Years ago I tried to take my daughter here on a Sunday when she was having asthma issues; they were open until 6:00 pm, we arrived at 5:00 pm and were turned away saying they were too busy. Now today, the same scenario (went there because it was the closest to us) - daughter is sick with flu like symptoms, wheezing and her inhaler is not helping; arrived at 4:45 pm and was told "all the staff is taking a break, we can see her in an hour". The staff here is AMAZING! Sliced my finger and ended up with 7 stitches! Tamara sewed me up beautifully ! Rusty was one of the nicest nurses I've ever had who took me to the room and did all the check in vitals. Ben stabbed me very gently with a tetanus shot! It was like a mosquito bite. They all have wonderful personalities and truly were wonderful. And it was close to closing time. If you need an urgent care for an urgent situation, GO here! The most toxic place I have ever worked! That is saying a lot since I have worked at two major hospitals in Michigan. There is little to no communication between the CEO, Billing manager and the other employees. The CEO and billing manager will talk about employees behind their backs to other employees. They currently do not have a billing team so good luck getting your statement after your visit! Also, they do not follow their own write up policies or statements sent via email. I had three write ups for payment posting errors due to errors on the ERA files from Aetna and HAP. Instead of fixing the issue, the billing manager told me "they won't fix it for everyone" and "it was like this at the other places I've worked."Per the write up policy, if I was to receive a fourth write up, that would be terms for a write up. I hadn't received a write up since mid October. Billers were given new contracts changing our pay from salary to hourly, which decreased my pay by $5 an hour. Nobody can live off of that pay! Lastly, I was terminated on December 29th for job performance issues, which is very odd since I was given no examples nor had I received a write up since mid October. The billing manager also said it was due to me not accepting the new contract. At the time, I had not received a paper contract to sign nor was it verbally discussed in office. So I had not accepted nor denied the new contract. The billing manager read the email and even read the section of the email where it states if you do not agree to the contract, please reply to the email. Therefore, I did not agree or disagree to the new contract. None of what goes on at healthy urgent care is professional or ethical. Future employees and patients be aware! read more

I've been here three times. The place isn't very clean. Ashley who is a Nurse P or PA misdiagnosed my daughter's Hand foot and mouth. I told her that this was going around day care. She had all the symptoms. She never looked in her mouth to diagnose the illness which is the first thing you will do to diagnose for HFM disease in the infants. She said she had a heat rash. So I sent her back to daycare the next day. Sure enough the daycare called me an hour after the drop off and said that they think she has it. I ended up taking her to my Pediatrician and the first thing he did was look in her mouth and said she had it. The other mothers in my subdivision have warned me about this urgent care. The Kardashian wanna be receptionist was very rude too. Too many urgent cares to choose from in the area. read more

I visited HUC on Sep 4, 2019. I waited over an hour to be seen by a doctor. I paid my normal co-pay at the time of check-in as usual. HUC is sending me a mo that statement that I own them a co-pay. The service is really bad and now they are trying to double charge me on the co-pay payment. There are other urgent cares that are so much better. Don't go to HUC..... read more

I've been here a number of times over the past few years to affirm what I had already suspected to be a sinus infection, ear infection, bronchitis or something of that variety. The nurses and physician have always been extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about prescriptions and possible adverse reactions to taking certain antibiotics. I would recommend going here to anyone if you don't often see a doctor to have a regular physician to care for you and just need a quick fix. read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars. There care here was terrible and not only did they not help me with the procedure they preformed it also made my issue worse. And when I went back within 24hr to tell them something was not right. They were going to charge me to fix their mistake. I have visited this Urgent Care a couple of times and always had terrific service, from the front desk girl, Evian to Dr Wulff or PA, Dorjana. Once for pink eye, that's no fun and my boyfriend that hurt his back. Dr Wulff is so pleasant to work with and very patient with all the questions that I just have to ask. Everyone here is so friendly and knowledgeable. I would recommend them any day of the week! read more

My husband and I have been here multiple times for emergencies and Covid testing. My brother goes here every time he comes into town for a rapid Covid test. We have found this facility to be clean, staff is very professional and if you make an appointment or call ahead we have never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. Always quicker than ER at the hospital. You can also fill out paperwork ahead of time on line to save time. read more

I am extremely upset with the blatant disregard and lack of responsibility from this office. They mixed up important test results. When I spoke with the office manager all she said was ok I will speak with the staff. The computer printout of the results didn't even have the correct info on it. No type of compensation or even an I'm sorry. But they had no problem taking $250 right away! read more

My boyfriend and I showed up at 9:45pm and the doors were locked. All he needed were some antibiotics for a sinus infection. They told us that they lock the doors at 9:40 if they are "busy". There were three cars total in the parking lot and one person in the waiting room who was obviously a person who drove the patient there. Google said they were open until 10:00pm. Guess they are allowed to pick and choose which patients they are want to treat. read more

Unfortunately we had to pay a visit to the urgent care one evening after my daughter took a really bad spill off of her bike at Kensington. Since this was the closest urgent care we ended up there. Well, we were not disappointed one bit. The doctor and nurses on staff that evening were all so patient and extremely nice. My daughter ended up having to get stitches, which needless to say she was not thrilled about in the least bit. Melissa and Rusty were so patient with my little one and did such a wonderful job making a terrible situation that much better. I am a teacher and typically get strep throat once a year. This is where I always go to be treated and I have had nothing but good experiences. The staff is always very helpful and kind. They have always made me feel comfortable and take as much time as I need to answer all of my questions. The office itself is in a great location and clean. I have typically been in and out within an hour which is WONDERFUL! As for the secretary everyone talks about, she has been nothing but nice to me and I appreciate her efforts to warmly greet me and also say goodbye. And when you walk in the door there's so much perfume coming from the receptionist who is also very rude. Extremely disappointed, not to mention angry, with our New Hudson location. They encouraged me to begin using them as primary care, but without any further instruction. After taking my son twice (one for a cough and once for a wrist fracture) I realized I was being charged $70 for each visit and they wouldn't accept my insurance co-pay for an office visit. They stated this was because I didn't go through the proper channels to "sign-up" as a primary care patient. I was NEVER TOLD I needed to do this. So have paid $140 instead of $30 which would've been the cost using my insurance copay. Needless to say, none of the 5 of us will be returning here, and instead, are returning to our former primary care facilities. read more

