[[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire staff is diverse and everyone is really friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dr. Ifill doesn't do unnecessary procedures and makes sure that you're completely comfortable at all times. Many dentists forget that they're dealing with a human being in the chair and ignore that they may be hitting sensitive nerves or making you uncomfortable; she is not like that at all. Many positive reviews but recommend proceeding with caution. Actual dentistry is very good, but front desk / organization and communication plus billing is poor. They will over charge and not be transparent with services received, and then withhold and delay refunding. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do not communicate with each other and fail to reply to email or calls.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They also claim to require two visits for an annual check up as policy, so this may cost you more. Further, although this may not be their issue, they currently do not accept direct reimbursement with Delta Dental, so this caused some of the above issues. I am looking for a more transparent and clearer communications with my health providers, so will be seeking other options. read more

Just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a new dentist. Everyone in this office from the front desk staff to the hygienists to the assistants to Dr. Ifill were all so nice! Minimal wait times and clean, efficient office. Dr. Ifill found a cavity that my previous dentist missed/passed off as nothing even though I brought the problem area to their attention. She noticed it on the x-ray without me even saying anything! I ask a million questions because I'm a curious cat and she is great at explaining things to me. They are very transparent and honest about pricing for procedures and make sure you understand/are comfortable with costs before proceeding. I have had great experiences here! As someone who struggles with routine dental hygiene, I was very nervous to go back to the dentist. I called ahead and the very nice receptionist was able to accomodate my requests to work with a hygenist with mental health knowlegde. Olivia did an amazing job cleaning my teeth, and then helping me come up with a plan and strategies to work towards better habits. This was the best dental experience I have ever had. I was wary of going to the dentist to begin with due to horrible past experiences, but especially now due to COVID. As soon as you enter the office your mind is made at easy. The PPE and sanitary measures are fantastic. The office looks immaculate and the staff are friendly as well as attentive. The staff is nice and if all you want is a routine cleaning, this place is fine. After getting a couple of root canals from Dr. Ifill, I have had to have one root canal redone because of an infection from an uncapped tooth. On another occasion they found a cavity but didn't fill it, then told me I should have had it filled sooner. They also spend a lot of time trying to upsell you on cosmetic work. read more

This review is so long overdue. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Dr. Ifill and her team. I started going there years ago. I had had horrible, and tear invoking experiences with dentists. I wasn't going to go to a dentist again. It was early 2012, I was nervous and I was only there as a new patient in her chair because I had a toothache. Dr. Ifill was thorough; educative; warm; gentle; and funny. In the time I went there I've had cleanings; fillings; crownings; and a root canal. They were done with so much care for my comfort; health; and overall well being. I took a hiatus because of medical reasons. Fast forward to today. GDA's support team and Dr. Ifill are amazing. The atmosphere (office decor, music, personalities) lull away any anxiety you have. The team is attentive; personable; professional; and pleasant. Dr. Ifill is still thorough; educative; warm; gentle; and funny. Went in for a cleaning / check-in regarding my increasingly burdensome wisdom teeth. Dr. Ifill was very kind and informative. Made the whole visit casual and way less stressful. I would give them a million stars if I could. Now I have never liked the dentist which is the reason why I haven't been in 13yrs. My daughter found this location so I decided to try it. Just walking in the door I received such a wonderful greeting I knew I was in good hands. Now prior to my appointment I had to fill out my health history and history with dentist. So when I arrived they understood that I was scared and nervous and that I haven't been to the dentist in a while. When Oliva walked in she told me not to worry. She took her time checked on me to make sure I was okay through the entire process. Now my first visit was just a cleaning but since I haven't been in a while it was alot to do. I had two more appointments with her and every appointment I started off stressed I became relaxed just by the treatment I received from her and her assistant Chyna. I met Dr Ifill and she too understood how I felt about the dentist and the entire process. I had to have three teeth extracted while being awake which I've never done before. Everytime she took out a tooth she checked in making sure I was okay for her to continue. She too was amazing. I can't express how I'm feeling right now. I'm so happy I finally get to take care of the one thing I've been avoiding to do for a long time. I'm so happy my daughter found this place. The entire staff are amazing. Despite a kerfuffle where I waited something like 30 minutes for my first appointment, I really like this place. The staff is lovely, the cleanings go quickly, and they have excellent goodie bags. I particularly like that the head dentist is named Dr. Ifill. First of all, she's a delightful human being. But with a name like that....she was clearly destined to be a dentist! I am just getting home from my first visit to Dr. Ifill's office. From the scheduling, to reception, to the hygienist, to the consultation with the dentist herself, and finally through to billing, this was a 10/10 experience. Each new person with whom I interfaced was friendly, welcoming and reassuring (not always a given at the dentist). Images were taken and thoroughly explained, and suggestions were made, but certainly not pushed. I didn't think it was possible to look forward to seeing a dentist but Dr. Ifill has made me a believer! I recently had a procedure done by another dentist somewhere else who accepted my new health insurance. And after realizing I was still in a considerable amount of pain I went to Dr. Ifill for a second opinion. Sure enough the other dentist had botched the procedure; but Dr. Ifill quickly and surgically fixed the problem so now I'm healing and my pain is gone. I've been taking care of a lot of health stuff recently as the year ends, and I have to say a patient can get treatment in a lot of places. But if you're looking for "care" - genuine care and concern - then Dr. Ifill and her team at Garden Dental stand head and shoulders above other dentists and even healthcare facilities in general. Everyone from reception to Dr. Ifill were great. They made the whole experience incredibly comfortable and enjoyable. Who thought that was possible with a dentist visit? They were all really nice and professional. They even sent me a letter on my birthday! Not an email, a physical letter. I've been coming here for almost two years since moving to brooklyn and the reviews are true. Dr Ifill and her team are friendly, professional and do their best to keep everyone on schedule. The hygienists take the time to speak to you and explain what they are doing and even offer up tips on healthy brushing, etc. And for some reason, every one there remembers the little things - what profession I'm in, how my last visit was, etc. Delano, the officer manager, is always friendly and does a great job dealing with my extremely difficult insurance company and always manages to find a convenient time for me to have an appointment. This place is very flexible; I had to get a root canal and rather than have a few appoints to get it fixed, they were awesome and booked me in for a 3 hr marathon session to set things right! Finding any dental or medical professional is a daunting and stressful task that most prefer to put off, I know I do! It had been some time since I had a cleaning and I didn't really know were to go in the area as I recently moved from Florida. I decided to check out this place because it was close, covered by my insurance and had good yelp reviews so I figured why not? Definitely one of my better decisions. Dr.Ifil and her staff is amazing. I especially love my dental hygienist, Yvonne Bernard, she's so fun and wonderful to be around. I can't say enough about this place. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by warm and friendly people. I was worried because I haven't been to the dentist in a while, but every single person in the office made me feel comfortable. My appointment started right on time. My dental hygienist was effective, efficient, and friendly. As she took x-rays she explained the process, which eased my anxieties.
