And to say there is no pain is exaggerated. There is some pain, but somewhat minimal. I did have negative effects afterwards that lasted for several days. I feel I am probably the exception and not the rule, as I see many benefiting from acupuncture. But it obviously is not beneficial to everyone.

He asked if I had a tingly, tension in my ankle/lower left leg persisting for weeks to the point where I couldn't sleep, and I was shocked anyone could think of something so specific!
