Over six years ago, I took my beautiful dog to Paws at London Towne and always requested one groomer because she consistently provided excellent grooming for my previous border collie, including careful washing and tasteful trims. Fast forward to 2026, and I noticed that many of the negative reviews I previously saw no longer appear on this site. I don't know what happened to them, but I felt compelled to return and share my experience so that others can make informed decisions. When I brought in my new Border Collie, the owner, Alma, informed me that she--not my normal groomer --would be handling his grooming. Since she owned the business, I assumed the results would be at least as good as those I had received from her groomers. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I was very clear that I wanted only a light trim. When I returned to pick up my dog, I barely recognized him. His beautiful coat had been shaved down extremely short instead of being lightly trimmed as requested. When I expressed my concerns to Alma, she did not explain why such an aggressive cut had been performed. As my dog's coat has grown back, it has become noticeably curly across much of his body. Concerned about this change, I spoke with representatives from a Border Collie rescue organization. They explained that experienced groomers generally understand that Border Collies should not be shaved unless medically necessary, as doing so can permanently alter the texture and appearance of their double coat. My disappointment is not only with the grooming result itself, but also with the lack of communication regarding a decision that has had a lasting impact on my dog's coat. Based on my experience, I would encourage anyone considering grooming services here to clearly discuss coat-care expectations beforehand and ensure that the groomer understands the specific needs of their breed. read more

Save your money! Don't bring your animals here!!! The owner is very rude, disrespectful and careless to returning customers. She cut my Chihuahua nails so short that he was bleeding. She treated my elderly dad very poorly and tried to overcharge him for nail trimming. It was first $15 and today she wanted $30. She is not to be trusted and doesn't care about your animals. I have been a regular with Paws at London Towne for over three years now. I have consistently had 5-star experiences with them. My three yorkies are not the easiest to groom, yet every time my dogs look great and are happy. Other groomers that were cheaper (large chain locations) I experienced my dogs shivering and shaking in fear when I picked them up. I know here, they are treated kindly and are not overwhelmed by too many dogs in one small space. My pups are family and I am willing to pay a bit more to know they are in good hands with people who care and give them one on one attention. Huge shout out to Alma, Naomi, Sarah and Liana who are the best in town. No matter which one grooms my pups, it always comes great. I love that they keep track of the haircuts we do so for future appointments I can ask for the same cut or request to change something and it will be noted. While it was tough to get an appointment at the beginning, that just shows how in demand they are and they must be doing something right (if I can easily get an appointment somewhere - it makes me wonder why). My Standard Poodle was a bit raggedy after 3 months in lockdown. We can't say enough good things about the girls at Paws! We had been bringing our baby here since they opened. Now we have a new puppy we rescued during the beginning of COVID. Let me tell you... he needs some training! The girls are incredibly patient and kind with him because of how nervous he is and not used to being groomed. They really want to win him over. He always comes back looking like a million bucks and he is happy! They work their magic and I feel so relieved that he is in good hands during his "spa" day. My dog had the best haircut coming out of Paws at London Towne! They really took their time and care to make sure everything was cut and clean, especially my dog's paws. I own a hypoallergenic mix and his hair grows like crazy and he's basically a cotton ball that soaks up all the dirt on the ground. The way that they groomed his paws ensured that his paws didn't get as dirty and I was SO impressed with their technique! He also looked absolutely adorable. I really like the staff here too, they're friendly and obviously very good with dogs. I noticed that my dog didn't seem stressed at all after his haircut and it shows that they take good care of the dogs throughout the grooming process. The only reason I have to dock a star is because it's quite expensive. I pay more for my dog's grooming than for my own haircuts! If I could, I would bring him every month but due to the cost, I can probably only swing it once every few months. I absolutely love this place. My little Gus gets so excited every time we walk in there and all of the women who work there greet us so kindly! My dog is young and energetic and they never act like he is being a bother even though I see him excite the other dogs they are working on. Gus comes home smelling amazing and shedding less because I always do the deshedding treatment. He is a french bulldog so his big open ears are always cleaned very well and they let me know if they were looking a little dirtier then usual, when to keep an eye on them, or if he may need to go to the vet for an ear infection check. Definitely recommend. They seem committed to the hygiene health of each dog as an individual and my dog loves going there haha! read more

Sarah is the best my mom has been taking her 7 year old Maltese named Mister to her since he was 3 months old. Sarah is the only groomer he's ever known and he loves her, he doesn't love the bath part, but he's always happy to see her. My mom first found Sarah at PetSmart and has followed her wherever she went, when she finally opened up Paws at London Towne, there was no question about going there too. Now that I have my own little one, Bambi who is a chihuahua, she sees Sarah for her nails. I found Bambi wandering a parking lot starving and scared. After having her checked out by the vet he said her nails were severely overgrown and needed to be trimmed, they offered the service but I declined, I knew I could trust Sarah. Bambi wasn't very happy about getting this done but Sarah was so patient with her and then when it was done she didn't even charge me.... When I first moved to RB I found this place to be a gem. Naomi is an exceptional groomer. Over the course of the next two years I faithfully brought my English cocker and was pleased with her services. Unfortunately each time I tried to book and appointment the owner would find another reason to make things difficult. First no credit cards, ok I'll Pay with check. Then no checks (who has cash these days?) Next it was trying to schedule, The owners rudeness became unbearable. Despite over two years of being what I considered to be a loyal and flexible client this woman continued to make things a hassle. Finally we decided to go somewhere else. The cost was half and overall I was very pleased but the actual cutter could not compare to the talent that Naomi displayed. This morning I decided to circle back and try to start back in with paws at Londontown, and specifically Naomi. When I called to book the owner let me know that Naomi's next available appointment was the end of March. This was a bit farther out than I had hoped but in my mind I was trying to figure out how I could make this work. Without any prompting the owner goes on to tell me about how much her prices have gone up In order to match the surrounding shops and how I need to book at least 4 appointments in advance. She was lecturing me. Unfortunately it seems that she hasn't changed. I reminded her that I was happily paying over $100 for my dogs service. But apparently that wasn't good enough. I remembered why I stopped doing business there. I can't imagine any customer appreciating being treated in such away. Quickly I let her know that this wasn't going to work for me and wished her well. If you choose to conduct business here just know what you're getting into. Your dog will likely get an excellent cut but is it worth being treated rudely and as if your very call is a hassle? read more

I first met Alma when she worked at Petsmart and groomed my silky-poo Taylor. She listened to my requests for how I wanted the dog's hair cut, nails done, etc. I loved that she cared! Well, a few years after Taylor died, I adopted Maddie, a Maltese-Shih Tzu. I immediately went to Petsmart to find Alma, but learned she opened her own shop! I immediately drove over there to reconnect and introduce her to Maddie. We've been going there for 6 yrs, with an agreed-upon monthly appointment. It just feels great to know that when I pick up Maddie, she is clean and fluffy with all the services (anal gland, ears cleaned, nails trimmed, sanitary area shaved) completed.
