They began carrying Cadadia ("every day") brand that offers competitive prices on numerous staples. Their bulk prices are usually LOWER than the pre-packaged item at Kroger. You'll receive excellent, knowledgeable service as needed. Yes, many of the prices are higher than Kroger, but what Eats offers is local and/or TRULY organic food (unlike larger commercial brands.) Oh, and there is a discount for seniors on all items, every day, all the time. I abandoned the corporate shopping mentality, and I love Eats.

On the upside, you'll struggle to find a place that has more niche brands with vegan, gluten-free, and other specialty items. The local focus is also appreciated. On the downside, I was surprised how expensive it was, and that's with shopping the sale items and the $1 credit I apparently picked up by shopping at the Roanoke Earth Fare.
