I made this appointment for my son weeks in advance! I showed up on time only to see that they are closed. Nobody called me to reschedule or to inform me that they would not be open. Piss poor customer service, I'm SO upset.

Rude staff and a money hungry dentist office! Everyone at the front desk is rude and always has an attitude, it's like you're a bother.

Figdor came in, my daughter (who was thoroughly prepped & "ready" and excited for the experience), immediately got shy and clammed up.

My children have recently switched from a not so good dental office to Little Tooth Pediatric…read moreDentistry. The staff working inside is very caring and attentive. I almost never have a long wait time, I'm usually in and out. Checking in all I do is give them my kids name and that's it. The Orthodontist himself doesn't seem to be very knowledgeable. My son's teeth are far and spaced apart with big gaps so I asked him about braces and he told me braces aren't usually considered until around age 10, I told him my son is 10 and then he changed the age to 11-12 years old. He also looked at my baby girls teeth and told me she has healthy teeth and that he can tell she doesn't drink from a bottle or take a pacifier, but she does. She has a very noticeable overbite too. I'm not sure if I'll stay with this practice only because I don't trust that the orthodontist knows exactly what he's doing and I want to good dental hygiene for my children. We have been treated very nicely here though during the last 3 visits and they're always attentive to the children and not traumatizing them by holding them down, they let the parents do that part, haha! They're located in the basement level so there is Zero cell service there. They have TV screens above the children's head and put on their favorite shows while they get dental work or cleaning done. They also give you a coin at the end of the visit so the child can use that coin and get a prize out of the coin machine.

This is a wonderful pediatric dental practice. I knew to expect a fabulous waiting room, since my…read moredaughter-in-law had sent pictures on a previous visit. But actually experiencing a preschooler's delight was really special. The waiting room is a small playground. One side contains a wall enclosed play area with a short slide. My Grandson immediately headed to this spot and in minutes was happily coming down the slide. In lieu of kiddie sized chairs, one wall was colorful 3 level bleacher style seating which could also be used for safe climbing. Children's books are strategically placed. Oh, and there's also an area for grown ups to sit. Much smaller than the play area, of course..... But the highlight was the examination. Can you believe I'm actually saying this about a dental visit? The child & his grown-up is led to an open floor plan exam area. There are no little cubicles to make one feel isolated and claustrophobic. Each station features a brightly colored dental chair, all in different hues. The child gets to choose their favorite color. My Grandson immediately ran happily to the bright blue chair and eagerly climbed into it. Wow, could this actually be a dentist appointment? Or might it be a play date with the amazing doctor? Never have I seen a Pediatric Dentist who was so good with children. She explained what she was doing to the child, not the grownup. And her demeanor was such that you could tell she loved children. That feeling was conveyed to the child, who happily cooperated with everything she wanted to do. And oh, the dental tools & utensils.... They were all child themed. What an amazing experience!! What a wonderful dental practice!!

I have a long history (about 40 years' worth) with this dental practice, first with Larry and…read moreSkippy and now with Kevin - uhh, I mean Dr. Hansen - and his associates, and I can't imagine anyone else getting their hands in my mouth. Everyone, from Drs. Hansen and Hoang, to Alice and the front desk staff, to the hygienists, are always so nice and friendly and professional. Next week they start scraping my gums and I'm actually looking forward to it! (okay, that last part's a total lie. But you get the picture.)

I am SO thankful for Dr. Hoang after an absolutely HORRIBLE experience at Prospect Heights Dental…read more(which you can read all about at their Yelp page). After a practice that didn't take covid seriously, did an unnecessary and COSTLY dental procedure that I am still healing from weeks later, hurting my lip, and being just a complete disorganized disaster, I'm really lucky that my second shot at dentistry was so much better. I prefaced in my last review that I made the mistake of not going to the dentist for a long time - granted, I didn't have insurance for 6 months and then the moment I got insurance, covid happened and I got scared. But still, it's reasonable I had a ton of build up/tartar/gum disease and definitely a wake up call for me. At the last dentist, I was told immediately I needed a root and scaling/deep clean without them even doing the measurement thing on my gums, just x-rays. They did the root and scale on my right side but not my left (only one is done at a time), which has left me weeks later with angry miserable gums, gaps in my teeth I didn't prior have, and cost me $500 out of pocket. When I got to Dr. Hoang, she actually took her time examining my x-rays, my gums, and my mouth to find that 1) the deep clean didn't even deep clean, as I still had a bunch of tartar making my gums even more unhappy and 2) my gums weren't as bad as I had thought, and I didn't even need to do a root and scaling/deep clean on the left side. If I had gone to Dr. Hoang in the first place, I wouldn't be still miserable, with ugly and uncomfortable gaps in my teeth that I literally struggle to talk and eat with, and wouldn't be out $500 as all she did was a regular cleaning for me on the left. My biggest disappointment is I didn't go to her first. On top of that she's super sweet, lets you ask questions, doesn't make you feel bad about your obvious mistakes, and makes sure you fully feel comfortable before she does anything. Thank you so much for restoring my faith in dentistry. The practice is also great!!! Sallie from reception was very pleasant over the phone and email, and I'm not sure if it was her or a different receptionist at the front today, but she was great too. Everyone is wearing masks and taking Covid very seriously. They sent out a covid form the night before and took my temperature when I arrived. And...... last thing, they were playing Death Cab for Cutie when I walked in. As a born and raised Seattleite, this made me so happy :)

All I know is that BHPD has been an excellent spot for us to care for our kids' teeth thus far. We've had three different types of experiences to date: 1. Regular checkups/cleanings. These have gone very smoothly. The folks at the front desk are cool. The dentists/hygienists are gentle, good with my girls, and most importantly, efficient. They understand that they've got to get in and get out, because there's only so long a kid can stand it. We do both of my kids back to back, and I think we were in and out this last time in less than 45 minutes. Plus, they give us a goodie bag, which is by far my kids' favorite part. 2. Tongue Ties. My younger daughter was born with tongue ties on the bottom and the top, which made breastfeeding a problem. Our pediatrician recommended we have a dentist essentially cut through them with a laser. This was a terrible experience because your poor baby has no idea what's happening, and has a pretty gnarly wound in her mouth for a while...but I think they handled it as well as it can be. 3. Tooth problems. One of my daughter's teeth turned grayish. Not something I've ever seen before, and I called the office, and then e-mailed pictures to the address they gave me. Within 24 hours, they wrote back with a detailed response about what it could be, why it may have happened, and what we should do about it. I appreciated the thorough and quick response, and it makes me pretty confident in their service. All in all, we're pleased with this place, and plan to keep using them as our dentist.
