I'm so thrilled to have visited this gem'! The Whole Foods for dogs, this place had all the healthy food and treats for your pet. With Pet Supplies closed in PG, this is far superior with raw food, high quality treats, and toys. They also have a good herbal assortment for holistic remedies for your pet. I came here to get some rides for my new pooch and also some healthy tasty treats. I also got an itch spray for my older dog has been suffering from allergies and yeast and received a great recommendation from the staff member. I don't think you can go wrong buying anything here is everything looks so yummy and is mostly human grade. I ended up buying some freeze dried green muscles as treats which my dogs love, some beef curly cue rides, and some beef and turkey sticks along with the itch spray. This falls under the heading of going beyond the call of duty. We forgot our dog food at home and it's not easy to find. This very nice woman sat for almost 20 minutes on her computer looking for distribution in the area of our particular dog food then she spent another 10 minutes calling around, because they didn't carry that particular brand at their establishment. The woman that was helping us looked up the ingredients to our senior dog food and was able to closely match the food that they had in stock as to not upset our dogs delicate stomach. I cannot say enough good things about the Raw Connection. My dachshund is getting on in years and needed to shed some weight. I was interested in trying a new diet and supplements for her but had no idea where to begin. It can be very confusing and intimidating when learning about raw foods for your pet-plus it is expensive and many veterinarians are either pro or against it, so there is much to consider. The staff at Raw Connection took the time to explain the benefits of going raw in detail and answered any questions I asked. They suggested digestive enzymes with probiotics to supplement the food and some great treats without bombarding me with too many items. The store is huge and immaculately clean. They have a very large section of dry kibbles in addition to all the raw food. The toys here are quality too-very sturdy, built to last. Great shampoos, brushes, beds, carriers etc-it is a full service pet supply shop. I felt very at ease making my selections without any pressure or judgement. The results from the raw diet for my dog have been nothing short of astounding. Her coat is the softest it has ever been in eight years-her eyes are clear and bright-more pep and overall energy. It's as if she has Benjamin Button Syndrome and is aging in reverse! I wish I had always fed her this food and am grateful to have started. I owe this to having Raw Connection available and the wonderful staff. My dog loves coming here and gets so excited with all the sniffs! This place is taking a nosedive since it was bought out. The assistant manager Andrea has no idea what she's doing. She wasted a ton of my time on the phone trying to find a cat food I have special ordered before. Since speaking with her it was clear she was unfamiliar with the stock and with the computer system so I drove into the store and placed the special order with another employee who charged my credit card over $70 for the cat food. Unfortunately Andrea just called me this afternoon and told me that she could not do the special order. When I told her that I'd already paid for it and put in the special order she told me I had to have a credit card on file even though I had put mine in the machine and had a receipt for the charges! Absolutely doesn't make any sense she was very insistent that she was going to refund me and not put my special order through unless I gave a credit card for her to keep on file! I already explained to her that I spent a good 20 minutes in the store putting in the special order but she really didn't care about the time I had spent in the store and the fact that the special order was already in place. She actually seemed very confrontational and determined to sabotage my order! Why do people like this work with the public? in fact her only goal seemed to be to get my credit card number for her to keep on file indefinitely. A very strange way of doing business and not at all like this establishment used to be. I told her she had very poor customer service canceling out my credit card and my special order and requiring me to come in yet again and give the same credit card information only to put it on file which I'm not comfortable doing especially at this point. How I miss the old days when that store was privately owned and customer service was a consideration!!! read more

Im a dog walker for a friend of mine and she comes here all the time. She loves this place. She recently bought a harness for her dog and it fit him wonderfully. I would totally recommend the no pull harness it really works. This place is great. The prices are high but hey it's Carmel. My friend buys her dog and cats the best of the best and that's why she comes here. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable. They were even helpful when my dog ate some chocolate cupcakes off the kitchen counter to determine if the amount was toxic (thank goodness she was ok). Even if you're not interested in feeding raw, they have some of the best selections of high-quality dog and cat foods I've ever seen in one place. If you're a raw enthusiast, you'll find yourself in heaven. Gigantic freezers with products from Greentripe.com, Primal, Instinct, and a host of others I hadn't even heard of before. They sell really unique treats I've never seen before--freeze dried tripe, among others. They also have an awesome selection of leashes and collars, I got a great slip-lead here. Prices: I can't find raw cheaper anywhere else. Once you purchase all your food they'll pack it in coolers for you if you need. They also have insulated shopping bags for 5 bucks. The Raw Connection is the best place in Carmel to get good quality food for your pet. My little guy happens to be a particularly picky eater but I can always find something here that he likes. I switched my dog to the raw food diet about a year ago and will never go back, its more expensive but worth a healthier and happier dog. This review is for Sarah who works at Raw Connection. I went in the other night to let her know that a brand of food I had been buying for my dog for about a year he all the sudden kept getting sick from and would no longer eat it. She was very helpful and explained to me that it could have been a bad batch or could even just have been the fact that hes a 4 pound dog and I bought a large bag that may have gone "bad" before he had a chance to eat it all. I did not have the bag which usually helps in this case but she still took my info and the next day she called and told me that the manufacturer would be crediting me for this bad bag which they would put on my file.