From the moment I entered, I thought I might be better off just waiting until the next morning to see my regular doctor. But, I had an infection in my finger, and it hurt, and I wanted it to stop. Reception was okay, I guess. I thought it was really unusual that payment was demanded before any services were rendered, but I guess for urgent care centers, it's probably not uncommon for people to try and skip out on a bill. Either way, it made me feel like I had entered a portal that had taken me from New Hudson to somewhere Downriver. Going back was mostly normal. They took my vitals, and I was then seen by a nurse practitioner. She was quite friendly, and had diagnosed the problem, but was apprehensive about doing more than prescribing antibiotics, since I'm Diabetic. Fair enough. I started on antibiotics. I was instructed to come back three days later, if there wasn't an improvement. Three days later, my arm had started turning red from the spread of infection. The NP lanced it and changed out my antibiotic, and said to come back the next day to determine if I needed to go to the hospital for an IV antibiotic. The next day, another person called to see how I was doing. She was "the doctor", and said there was no reason to come, but that I could come see her if I wanted another opinion. By then, it was Monday, so I called my regular doctor's office, where they were alarmed, to say the least. Something apparently easy to triage became something potentially life-threatening. I get that they were trying to be cautious, but it felt much more like they were trying to get me to keep coming back and paying for office visits -- especially since they did a culture and blood work when they lanced me, and haven't given me (or my doctor) any results nearly a week later. Again, the people were very nice, but in the end, I felt like nobody really knew what was going on. That's enough to keep me from coming back. read more

Took my son there at 9:15pm. He had a high fever and we wanted to make sure it wasn't strep. Called ahead and told them why we were coming (strep possibility and fever for 3 days). My wife took him in and they said well its not strep his throat isn't red nor swollen. Already I was suspect. Because Im not a doctor but you can tell his throat is swollen in his voice and even feeling his glands. So they took his heartbeat from his back, temperature, and looked in his throat. Then informed my wife they were out of rapid strep tests. They said they would call in a antibiotic anyways and it was probably stomach flu. Yes they used the words stomach flu. Not gastroenteritis as a professional would call it. Nor did they even bring a stethoscope anywhere near his abdomen. Don't go there. Avoid it. Find somewhere else. Should be ashamed of being a medical professional. read more

I would leave zero stars if I could. I went in this past Wednesday and was seen by a Dr. Cohen, she was awful from the moment she walked in the door. Explained to her my issues and I walked out diagnosed with a sore throat. Two days later I was still experiencing the same issues only worse, I decided to go to a different urgent care and walked out of there with strep throat and a double ear infection. Thank goodness I decided to listen to myself and decided to get second opinion. Healthy Urgent should be ashamed to have Dr. Cohen as one of their employees, what a joke. Took my son in today because of a high fever. Waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes to see Dr. Jennifer Wullf. The wait I can live with, urgent cares get busy, and overall they were very pleasant. I also understand that doctors can make mistakes but that would only be a valid excuse if she made any kind of effort to diagnose him. I guess high fever in a 5 year old is a guarantee that he has the flu, even though, she admitted he wasn't showing any symptoms of the flu yet... prescribed him Tamiflu, and 30 seconds after she walked in, she was gone again. I drove to the pharmacy that they were sending the script to approximately 30 minutes later and it hadn't even been called in or sent over yet. I guess that's not a huge deal, but when I called my wife to let her know how things went she urged me to take him to another doctor, so I did. We arrived they were less busy and I was back to see another Doc who first did a rapid flu test and said he was negative for multiple influenza strands but then the doctor said my son smelled like he had strep (I didn't know that was a thing). A couple minutes later they did a fast strep test and he was absolutely positive. Shame on her for the job she didn't take the time to do because of a busy waiting room. Had I put my trust in this woman my 5 year old would have had to endure a much longer recovery time and not to mention undiagnosed strep is hard on heart. If you took an extra 5 seconds to bother and look at his throat you would have know right away more was wrong, swollen and red. Shame on you, Jennifer Wulff MD. read more

I do NOT recommend New Hudson Urgent Care. I took my son in for a sports physical. I asked at the receptionist if I could get a copy of his immunization records and was told yes. I asked the nurse and she said she'd get it. After the exam I was told that it was Urgent Care policy to not print out vaccine records for sports physicals. My son was even an established patient there. I called other Urgent Cares and was told that this was NOT an Urgent Care policy. I called back and questioned the validity of it being an Urgent Care policy. They then told me that they had actually done me a favor by charging me $25 for a sports physical when it was actually a boy scout physical and I should have been charged more. Some favor... Now I need to pay for another doctor to get the immunization records printed. If this is in fact the policy, I should have been told upfront so that I could have gone to another doctor's office and not had to pay twice. read more

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My 9th month year old son had a stomach bug and we showed up right before close at 10pm. Even though we showed up right before close and I'm sure the staff wanted to go home, they took their time with us, were super friendly and answered all our questions. The nurse practitioner Ashley Tupper had a great bedside manner and was very through in diagnosing my son. I would definitely recommend Healthy Urgent Care! read more
