We asked how much a cleaning would be for her and they informed us it would be around $65. This would include cleaning her ears as well as as the hearing aids. We thought that was fair, given we are in California lol After taking her hearing aids out and checking both her ears and the aids, they discovered neither one really needed to be cleaned. The gentleman who is helping us explain to my mom one area that she could brush free of some dust, and after learning that she didn't have a brush... He went and got her a couple for free. They didn't even let us pay. I thought this was so generous as they could've still charged us for the appointment and the time they took to sit with my mom. Great location, great service. Costco carries the name brand hearing aids you find in a audiology office but under a different name, made by the same manufacturer. You are able to try the hearing aid while in the store before purchasing. The free hearing test they give you is so much better than what the doctors' offices offer. The only difference is it is done with a computer. The benefits of purchasing a hearing aid from Costco is so much better than what audiologist offices offer for more than half off the price. The only thing about Costco is there was no Doctor of Audiology at the store when I was there but if you had a hearing test with the results, and know pretty much what you want, you don't need to speak to one. It does take a little longer to receive the hearing aid from Costco than if you went to a doctor's office. The hearing instrument specialists are pretty knowledgeable, but it depends on who you get. For me, Jazmin at the Costco Cabot Road location is the best to work with.

So, I know a guy who fit two of my friends with hearing aids and they are both very happy. Dr Allen Schade is the audiologist, and he even makes house calls. I live in Los Angeles and Dr Schade is in Dana Point. But I travel to Orange County on business 2 to 3 times a month. I had seen him a year or 2 ago. I called him, set up an appt for him to come to my hotel in Irvine. He checked my ears and tested my hearing. He explained that I have a high pitch hearing loss, and that's why it sounds like people are mumbling. He had a pair of hearing aids with him. We put them on, and he programmed them for my loss and let me try them for a couple of weeks. They are amazing, truly amazing. Voices are do much clearer. They make such a difference. I called Dr Schade and said I want to buy them, ( his prices are much lower than most offices because he has a lot lower overhead ). I have had them for a little over a month now and I can't imagine going to a meeting or business dinner without them. I'm very happy I called Dr Schade. Should have done it sooner.

Dr. Schade met with my mom at my house the next day and cleaned and adjusted her aids. Now that she's hearing better she's more relaxed and enjoying her time with her grandchildren. I have had hearing aids for over 10 years and dealing with the same place all that time , but my…read moreprimary care recommended I go to Sonus to get newer updated hearing aids , so after being absolutely spoiled at the other firm for many years , I went to Sonus in Laguna Hills which was great I live literally 3 minutes away, everything seemed fine got my hearing checked and that young lady was fine , I believe her name was Danielle all went well did my moulds for my new aids and after waiting a few weeks my hearing aids arrived yesterday , the lady who dispensed my hearing aids was very thoughtful , +considerate easy to get along with , now comes the next day and mid day one of my ears is really hurting and my hearing aid kept falling out , so I called to see if I would be able to stop by just to have one of their people look at my ear to let me know if it was normal , well I was totally taken aback as they said the next available appointment was a WEEK AWAY!!! I took the appointment but my ear was seriously pounding so on my way home I decided to just try to see if by chance anyone there could just look at my ear , the young lady at the front desk said let me go ask my provider if there's anything we can do to help , she went to talk to some lady and came back and said have a seat no guarantees , but we'll try to get you in , in the 15 or so minutes I was there one person was on their way out and I sat for a good 10 minutes before someone else came in , any other healthcare firm I've gone to always checked up to make sure all was well and explicitly told me if any problems call immediately , this place would not even take a look at me even though I was there for 10 minutes or more alone , I got my hearing aids but they just seemed that they knew they were getting their money from my insurance and just didn't seem to care after that , this is actually the 1st time a firm who's supposed to look after your health just didn't seem to care .... NOT A VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE AT ALL ....

Seemed only one patient is scheduled there at a time. To say that my experience was life changing isn't an understatement! Nancy, the audiologist took all the time needed to diagnose my hearing loss and also fit my aids to block out different sounds that were intolerable due to over sensitive left hearing from recent traumatic brain injury. Amazing what today's technology is capable of. I feel so lucky. The aids even stream to my phone so they auto connect to Spotify, POD Casts, Audiobooks & app even piped in Zen music if I want. No more headphones needed!! So small they're unnoticeable too. When it came time to pay, my ENT had quoted me $8k. I was out the door at Rose Hearing via Hear.com for $4200. & insurance covered $2K of that. Highly recommend checking out Rose Hearing

My Signia hearing aids went out of warranty this month, yet the staff helped me by dealing directly with Signia to obtain a new wall charger for my hearing aids. The staff is very helpful and professional and I highly recommend this company. My experience is not limited to HearUSA. When I first obtained hearing aids, it was from Costco Wholesale. I chose the Kirkland Signature model. I was never able to get these hearing aids to work properly. Each time I took them back to Costco, the technician would start to diagnose the problem, then would say.."well, I've spent 45 minutes and they're not quite adjusted, but if you come back in two weeks, we'll try again..." this went on for four months. I gave up, got a refund, and went directly to HearUSA.
