First of all we LOVED this company UNTIL.... today! Forgot to feed our dog because "things got crazy today".. so does this mean EVERY dog with feeding requirements today went unfed? Was it so crazy that the humans also forgot to eat...??!!! So much for their claim to focus on the highest standards of our pet's health and wellbeing coming first!! Second, a brand new harness was mutilated!!! No accountability or apology other than "there was no way possible since I put it in cubby # whatever"... Well if it was that way and again as their website claims, "focus on the highest standards of safety and personal care..", then why not advise me of the rip at drop off after removing the halter or even at the point of pickup? The rip is so bad that it's totally unsafe - Also the rip is in an area that would be impossible to chew when it's on and we would certainly not endanger our pup's safety .. one strong pull and he's running wild! How can you trust someone who forgets to feed your dog that they weren't irresponsible with the harness? The attitude and lack of any empathy especially about not feeding our pup is atrocious. read more

It was very important to me to find somewhere that was a well kept clean environment and also could tick off all our boxes as far as what services our dog needed. Jess the store manager took care of us really well from start to finish. Pup got so pampered and looked so amazing when we came to pick him up. I took my 11 pound Chihuahua-Terrier mix in on 3/7/23 for a bath, anal gland expression, nails, and hair trim. When I picked him up and looked at the bill, they had charged $20 extra because he's a "long haired" dog-- he doesn't have long hair except a little on top of his head and under his chin. I was annoyed, but accepted it. I was in a hurry, so I grabbed him and left, but when I got home I realized that not a single hair on him was cut! There was no visible evidence that his hair had been trimmed, and shouldn't I be able to tell? When I took him out later, I discovered that they had not expressed his anal glands-- which I had specifically asked about. I then checked his nails, and his nails were the same as they had been when I took him. So their invoice lied, and I paid $80 for a bath. Never again. read more

Tried to make an appointment online and when we arried at our appointment, they told us they canceled it. We were never notified that it was canceled. No phone call, email, nothing. They said we should've received an email and when I said we didn't, they said the system must've glitched.... Yeah. Okay. They felt so bad they scheduled us for the next day. Come the next day, they were going to give us 15% off because of them canceling our appointment. However, when I picked up my dog, they completely destroyed his haircut. The groomer said she "dropped the shaver on him" but physics don't agree with that logic. We believe the groomer started to use the wrong shaver/razer. It's going to take so long for that one patch to grow super long for it to catch up to the rest of his hair. So upsetting. Also, they charge $130 for a doodle hair cut... My goldendoodle has straight hair like a regular dog so why should we have to pay more because of his breed? I haven't heard of any other groomer that charges more for poodle cuts. Or thats charges $130 ONLY for a bath and cut. It's ridiculous. At the end of the day, they texted us at 8pm saying they would give us 50% off our bill due to his terrible hair cut and our overall experience. That was nice but we still paid $65 for his hair to be reuined... We will never come here again. Bad expectations but also this place is way overpriced and overrated. read more

The nails they did trim were so jagged that pieces were hanging off and splintering, so I had to file them when we got home. 4. They said they were going to pluck the hairs inside of my puppy's ears and they did not. Overall, very frustrated. This is our go to location for pet needs. Unfortunately we tried our 1st grooming here and it didn't go well. They didn't clean his ears as requested, didn't trim hair & nails as requested and to make it worse please excuse the graphic pic but he didn't go anywhere else. When he came home he was tired and quiet and not his normal self. I thought it was just bc it was his 1st time. Several days later this is what happens! Luis is THE BEST. Our German spitz El Chapo is a super picky guy. Luckily we've found Luis a year ago and keep coming back every 3-4 weeks. He's such a professional, always asks what you want, patient and very sweet person. To cut my long story short I'll just post a before/after pics. We've been getting the lion cut and so happy with the results. Chapo is mr. antisocial, he doesn't like any other dogs, little better with people. And every time we come back he's so excited and happy to see Luis, I guess that tells a lot. Thank you Luis and the whole Healthy Spot team. We love Healthy Spot!! From the amazingly kind and helpful retail staff (Manager Rene, Bethany, Bren to name a few) to the wonderful, warm daycare staff (Kyra, Heidi, Amber and Victoria!) we feel really lucky to have found Healthy Spot MB. We feel welcomed and like family every time we come in! They know me and my pup Sunny by name and are always cheerful and seem happy to see us! The retail staff always answers any questions about any products and has great recommendations. My dog is so excited when he gets a chance to go to their small dog daycare, he starts jumping up and down in the car when we turn the corner onto their street. It gives me peace of mind to know he's happy and well taken care of by the awesome daycare staff. We just started having Yadira groom our pup, too. He's a miniature poodle, and he just adores Yadira!! We can tell the feeling is mutual. She does so great with him, and is sweet and gentle. She started out shampooing and has moved into grooming and we couldn't be happier. It was just our dog's 2nd birthday. The daycare staff is so sweet I attached some photos of a card and gift bag they gave us. A great place to stop by and check out if you have a pet. I have a 6mo old Shiba Inu that does not respond well to treats/rewards. She doesn't get excited about food (a dog that isn't into food... why me) so it's hard to get her to do things by rewarding. She does like dried fish, so I'm always on the lookout for dried fish treats which you can't find in a regular pet store. This place had a great assortment of natural, healthy dog treats, and I picked up a couple. The people that work there were super nice and friendly, and you could tell they enjoyed what they did. I think it was Bethany (?) that helped us the most, and she included some samples with our purchases, which I really appreciated, since I've bought our dog bags of food that we ended up giving away because our dog didn't like them. This way, I can try out different food before committing to a big bag. I wish the store had a little more clothing/apparel section. The store is on the smaller side, but very clean and brightly lit. The workers are very knowledgeable. Overall a great place to stop by, I wish I could use their day care but it's a little too far away from our work to drop her off/pick her up. In the meantime, we will try to come back to buy some more of their food offerings. read more

