and was just selling them anyway. It does no good now to post this, as it's years later and he's now racked up 41 five star reviews. But this was the experience I had at this store. I was just reminded of this because I'm currently dealing with a chronic GI problem that I may have acquired from a health food store selling something that they shouldn't have. A little hole-in-the-wall gem in downtown NB! It looks like a little convenience store in passing, but it is absolutely my favorite place to grab a smoothie in the area. The store itself has a lot of self-care products with a large emphasis on herbals and homeopathic medicines. They have soaps, fragrances, vitamins, supplements, face masks, teas, drinks, as well as a good variety of snacks and non-perishable food items. All of the prices are reasonable and the store itself is fun to shop around in. The best part however is the smoothies! Every time I come here, I try to have a different smoothie depending on what I'm feeling that day. All of the ingredients are fresh, and there is no additives or sugars in your drink unless you ask for sugar. You can also customize your drink to some degree if you want to add/remove certain fruits/vegetable. The large runs me just under 6$, but it is WELL WORTH IT! I would come back again and again for these smoothies because of how refreshing and clean they are. Absolutely love this entire place and can't wait to be back :) read more

And until now, the local juice bar options have ranged from poor to non-existent. But now there's Health Way! I have no idea how long this place has been tucked away on George Street. I've walked this stretch of block a zillion times before. But thanks to good ole Yelp, the road to finding fresh veggie juice finally led me here. It's a full-on healthy convenience store -- groceries, vitamins, and a fresh juice bar -- they have it all. And the nice Asian couple that runs the place couldn't be sweeter. Rounding things out are their reasonable prices. A 20-ounce all greens veggie juice and a shot of wheatgrass -- all for under $10! Unheard of at any other place I've been to like this. And everything was super-fresh and super-delicious. I can't recommending juicing enough. I lost over 20 pounds this summer drinking juice, and no -- I don't mean a juice fast. I mean just working one or two juices a day into my life. A good, healthy veggie juice a day will help you get away with eating all that other crap you likely put in your body. This place is an absolute Godsend. Upon undertaking the daunting task of juice fasting for two weeks, i was in need of a place that made on the spot vegetable and fruit juice. I unexpectedly stumbled on this place while walking around New Brunswick one day. I've since gone and there for a specialty juice and not only did they accommodate my exact request, but the prices are more than reasonable. A large juice is only 5.99 and a small is 4.99. Given how expensive healthy food tends to be, this is an excellent way to be healthy at reasonable prices. I'll certainly be frequenting this place as and will surely recommend it to people as there aren't many places like this in the area. I recently saw a sign outside that said they now have sushi, so I decided to check it out. I was not expecting it to be a mini sushi bar with really good fresh sushi!!! I can only comment on the veggie sushi, which was really good. Fresh avocado, and they actually give you a good amount of it in each roll. If you live around town definitely check out the smoothies and sushi, especially if you want to get a quick lunch before class. I was so excited to head to this place and have some great green juice. Just an update,one of the pictures in the photo section shows a really nice sushi selection. I hadn't exactly noticed the date that the picture was take (2014) and had planned to enjoy a nice green juice and sushi lunch. The place is clean and small and no longer has that huge sushi selection. They have a small shelf of premade rolls that didn't look really great (and i'm pretty lenient on food) the color of the fish was kind of mehh. So i just decided to pick up a green juice here and perhaps get sushi at hotoke or sushi room after. The juice section is super cute and clean and the menus items for the types of juice varies. I got the green cleanse juice and it was pretty tasty. The one thing i wish is that the veggies were kept in a refrigerator or ice bath or something. The juice was like lukewarm. I love to juice and have a really nice juicer back at home but I make sure to keep my veggies crisp in the fridge so the juice turns out cool so I dont need to water it down with ice. Maybe this is not everyone preference but i wish it had been at least kind of chilled. The juice still had great flavor and was fresh and the couple working this place were very nice. I work next door so this is one of my favorite places to hit when I don't bring lunch to work. I love their shakes, one of my favorites is the oatmeal with almond butter shakes. Ihave had their green juices, ginger shots and many more. I have no complaints about any of the things I have tried form here. They also have a 'nuts bar' located towards the back of the store which is where I usually get roasted almonds from. The store is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Every once in a while I get california veggie rolls from here as well which I also enjoy. read more

It was nice to see smoothies already made up to cater to almost everyone. I have been trying to lower my blood pressure, so I got a juice specifically for hypertension. It wasn't the best tasting combination, but it was very fresh and seeing the juice being made right of me was a nice touch. They have a ton of other natural products in the store is well. You could really rack up on some rather healthy snacks. They have an entire wall of fresh nuts and seeds as well as packaged snacks like Kale chips and roasted seaweed. They offer a fair variety of smoothies and juices including energy boosters and protein shakes. I really enjoyed my green shake which had green apple, kale, kiwi and others. I have only purchased their smoothies (peanut butter & banana, and kale & blueberry) and I'm in love. I was always a fan of Hansel and Griddle's "banana flip" but while Health way's pb smoothie tastes very similar to Hansel and Griddle's, it is better. So delicious that I need to have it at least once a week. $5 for a 8oz ( I think) but it's healthier than frozen yogurt and actually replaces a meal. Highly Recommend this place. read more

This place is phenomenal I really wish they had one by me! Any juice you get here tastes great and is always made with fresh ingredients! Plus the wheatgrass shot comes with a slice of apple which is a game changer. Really gives you that coffee boost without the crash! Found this hidden gem just one block from where i work on George St. It was LOVE at first sight! I had a medium anti-fatigue juice that consisted of carrot , grapefruit, orange , lemon , beet, and ginger. It was reasonably priced and delicious! i came back the next day to buy royal jelly for my dad. Not only they sell yummy & healthy fresh juices but they have all kinds of health foods.
