I love playa bowl but this store makes me want to BOYCOTT. It doesn't matter if you order ahead or order in the store they never make my bowl correctly , they touch everything in the store with the same gloves and then touched my fruit . This was my first experience going to and having a Playa Bowl. I was with my son it was his idea to goad he's been there before We went around 12:30 on a Sunday and were the only customers there. We were greeted immediately and from ordering to getting our bowls was like 7 minutes. We took our order to go. I got the Bae Bowl 2.O which is a base of half playa pitaya (dragon fruit) and half stupid Cupid ( strawberry, banana, coconut milk). Strawberries, coconut flakes, goji berries, and chocolate drizzle were on top. My son got a pitaya (dragonfruit) base and strawberries The bowls were nice a cold when we got home (10 minute drive). I enjoyed my first playa bowl experience everything tasted nice and fresh. The only complaint is that they asked my name when I ordered I said Tim. I've got to say , I've never had a playa bowl but I get the hype! I'm a juice generation almond butter bliss gal and this was a close second. It was delicious and I will definitely be back. I got a bowl with half of their playa pitaya and banana blend . I added almond butter , strawberries , mango , banana , granola and coconut flakes, it was so refreshing and yummy. My toddler also enjoyed it. I can see me eating these all summer. read more

I came here maybe a total of 2x. First when they opened a year or two ago. I ordered a peanut butter smoothie except they left out the main ingredient, the peanut butter. I come back today thinking service changed, so I ordered the Nutella Acai Bowl, look in the bag before I leave and ask where the Nutella is. Girl behind glass says it's on the inside. Now, if you look on their website the Nutella is ON TOP of the fruits, not beneath it. Needless to say I barely tasted the Nutella in it cuz it was melted into the Acai. Maybe she's new and didn't know how to make it properly. It didn't taste right and the Acai itself had some strange taste to it too. I usually go to the Edison location which is way better and the same bowl there is $1 cheaper too. I now came to the Woodbridge location twice and both times not a good experience. I've been giving my business to the playa bowl on main St Woodbridge since they opened. The service has been good until tonight. My wife and I got out of work and wanted a sweet snack. I placed my order and drove over to Woodbridge to get my order. I entered the store and it was empty since it was 9:45pm on Monday. I stood at the window for 10 minutes, waiting for the girl in front of me to acknowledge my presence. She saw me but never acknowledged me not asked if I needed help. It took another worker to notice me to then I was asked if I needed help or picking up an order. This is as horrible. Rude and not the way a customer should be treated. I was there to pick up an order I had paid for(not cheap). I was not there to begin with or ask for a free meal. I'm think of driving up the road to Tano mall next time or maybe sweet strawberry across from Woodbridge high. read more

I was visiting from out of town on a work trip and drove past this so I stopped in having never been to a play bowls before and it was so good!! There was so many great options and I wasn't sure what to get and the worker asked me what I was considering and so helpful in helping me customize my bowl!! I ended up getting a half açaí base and then half the stupid cupid (which is a strawberry banana) base then essentially did the toppings from the nutella bowl and added some fruit and it was phenomenal and exactly what I was looking for! Definitely a bit pricier, but pretty standard for getting a smoothie bowl also not made at home. If I find myself back in the area, then I will definitely be stopping in again! I was very excited for the Woodbridge grand opening, as I'm a Playa Bowls fanatic. Sadly, I was very disappointed by their customer service. I went in their grand opening night. At around 9:20 PM. The cashier was very friendly. Even though she did make a mistake when taking my order, I did asked to remove my strawberries from my Nutella Acai bowl and substitute with bananas. When I receive my bowl I only got it with half bananas. I expressed to the employee Gianna that was working there that handed me my bowl that I had requested a substitution for the strawberries. She proceeded to expressed that that would be extra and I wouldn't need to pay additionally. Being a customer for 8+ years and anyone that goes frequently to Playa Bowls. You know that you do not pay when you are substituting only when you were adding. She was extremely nasty, unprofessional and welcoming, ruined my experience. Then she proceeds to yell at the cashier saying she made a mistake, and that next time she needs to be mindful. Then she proceeds to gossip about me with the other employees. While sitting and enjoying my bowl, a group of customers came in and they were standing, Trying to decide what to order She yells across the restaurant. Are you guys going to order or what?? horrific customer service. Not what I expected opening night or ever in a popular spot like play bowls.
