Engaged Sean again for a new project, removing an overgrown non-producing plum tree, shaping and…read moretrimming a large Pistache street tree and a Japanese Maple, along with two shrubs in the backyard. Sean took care of filing the permit for the street tree and worked within my schedule. The crew arrived on time and did a great job expertly extracting the plum tree, grinding down the main trunk and a lateral root. They took their time to remove dead wood areas and shape the larger trees to comply with city regulations but still retain shape and shade. Same was done with the shrubs/trees in the backyard, improving spacing from the house and reducing height to not block solar panels. All debris was removed and ground up in their wood chipper. Despite having an unfortunately wrong-spelling for the name "Brian", working with him was a great experience. He was transparent about pricing, availability and walked the site to talk over things in detail. We worked through some options for what might have to happen if the water lines near some of the plants were too shallow. He also stopped to talk to me when he discovered some old french drains near one of the trees in the front. I appreciated being consulted all along the way to make sure I was involved in decisions. The price was very fair, the work was done efficiently, and I haven't had any issues about 5 months later. In scheduling the work there was issue with one of his smaller grinder equipment that he was open about needing to repair and he kept me up to date on the repair and we worked out a timeline that was good for me. I appreciate tackling a project with a hard worker who has great communication and doesn't hide potential challenges with the environment or unknowns.
