I love this place. I come away very relaxed. When I have time I enjoy the 90 minute reflexology

I am pretty sure these ladies are not licensed as they did not require a health consent nor did they ask me that if i have any areas to avoid which resulted in her re-injuring a torn rotator cuff. There was no skill in my massage just pouring oil all over me and rubbing it into my skin. They did not know trigger points and The deep tissue was a joke, and she rubbed her elbows down the middle of my spine which really hurt. They did that to my husband as well. I honestly have never wanted a massage to end so badly. At the end of the massage when my husband and I were getting dressed, she walked back in on us and we were fully nude No knock, no warning nothing. Again, I am 100% sure these ladies are not licensed nor did they go to massage therapy school as I was a licensed massage therapist myself. Not to mention, putting hot stones on bare skins is a huge no-no. It is against a massage therapy's creed as it can burn people and causes lawsuits. I never asked for hot stones because I'm heat sensitive and they put tons of hot stones all over me, including hot towels. At one point, the rocks kept falling on the floor and they were picking them back up and putting them back on top of me that is unsanitary. They kept leaving the room to attend to other customers and answering the phone. They were answering the phone while we were in the room getting massages. The whole experience was just terrible.

The way the pricing worked out, he was going to have about $15 left over on the card, so I graciously offered to take that and have a manicure done while he was getting rubbed down. I'm such a nice girlfriend for helping him out like that. The spa sits in an old house, which totally adds charm. Kev went to the back and I off to the nail tech side room. Meaghan introduced herself to me politely and sat me down in the chair. It took her a few minutes to locate the supplies and get situated, which gave me the feeling she doesn't normally do nails. I should have got up out of the chair at this point, but I didn't want to jump to conclusions. Silly me. She started filing away and I noticed she seemed uneasy and not quite sure about what she was doing...so I had to ask what the deal was. Turns out she does hair and is the "backup" for the nail tech. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt so I didn't say anything and let her continue. About 20 minutes later, the nail tech came in with her client - a pedicure. I began to wonder, if the nail tech already had an appointment, why didn't they just tell me and reschedule? Odd. After Meaghan applied the white to my french manicure, I held them up and was shocked. Not only was it applied horribly, but the "filing" she did made my nail ends crooked! WTF?!? Too flabbergasted to say anything, I let her finish. The entire process didn't feel like a manicure at all but rather like I let my 15 year old cousin do my nails. Eep! I nearly croaked handing them $35 plus a tip for the job. And not to mention, the nail paint started peeling off the next day. I really should hand them a one star, but gosh bless 'em -- they're just so nice and sweet I can't help but slap another star on there. Just don't let Meaghan do your nails.