Alex gave him the best care w/bathing & patience and care. Knowing he couldn't stand too long w/o taking a break. Their head groomer had him looking like a puppy again every-time he walked out~she knew his his cool fluff look! Sadly, Frankie passed away in August. I brought my Cavalier, Remi, for grooming today with Yadira & we just LOVE her! We as in both Remi & I.. haha. :) She's a very talented & professional groomer & she's super sweet! I admit I'm a bit particular & fussy. But Yadira is just patient & so knowledgeable.. I really appreciate how she takes the time to ask details & explain things.. & she's so kind & caring! Remi's very sensitive when it comes to grooming, as well, but he was giving Yadira gentle thank you kisses when she brought him out at the end! She took such great care of my baby boy today & I am so grateful. I was called 2 hours after I dropped my dogs off that there had been an "incident" and our dog's ear had been cut - they assured me it was only 1/4" but that they were taking her to the vet! The one star is for the fact that they did drop my dog at a vet (not the one they told me they were taking her to) and put a credit card down so I wasn't charged for the antibiotics my dog is now on for 7 days - the vet let us know our dog's ear had been lacerated, not a small 1/4" cut. The manager did not call me or come to speak to me until I tracked him down in the store - worst experience ever. read more

I wanted to like this place more than I did. I went to the Manhattan Beach location because it had sooner appointments than Marina Del Rey or Playa Vista. The facility is really clean and the staff is super nice. I picked out my package online, but then when I got there, I had to explain what I wanted all over again. My dog isn't like a Pomeranian or dog where you can really do a drastic haircut, but she pretty much looked the same when I picked her up...she just smelled better. The cut seemed a bit choppy to me, but I also know that my dog was a bit nervous during the service (she's a recent rescue). The package I picked was supposed to include a blueberry mask, ear cleaning, nail trim, gland expression, etc. and I also added teeth brushing but based on her breath when I picked her up, I am not convinced that any of those other services were done (though I cannot say for certain that they were not). When I checked out, the service that I was invoiced did not match the service I selected -- it was more expensive despite having less "extras." I left kind of feeling like I paid $150 for my dog to be bathed. They did give me some free cooling wipes which was a nice gesture I suppose...I use them to clean her feet after her walks. I do think the store is really nice and the staff were very pleasant and professional, I just wasn't blown away by the grooming services. I did like that they text you 20 minutes before your animal is ready to be picked up. Everything was fast/efficient from that perspective. read more

Hands down thee best place to take your fur baby. We bring our pup here for grooming and daycare. Every single staff member is so caring, helpful, knowledgeable, and I can tell they all truly love animals. Our dog is a 5 year old Pom named Charlie. He has always had a ton of behavioral issues, mostly because he's scared to death of people and other dogs. When we bring Charlie in, they greet him by name, which I still have no clue how they remember it. They are always more than accommodating and welcoming every visit. I am always super hesitant to take him anywhere, but I'm always confident and happy to take him to healthy spot, as I know he will be treated right. Thank you to all staff members at healthy spot! Tried to become a new customer here based on the reviews but ultimately decided against it. I had an appointment booked with them to get one of my dogs groomed but unfortunately my dog got injured (ripped a nail completely off) about two hours before and I had to cancel it. I called back to schedule another appointment a few days after but had to leave a message. After several days, nobody had returned my call. I called them again and the lady told me that they were too busy to return my call. I asked how many days I would've had to wait ultimately to get a call back and was told they didn't know. I didn't book another appointment here because I guess they've got more clients than they can handle. Crazy because all they would've had to do was call me back and they would've had someone bringing in two dogs for grooming every two months for the next 10 years. Easy $10,000+ missed out on because you're too busy to call someone back. read more
